~Sixteen Days Later || 9:00~

It's safe to say Jimin took off work today.

He kisses her neck, trying to wake her up. "Baby," he murmurs, brushing his fingers across her bare thighs. She's wearing one of his hoodies and panties, nothing else. What a gorgeous sight to wake up to. He smiles, watching as she squirms, starting to wake. "Mmm, baby. Wake up," he whispers, nuzzling his nose against the back of her neck. She groans as she comes to, her back pressed up against Jimin's chest, her hair covering her face.

"Wake up, Jagi," he says, still brushing his fingers up and down her thighs.

"I'm awake," she mumbles, her voice low.

He chuckles, kissing her neck a few times. "We have a lot to do today, baby." She slowly turns, him backing up a bit so she can face him. She flutters her eyes open, his meeting hers. They stare for a few moments, the sides of their heads pressed against their pillows as he softly smiles. "Good morning, my love," he whispers.

She returns his soft smile. "Good morning, Mochi." She comes closer, placing a hand on his cheek. "How do you look this good even in the morning?" she asks, and his smile only widens. His heart threatens to burst from happiness.

"That's what happens when you're in love. You look good all the time."

She laughs. "That was honestly the cringiest thing I've ever heard. You couldn't see it, but I gagged."

He giggles, kissing her forehead quickly. "Well it makes sense. Having a lover means I'm eating well, sleeping well, fucking well, showering well..."

"Oh my God," she replies with a playful eyeroll.

"Come closer, my love." She does, placing her head on his chest. He holds her, keeping his hands on her back. Jimin closes his eyes, enjoying their moments together. "You look beautiful," he whispers, keeping his eyes shut.

"So do you," she whispers back. The two of them go quiet, the only sound in the room being their breathing. For a few minutes, they cuddle and appreciate the rise and fall of the other's chest. Jimin stirs, feeling his legs cramping up.

"I hate to be that person, but..."

"You need to move?" she asks with a snort.

He hums. "Sorry baby."

"I don't care, you do what you have to, Mimi." He giggles, rolling away from her reluctantly. Jimin hops to his feet, stretching out as she wakes up behind him. "What do you have planned, Mochi?" she asks, causing him to snicker. Once again, he didn't let her plan anything. He wanted to be in control for this one, and she protested but eventually agreed. Start of the day; perfect breakfast and a surprise. Guess who gave a spare key to Jin so he could sneak in and make a good breakfast? Park Jimin. That's why he was trying to wake his girl up.

"Come on, get changed, baby. we have something to do."

"We do?" He hums. He hopes Jin is gone by now, they may be cutting it close, but he said to have it done for nine and it's exactly nine now. Y/N doesn't question him anymore, she just hops up. Instead of fully getting changed, she only puts a pair of shorts on. Aw, she's still in his hoodie. So cute.

"You're the most gorgeous person in this galaxy," he mutters, not even meaning to say it aloud.

She gets flustered. "Me or you?"

He chuckles. "Both of us." Jimin throws on a shirt and shorts, trotting over to her and offering her his hand. She takes it, him pulling her out of the room. She giggles the whole way down to the main room, Baby rushing over to them.

Jin isn't in the kitchen, so that must mean he's gone. Jimin covers Y/N's eyes, making her yelp. "Hey!" she says, making him laugh.

"I have a surpriseeee," he replies, kissing the top of her head. The kitchen has breakfast all set up, Baby licking at their toes as he moves her forward. On the kitchen counter is a whole bouquet of roses, just like the one he grew for her all those months ago. Actually, a year ago. Literally almost a full year ago. Holy shit. He has to get used to saying they've been together for a year now.

"Just a little further, baby," he says, helping her.

"Is it finally the sex dungeon I was promised?" Ah yes, back for their one month, she jokingly asked if he was taking her to a sex dungeon. He doesn't remember his response, but it was along the lines of 'maybe in the future'. Well, shit, he should have thought of that. A whole ass sex dungeon? Jimin would love that. All night in there? Damn, now he suddenly wants to change the mood...

"Sorry baby, not yet. You're giving me ideas for our next anniversary though," he replies, giggling with her. As soon as they're right in front of the roses, he stops her. "Ready?"

"Not really."

He laughs, then pauses. "How about now?" Jimin feels her smile.

"As ready as I'll ever be." He slowly takes his hands off her, staying right behind her as she blinks her eyes open. She stares in awe, her mouth falling open. "Baby boy," she mutters, going forward and picking up the bouquet of roses. She brings them to her nose, taking in a deep breath. "Wow," she adds, turning to face him with a soft look. "Min..."

He chuckles, coming closer and placing his hands on her hips. Before she can say anything, he sweetly kisses her forehead. "I love you, princess. You deserve this and so much more."

Of course, she gets shy at that. She giggles, kissing his cheek while holding the roses. "You really got me flowers?"

He hums. "Ordered them, had a friend bring them in."

"Oh? Do I know this friend?" she asks, waggling her brows. He bites his lower lip, which gives her the answer she needs. She laughs, pecking his lips. "Thank you, Mochi. I mean it. I love you." He smiles, keeping one hand around her waist as he guides her into the kitchen.

"And of course, the day isn't right unless it's started with a lovely breakfast."

"Okay am I crazy or are the pancakes heart-shaped?" she asks in disbelief, practically bouncing over to the two plates Jin left on the counter, far out of reach of Baby. Speaking of Baby, she's panting, peacefully sitting on the ground only a few feet away. She's just chilling, watching her owners being all cute and in love. The usual.

"They are," he says. "Wait did he put heart-shaped butter on top too?"

"He? Oh, was it Jin?"

Jimin giggles. "Maybe."

She giggles back, pecking his lips. "That's adorable, you really set all this up for me?" she asks.

"Anything for my precious angel." He takes the flowers from her, making her pout. "I'm sorry, baby. I'll put them in a big vase for you. Don't pout, you get to see them but you need to eat!"

"Nutrition is important but not as important as smelling the flowers my fiancé got for me," she replies, giving him puppy eyes. Fuck this is hard, she's cute.

"Nutrition first," he says, causing her to sigh.

"You're no fun."

"That's not what you were-"

"Saying last night," she finishes, raising a single brow at him. "Uh huh," she adds with a huff.

"Come on, honey. Breakfast isn't gonna eat itself!" he says in a cheer.

She playfully rolls her eyes. "Okaaay, fine. Only because you took the time to plan it for me. Thank you again, Mochi."

He kisses her nose. "Don't thank me for taking care of my princess."

Soon enough, the two are settled into the couch, eating while watching TV. The news is still talking about the war even after all this time. Granted, it's a hot topic, but everything is pretty much open and normal again. The war will never truly fade away. It took millions of lives, but maybe it's best to try and move on. The screens are filled with Jimin's face, same with Jin and Anya's. Really the whole crew, but those three in particular with the occasional Taekook.

Jin and Anya liberating a whole ass Martian prison camp is being used as a main story. It's one of those tales that'll be told to children one day to show how even two people from no where can be heroes. Jimin's face is around for the obvious reason. He's the damn Commander of the Earth military not to mention he put a bullet in Commander Clementine's head for hurting his girl. Well, she deserved it, but still. Doesn't change the fact that he did it and it's all over the news.

Jimin leans against his woman, eating rather slowly to focus on the proximity they share. "Min?" He hums. "I love you so much."

He peeks at her, raising a brow. "Where's this coming from?"

She swallows a piece of her food, smiling before pecking his lips. "Just thought I'd tell you. I'll always love you and only you. I promise."

He chuckles. "Only me? What about Jungkook?"

"Okay that's not fair, he has a few years on you, Parkie."

He chuckles, pecking her lips again. "I love you and Jungkook too. How about we make an exception? Bun Bun can be loved by us."

"What about Tae?" she asks.

Jimin furrows his brows. "Okay. Tae too."

"And Yoongi?"

"It's starting to sound like you love a lot more people than just me. Uh oh, should I be jealous?"

"If a guy so much as breathes in my direction you get jealous."

He smirks. "Well do they talk to you?" She shakes her head. "Then I'm doing my job well."

"Uh huh," she cheekily replies, going back to her breakfast.

They look at the screen again, seeing the news talking about the aftermath. "The memorial for the fallen is being held tomorrow at eleven a.m., we'll have a ceremony broadcasting if anyone wants to participate from home. We've lost many lives during the war, Australia, Russia, and Canada suffering the most damages. London is still holding strong despite the Martian's desperate attacks to try and eliminate the Council and Commission. Although the death toll seems to rise more and more every day as cities are cleaned up, it's safe to say that life will go on. We can relax. Everything is over. Mars is at bay with Earth patrols constantly around it, Earth ambassadors running the planet."

The male reporter takes a moment, then softly smiles. "I'd like to take a moment to thank the Earth military for their service. Normally I wouldn't get personal on air, but my sister was almost killed during that battle. She was taken to a prison camp to be executed on live TV. If it wasn't for the Moonchild crew and her fellow Earth soldiers, she would have been killed. Thank you to every soldier who served, and Commander Park, if by some miracle you're watching this..." Jimin winks at the screen. "Thank you for leading our military. And yes, I saw your tweet about your wrist. I hope it's healing nicely."

The reporter gives a small outro to run into commercials, causing both Jimin and his girl to sigh. "Looks like we're really respected, huh?" she says.

"How can we not be? I'm the Commander of the Earth's whole military not to mention the Captain of the most famous crew in the system's history," Jimin replies with a shrug. Y/N pauses for a moment, staring at the table with tears in her eyes. It's safe to say Jimin instantly panics. "Hey, Jagi. Jagi, what's wrong?" he whispers, tilting her head towards him.

"We were nothing," she whispers back. "I was on Ganymede as no one. Abused. Lost. Disowned. I was going to live a terrible, horrible life. Taehyung was similar, he lost everything due to something he couldn't control. Kook? Had no childhood, experimented on, enhancements. Yoongi is the exact same way. Sapphire and Anya watched their home die, same with Kai. Seulgi battling addiction, Hoseok running from the planet he hates only to end up back there fighting a whole ass war for it, risking his life for a place he despised, Jin ignored his whole childhood with no one to turn to, and Baekhyun running from himself."

She pauses, looking right into his eyes. "Then, there's you..." His breath gets caught in his throat. "Parents turn into villains, you leave everything behind, you lose a whole ship and as soon as you start to be more confident with yourself, the person who helped you survive sacrifices himself for the crew. Do I even need to bring up how you hated yourself? How you starved yourself?" He slowly shakes his head. Y/N lets out a long sigh. "We're no one. Nothing. We had shit lives, shit families, nothing but misery constantly eating us up. There's not one storyline where our paths were supposed to cross, where you and I were supposed to fall in love, where the crew bands together and beats everything we've ever faced against all odds..." She trails off, letting her tears fall. "But once again, we beat the odds. We shouldn't have met. There's no reason why we should have. But we did."

He stares at her in shock, unsure of what to say. "We met and now the solar system is safe. Because of us. All eleven of us- no, wait. That's not right." Jimin leans closer, wanting to absorb every word of what she has to say. "Twelve. There's twelve of us."

He lets out a breath. "Wha... what?"

"Jin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Taehyung, Jungkook, Seulgi, Sapphire, Anya, Baekhyun, you, me... and Namjoon." Jimin feels his own tears welling up as she lets out a humorless chuckle. "I have great timing, right? Getting all sappy and emotional on you on our year anniversary, but I feel like I needed to say it."

"Say what?" he asks.

She gives him the warmest smile he's ever seen. "We're special." He returns the smile, almost giggling. "We're the luckiest bastards in this system, but that was fate. Jimin, I never believed in fate until you showed up." He holds her left hand, brushing his fingers over her ring. "This crew, we were meant to be. Everyone knows that. Twelve people click together so well, how? Because it was fate that we met. Fate that we clicked. Fate that out of the billions in the solar systems from different worlds, we all met. Those specific twelve. And it was fate we fell in love."

She kisses his cheek, "Jimin, let's be honest. If you and I never met, none of this would have happened."

He sadly smiles. "No, I would've never had the courage to do half the things I did. Especially after Namjoon. I wouldn't have killed Chaeyoung, I wouldn't have killed Clementine, and I wouldn't have broken your father's nose."

"Thanks for that, by the way."

He kisses her forehead. "He deserved it." He brings her into a hug, the two closing their eyes, breathing in-sync. "Y/N?" She softly hums, the sound vibrating throughout his body. "The crew is meant to be, but you, me, and Jungkook? We're the glue that holds it together." He can feel her smile as he holds her tighter.

"Yeah we are. We really are." Jimin opens his eyes, feeling the air get stiff around him. He knows what that means. He lets a smile grace his lips as he turns to the front door, seeing the familiar ghost watching him. Jimin nudges Y/N, and she gets the message, looking up and seeing him standing there.

Jimin wraps an arm around Y/N's shoulder, the two just staring at Namjoon with longing in their eyes. Jimin hasn't seen Joon since the war ended. Wait, no. Jimin's eyes widen as he puts the dots together, Namjoon unmoving for a moment. Jimin sniffles, trying not to cry, but that's impossible. "Blond, huh?" Namjoon whisper-asks, motioning to the Captain's hair. Jimin's tears fall, his lower lip quivering as he nods, running a hand through his soft locks.

"B-Blond," Jimin repeats, his voice cracking.

Namjoon softly smiles, the particles of his ghost slipping away. They fade through the cracks of their front door slowly, Namjoon's form turning from a man to just a beam of light. And soon enough, he's gone. Jimin lets out a breath, staring at the space his former Captain was.

"Wow," he starts, coughing. "Babe, that's one hell of an anniversary present you got me."

She comes closer to him. "Are... are you okay?"

"Are you kidding? I needed that. I know he came because of what you said. Thank you." He turns back to her, placing both his hands on her face. They stay quiet for a moment, Y/N's tears falling more.

"He's gone, isn't he?" she whispers.

"He always has been."

"He went to go sleep forever, right?" she asks, ignoring his previous comment. She sounds like a scared kid, but honestly? Jimin feels the same way. So, with a sigh, he brings her back into a hug.

"Yeah, babe. Yeah, I think he did..."

~11:07~

Jungkook peeks out and looks at Tae, his form leaning against the balcony railing. "Uh, babe? What are you doing?"

Tae jumps at the sound of Jungkook's voice, turning around. "Oh jeez, Kook. You scared me. Everything okay?" Jungkook slowly nods, approaching Tae. He senses Tae's sadness and rushes into action, wrapping his arms around Tae's back. Tae sighs, leaning back against Jungkook's chest.

"This is exactly what I needed, back hugs from the best husband in the world."

Jungkook pecks Taehyung's neck. "Want to tell me what's going on?" Jungkook asks, closing his eyes as he rests his chin on Tae's shoulder. He knows Tae will talk when he wants to, so he doesn't speak again. He waits in silence. For a full minute, Tae just breathes, not speaking. Jungkook thinks he won't speak at all until he clears his throat.

"It's been over a year. I thought I'd honor them."

Jungkook is only more confused. "Honor them? Who?" Jungkook opens his eyes, looking to see Tae's eyes up in the sky.

"I wanted to save it for night, but mom always loved the sun." Instead of back hugging Tae, Jungkook slips next to him, gazing at his husband with concern.

"I'm still a little confused. No more intelligence enhancements, remember?" Jungkook asks.

Tae cracks a smile at that, glancing down at the ground for a moment before meeting Jungkook's eyes. "Around this time last year, probably a week or two ago, I lost my family."

"Oh," Jungkook says as Tae looks up at the sky again. Jungkook comes closer, wrapping an arm around Taehyung's waist. They peer up at the sky together, Jungkook deciding not to talk since he's pretty bad with feelings.

"Don't get me wrong, I love this crew, and I love you more than anything in this galaxy, but..." He breaks off for a second, sighing. "Why did it have to be my home? My family? I just don't get it. What did my family ever do to the system to deserve to go out like that?"

Jungkook gives Taehyung's waist a squeeze. "They didn't deserve that, and neither did you. I'm so, so sorry, Tae. I wish there was something I could do."

Tae only nods, averting his eyes. After another minute of quiet, Tae lets out a breath. "You know, one of the main reasons why I kept fighting was because of them."

Jungkook furrows his brows. "How so?"

"I wanted to believe that they were up there, watching me. I wanted them to be proud. And after seeing the ghost of Namjoon even though I didn't even know him, I know that they're there. I know they've seen everything I've done," Tae says.

"And they're proud," Jungkook whispers.

Tae sniffles, softly chuckling. "They would have liked you." Jungkook frowns, watching as Tae slowly descends into tears. "They really, really would have liked you." As if that sentence was a door, it opens, the tears bursting through. Jungkook brings Tae into a hug, letting his husband cry against his chest.

"I'm so sorry," Jungkook mutters, closing his eyes and tearing up himself. This isn't exactly easy to listen to.

For the next few minutes, Jungkook holds Taehyung close, listening to his soft sobs. The sound makes Jungkook's heart break. The last thing he wants is to see Tae in pain, but he knows there's nothing he can do other than try and comfort him. This is something no one can just 'get over', even with time. He lost everything. Jungkook can't help but feel terrible. He almost wishes he could go back and time and get to Triton before the creatures even came. Get Tae and his family out. But that's impossible. No matter how technologically advanced the system is, time travel was always out of reach.

Tae pulls back after a few minutes, peeking up at Jungkook with his beautiful eyes. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to kill the mood for today, it's supposed to be a happy day."

"Hey, don't say that," Jungkook says, placing a hand on Tae's cheek. "I'm here for you both in your highest and lowest moments. I'll always be here for you. Always, okay?"

"But... I feel bad."

Jungkook kisses his forehead, waiting a few seconds before pulling away. "Don't. Please? For me?"

He softens, nodding to Jungkook's words. "Okay," he whispers. Jungkook brings him back against his body, hugging him one last time.

"Is there anything I can help with?" Jungkook asks.

"You're already helping enough. There's not much else we can do. I wanted to take a day to honor them, you know?"

Jungkook hums. "I understand, babe. Take all the time you need, and if you want me to do anything just say the word, alright?"

Taehyung once again nods, backing away completely. "Thank you. Really, this means a lot to me."

"I'm glad I'm here for it. Tae, thank you for trusting me to be this close to you. For trusting me to see these parts of you."

"There's no one else I'd rather have by my side," Tae replies with a small smile, wiping his tears away. Together, they trot away from the balcony, going back into the room connected to it. "Do you think that the others ever miss their families?" Tae whisper-asks. "Jin, Y/N, Hoseok?"

"I'm sure they do all the time. Hoseok's parents are here, but... away."

"In California, right?"

Jungkook nods. "I wonder why he never visits."

"I don't think it's anything they did. I think he wants his own life. He didn't want anything to do with Earth," Tae says.

Jungkook shrugs. "I guess that makes sense, Hoseok has never been very fond of Earth."

"Nope, never."

"Are you?" Jungkook asks. "Fond of Earth, I mean."

Taehyung crosses his arms on his chest, biting his lower lip for a moment. "Earth. Of course I like Triton more, but Earth? I can't complain. Honestly, it's not bad. I like the nature Binghamton has. For the first time in my life, I'm seeing real grass and trees. Triton never had any of that, ever. I didn't mind it that much, but I must say the food there sucks compared to here. At least Earth has two things better than Triton. Food and sights."

Jungkook chuckles. "Triton didn't have much in the way of food, right?"

"Mostly seafood," Taehyung replies with a shrug. "Because of how cold it was, it was easy to keep fish in the water. Animals were harder to take care of. Constantly dying. Steak was rare on Triton."

Jungkook keeps a small smile on his face. "Then I'm glad you're here. I'm glad you're with me."

Taehyung sheepishly smiles. "Jungkook?"

He comes closer, placing his hands on Taehyung's waist. "Yes?" Tae meets Jungkook's eyes, showing his gratitude.

"I'm so glad we met. So, so glad..."

~13:07~

Baekhyun stares out at the clear sky, sad there's no clouds today. Not only is it bright and hot, but he likes making shapes out of clouds. Now since he has no legs, it's not like he has much more to do. He has no job, it's impossible to sleep and shower, and he has no motivation. So what's the thing he decides to do? Meet up with Aurora. He decided to get his heart stomped on because why not add to his list of problems?

She should be here any minute. He said he'd be at the park since he has something to show her. Yeah, the media doesn't exactly know about his condition yet. He hasn't been out and about, he hasn't even said it on Twitter. He's written documents about the experience of losing the Moon, but other than that, not much has been said about his paralysis.

Aurora. Sweet Aurora. He really likes her, more than he should. Now he's about to break things off with her for her own good. If there even were things going on between them to begin with, he practically ghosted her the entire time after the war. Even if she accepts him being paralyzed, she'll be mad at him for talking so little. She seemed understanding, but that could've just been an act.

"Baekhyun?" He flinches, turning to look at where the voice came from. The familiar redhead comes strolling down the sidewalk, looking at his wheelchair in confusion. "What... what happened?" she whisper-asks, stopping once she's only a couple feet away.

He sighs, averting his eyes to the concrete. "I didn't want to tell you over text. Actually, I wasn't sure how to tell you at all, so I thought it'd be best to show you."

She kneels next to him, placing a hand over his. "Tell me," she says.

At her concerned tone, he looks at her in shock. "Well... the war. During the battle, we had this man in our group. Jace. A Martian that saved half of the crew's life one time. We never fully trusted him, but we thought he was on our side at the very least."

Aurora's eyes fill with sympathy. "He did this to you?"

Baekhyun frowns. "He went to shoot Y/N, but I couldn't let that happen. I couldn't let her get hurt. It was almost like on instinct that I jumped in front of her and took the bullet."

"Jesus," she murmurs, eyes widening.

"I know. And now? I'm paralyzed." She sits back on the balls of her feet, processing his words. For a few moments, it's silent between them, so, Baekhyun sighs. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you, and for being so distant ever since the battle." She raises a brow at him. "I wanted to tell you in person that we should stay as just friends." Aurora gives him the strangest look he's ever seen. "You deserve better than this. Than someone in a wheelchair for the rest of his life, unable to-" She quickly cuts him off.

She kisses him.

His eyes nearly burst out of his head as she gently places her lips over his, closing her eyes to enjoy it. Although he's shaking like crazy, he relaxes and kisses back, placing a hand on her cheek. They stay like that for a few moments, her pulling back first.

"If you weren't in a wheelchair, I'd threaten to beat you for even thinking something like that," she says. He raises both his brows, causing her to chuckle. "You think I care if you're in a wheelchair, Byun?"

"But you're young. You should go with someone who can walk, who can go for runs with you, take hikes, swim-"

"I'm scared of the ocean, remember?" she says.

He lets out a sigh, softly smiling. "Yeah... yeah, I guess you are."

She comes closer. "And Baekhyun?" He nods. "I can run and go for hikes on my own or with friends. Not everything I do has to be with my lover." Aurora goes quiet for a moment, shaking her head. "I'm so, so sorry you got hurt. You didn't deserve it. You deserve a life of peace and quiet. You've done more than enough for the system. Much more than enough." She places a hand on his cheek. "I'm saying this because I genuinely want to be with you. This isn't pity, it's me wanting to show you what a peaceful life is like."

"Why?" he whisper-asks, almost scared of the answer.

"Like I said, you deserve it. You deserve it more than anything. You've been fighting for what? A whole year now?" He somberly nods. "Every document you write on Twitter I read, did you know that?" Baekhyun shakes his head. "I read every word and feel fascinated. You've seen all this shit, and you write it in such great detail. You're so talented, kind, clever, funny..." She pauses for a moment, sweetly smiling. "You had my attention the first time we laid eyes on each other."

Baekhyun returns her sweet smile. "So did you."

"Was it because I'm attractive or because I have bright red hair?"

He laughs. "Okay, a little bit of both, but mostly because I sensed something was special about you."

"Well you're definitely right about that," she teases.

"Cocky much?" Baekhyun asks, not hiding the amusement in his tone.

"What can I say? I have to keep you on your toes."

"Uh huh."

She laughs, giving his shoulder a nudge. She stays kneeled next to him, staring up at the sky. He does the same, admiring the blue color. Back during the battle, when it was red? That was terrifying. The amount of destruction that day was disgusting, but Earth cleaned up all the debris. Now, everything is back to normal. Or at least as normal as it can be, all things considered.

Aurora rests her head against his arm, sighing. "I told you, you deserve a peaceful life," she says.

He keeps his eyes in the sky, softly smiling. "Maybe, but I don't know how to get one."

"Do you trust me?"

He looks down at her, her taking a second before meeting his eyes. "Not really."

She laughs, Baekhyun laughing with her. Regardless, she entwines her hand with his. "I can try and show you, if you'll let me?" For a moment, she seems really shy and nervous. Baekhyun softly smiles at her shy state, using his other hand to brush a strand of her red locks behind her ear.

"Alright. I'll let you."

~18:47~

"Okay, seriously, where are you taking me?"

Jimin laughs behind you, refusing to take the blindfold off you yet. "Is it actually the sex dungeon this time?" you ask.

"We're in public!" he whines.

"You say that as if your Twitter bio isn't 'horny for Y/N'," you cheekily reply.

"Okay fair, but still!"

"And as if you didn't fuck me in front of someone at the club."

"Alrightttt, I see your point," he says with a sigh. "Just trust me, this will be worth it."

"I'm trusting you, Park. If you lead me into a wall, I'll be pissed."

"I won't!" he says, leading you further. Soon enough, you're slowed to a stop, Jimin's hands giving your shoulders a squeeze. "Ready?"

"Not really."

"At least you're honest," he replies before taking off your blindfold. The lowering sun fills your vision as you blink, taking in your surroundings. It looks like you're in the outskirts of the city, almost near Jimin's house. You stare dead ahead, your eyes widening when you see a truck there. A big ass truck with customers going up to the window, a man behind it handing food to them.

"I told you I'd take you here one day," he murmurs, kissing your cheek.

You read the sign on the truck, snickering. "Papa Joe's?"

"Best burgers in the neighborhood! I told you I'd take you here with Jihyun, but I think it'd be even better to celebrate our year here."

"You actually brought me to Papa Joe's," you say, sighing with a smile.

"I'm telling you, these burgers are no joke."

"Mhmm," you reply, giving him a cheeky smile. "Let's go find out if it's still as good as you remember."

He smirks, bringing you up to the window. The man turns, his eyes widening once he sees Jimin there. "Park Jimin!" he calls, holding his hand out.

Jimin laughs, shaking his hand eagerly. "Good to see you again, Joe."

"My my, you've grown. Jihyun always talks about you."

"He still comes?" Jimin asks, his eyes expanding.

"Oh yeah, every Saturday."

Jimin seems touched by that. "Wow. He kept our tradition alive."

The man, Joe, chuckles. "I see you brought a special friend."

You hold up your ring. "Very special I'd say. Jimin is a little whipped for me."

"I would argue, but she's not wrong," he replies with a shrug.

Joe laughs. "Perfect for each other. What can I get for Mr. and Mrs. Park?" You get flustered, glancing at Jimin, who chuckles as if reading your thoughts.

"How about two of your specialties? It's been far too long since I've had one."

"It's been far too long since I've made one for you," Joe eagerly replies, getting to work.

Jimin wraps an arm around you, kissing the top of your head. "I'm a man of my word, babe. If I say I'm going to take you somewhere, I mean it."

"Oh I know. Cheeky bastard. I mean, you always take me to heaven."

He smirks, then winks. "Can't help it, sweetheart." You playfully roll your eyes, something Jimin makes you do a lot. He's... interesting. You certainly got an interesting partner, that's for sure. No denying that he keeps you on your toes.

After only a couple minutes of waiting, Joe comes back, handing a tray out to the two of you. "Allow me," Jimin says, grabbing the tray before you can.

"What a gentleman," you say, teasing him ever so slightly. He chuckles, holding the tray close to his chest. Two plates are on it, each one having a burger and some fries. Classic meal, huh? You're not picky, you're glad he's excited to show you this. It's cute when he's excited.

"It's nice to meet you, Joe. I'm Y/N. Thank you for feeding my boy throughout his childhood, he never shut up about how he was gonna take me here," you say, extending your hand to the older man.

Joe's quick to grin and shake your hand. "It's nice to meet you too. Thanks for keeping Jiminie over here happy. Your engagement is the only thing I see on the news anymore."

"If you think that's bad, wait until the actual wedding happens. You'll see the photos and videos every day for probably two months straight," you say.

"Probably longer," he replies, Jimin laughing at his words.

You hum, warmly smiling. "Yeah, you're right."

"I hope my burgers pass the test! Enjoy, you two."

"Wait, how much do I owe you?" Jimin asks, but Joe shakes him off.

"On me. You and your brother were my most loyal customers, your brother still is! Not to mention I'm only in business now because your crew saved Earth."

Jimin chuckles. "Thank you, Joe. I mean it."

"You're always welcome, Mr. Park."

Even though Jimin already thanked him, you quickly thank him as well before heading over to one of the many tables set up around the area. Jimin smiles at you, you smiling back just as you sit down. There's several customers around, but you and him managed to take a table away from the others. The last thing you need is someone recognizing you and interrupting your date.

He hands you your plate, and you thank him, setting it in front of you. "The famous Papa Joe burger. Should I be worried?" you ask.

Jimin's eyes widen. "Wait, shit, I forgot something. Brb." You cringe at his use of the letters 'brb', watching as he bounces up to the truck again. Him and Joe talk for a few moments, then the man disappears to go grab something. Since you know Jimin wants it to be a surprise, you avert your gaze to the burger. Damn. That thing looks good. As much as you'd love to dig in already, you wait for your future husband.

After only a minute, he comes back, sitting down. You peek up in time for him to place a white cup in front of you, an orange straw poking out of the lid. "Uh, what's this?" you ask, amused at his excited state.

"Chocolate milkshake, duh! You can't have a burger without a milkshake!" You laugh, watching as he takes a sip of his and dramatically sighs. "See? Wonderful flavor."

"Thank you, babe," you reply, giving him a soft smile to show your appreciation.

He hums, cutely saluting. "Alright, now you have to try it."

"Min, I don't know. This is a lot of pressure, can I handle it?"

"If you can handle my di-"

"Okay, eating the burger now, got it," you interrupt, causing him to laugh. As soon as the squeaky sounds come out of his laugh, you giggle, bringing the burger to your lips. "I'm trusting you," you cheekily say, waggling your brows at him.

"Best decision of your life."

You laugh before taking a small bite, choosing not to overwhelm yourself at first. The flavor hits your tongue as you chew, noticing the burger is perfectly cooked and seasoned. Hm, pretty damn good. Maybe Jimin had a point. Maybe Papa Joe's is the best burger joint in the neighborhood. You swallow, then, take a sip from the milkshake. Oh man, the milkshake is wonderful too. Jimin's looking at you expectantly, so you pull away from the beverage and smack your lips.

"Hm..." You hum, pretending to think about it.

"You loved it," he says.

"Excuse me?"

"I see that teasing look in your eyes. You think I don't know my fiancée by now? It's been a year, my love. I know you're just trying to tease me."

You playfully scoff. "Am not."

"Really? Then what did you think?" You go quiet, causing him to slowly smirk. "Mhm. You forget I know all your little cracks, and I saw thirty-seven of them right there."

"Thirty-sev-"

"Thirty-seven. All of which screamed 'look at me, I'm Y/N L/N and I fell in love with Papa Joe's burgers'!"

"Min!" you say with a laugh, him joining you.

"Am I wrong?" he asks once the two of you dial down from your laughter.

"Well... no."

He chuckles. "See baby? I just know every last thing about you."

"Mhmm," you reply, playfully rolling your eyes.

He clears his throat, holding up his milkshake. "A toast?"

"With a milkshake?" you ask, raising a brow.

"Yes," he replies, completely serious. You giggle at his serious face, holding up your milkshake with him. "To us. This is the first year anniversary we have, but we'll have many, many more," he says, and you hum in agreement.

"Til' our dying breath, right?"

He smiles. "No, Jagi. Til' the end of time. Once this life is over, come find me in the next one, okay?"

"I will, Mochi. I promise." The two of you clink your cups together, taking a sip from it right after.

Jimin is known for never taking sips: it's always a chug. Whenever he has alcohol, he downs it in one go. With regular drinks, he has a tendency to do the same. This boy... what are you going to do with him? He keeps sipping, which makes you raise both your brows.

"Min, you'll get a brain freeze. You don't have much up there to begin with don't make it worse."

He sets the cup down, looking offended. "I'll have you know I'm very smart."

"What's forty-five times fifteen?" you ask.

Jimin blinks, pursing his lips in thought. "Okay so," he murmurs, mumbling little calculations to himself. Wait, is he taking this seriously? You were joking, you don't even know the answer. After a few seconds, he nods. "Six hundred seventy-five," he replies with a bright smile.

Your jaw drops. "I don't know the answer, I was mostly saying that to tease you." He smirks, pulling out his phone and punching the numbers into a calculator. Once he's done, his smirk only widens as he shows you that he was right. "What the fuck?!" you ask, staring at him with wide eyes.

"Oh yeah, I was the math wiz back in high school."

You groan. "Where were you when I was in school?"

"On Earth, sitting in the back of the class while dreaming of a dancing career," he says with hearts in his eyes.

You lean back in your chair. "You know, you could still do it."

He frowns. "After the coma, my coordination has never been the same."

Almost instantly, you shake your head. "That's nothing practice can't fix. We have all the time in the world, Mochi. We have money, time, and love, the three most important things in life."

"And alcohol."

"Well I think that fits in the 'money' category. Can't get alcohol without money, babe."

He snickers. "Alright, you're not wrong."

You let out a sigh. "I'm serious, Min. We have the three big things. We can go anywhere you want to go. See anything you want to see. We're free. For the first time in over a year, we're free."

"For the first time in our lives we're free."

Your eyes soften. "We can go anywhere you want, Chim..." He raises a single brow as you smile. "Where do you want to go first?"

~~~
"We have millions upon millions upon millions of dollars, and this is what you chose?"
Jimin laughs, bringing her over to the machines. "Oh come on, you can never go wrong with an arcade," he says.
"An arcade," she replies in disbelief, playfully rolling her eyes.
"I used to come here all the damn time as a kid, don't make fun of me!" At his pout, she softens.
"I'd never make fun of you for liking something. Probably."
"Hey!" She giggles as they go deeper into the busy arcade. "Jihyun and I would come here after eating at Papa Joe's, believe it or not."
"So this isn't just a coincidence?" she asks with a playful smile.
"Nope, not at all. There's only one reason why this place is so busy."
"And why's that?"
He brings her to the back, where a huge crowd is. "Okay, two reasons. One because robot fights are here."
"I'm sorry - robot fights?" she asks, peeking at him in confusion.
"All the tech students from BU come here to show off their mini robots in competitions, it's sort of a tradition that's been around for fifty years. As a BU student yourself, you'll have to get used to hearing about the competitions," he teases.
"Ah great," she mumbles. "What's the second reason?"
He points to a single machine surrounded by so many people. Countless people. "The last Donkey Kong machine in New York."
She's only more confused. "I'm sorry, Donkey Kong?"
"Oh my God, you've never heard of Donkey Kong? That's only like the most iconic game of all time!"
"I grew up on Ganymede," she says.
He chuckles. "I would show you, but I doubt we'll get past the line anytime today. Point is, this place is my childhood."
"It's beautiful, Mimi," she says, glancing around at all the fun colors, people, and machines.
"There's not too many arcades around anymore, but they're slowly making a comeback like shopping."
She raises a brow. "Shopping?"
"Yeah, around seventy years ago it turned pretty much all online. Everyone bought from home. Most stores went out of business, but the few who survived influenced the younger generations. They grew up and got more interested in physical shopping, and since then, it made a huge boom."
"History of Earth. Interesting," she whispers, still looking around at the machines. He brings her to a corner, stopping once they reach it. Of course, he places his hands on her hips, smiling like an idiot.
"I feel like a kid again."
"Min, no offense, but you're a kid in an adult body."
He giggles, pecking her forehead. "None taken. I'm just glad I get to show this to you."
She smiles back, placing a hand on his cheek. "I'm glad I get to see it. Everything you've shown me is always so cute and exciting." She pauses for a moment, pinching his chubby cheeks, making him whine. She can't help but laugh at his cuteness. "I love seeing that eye smile from you, Min. I love going to these places and seeing all your interests." Jimin watches as she comes closer, her nose practically on his. "I love seeing every side of you, so keep showing me, okay?" He instantly nods, closing the excruciating distance between them.
He sweetly kisses her, smiling against her lips that, as always, taste like vanilla. Her and her cute chapstick she wears. Adorable. When he pulls back to see her pretty face, she lights up. "Happy one year anniversary," she whispers. At her words, he can't help himself: he kisses her again. Jimin doesn't care they're in public. Why would he? This is a special moment, Jimin wants to cherish it.
She pulls back first this time, gazing at him with so much admiration he's taken aback for a moment. "Happy one year, babe. I can't wait for the two year," he murmurs.
"You're only saying that because we'll be married like right after."
He chuckles. "Okay, yeah, but still." Jimin takes a moment, looking right into her eyes. "I love you."
She keeps him close, nodding. "I love you too. Now come on, let me see how good your gaming skills are."
"Oh you're on!"
