"Everything is going to be alright," Lily Potter said softly to her two children. One of them was one year old while the other was just a newborn. But before she could finish her sentence, James Potter's voice interrupted her.

"Lily! Get the kids to safety-," he shouted urgently. Suddenly, a green light flashed followed by a thud. Lily knew she would be unable to save herself, but she tried to save the kids. She quickly hid the youngest child in a cabinet drawer, leaving only a small gap for the baby to breathe. However, before she could pick up her son, the door's hinges broke off, causing the door to crash down. She turned around quickly.

There stood a man, with black robes and missing a nose, holding a wand threateningly. "Hand them over, both of them...Move aside or your fate will be the same as your husband's." Lily let out a sob, but stood in front of the crib, trying to protect her son knowing there would be no use of it. The man let out a loud cackle...

She lay on the ground, dead.

The man walked in front of the boy while duel-wielding Lily's wand pointed at both the drawer and crib, yelling, "AVADA KEDAVRA." But the curse overpowered and blasted the room. The impact of the spell left 2 lightning scars on the last of the Potters. But the man was nowhere to be seen. Soon, a large man with a bushy beard landed in the house using a flying motorcycle picked up the boy, and went on his way. Leaving the newborn behind. Just then a man (with a rather large nose) burst through the door and ran to Lily, hugging her as he wept. Then he heard a rather strange sound, a baby's cry. He scanned the room and his eyes landed on the open drawer. Pulling it open, to see a newborn baby girl, with the most beautiful hazel eyes and copper hair, just like her mother's. He gently picked her up and apparated out of the house, before anyone saw him.

The following day:

"Sir, I found Lily and James' daughter tucked in a drawer," said Severus Snape, Lily's childhood friend, showing Albus Dumbledore- the headmaster of Hogwarts, school of Witchcraft and Wizardry- the newborn girl.

"Who knew they had another child, I must put her with a caring family, even a muggle family.

"But sir, can't she just stay with me?" Responded Snape.

"I sadly have to say no. As you are a professor here at Hogwarts, you do not have enough time for both your job and a child. And she cannot stay here at Hogwarts either." Snape nodded sadly, sad for both the child being taken away and the fact the love of his life just got murdered by a dark wizard. He could barely accept the fact that Lily, was dead.

Dumbledore first tried giving the baby to the Weasley family, who had to decline due to their current financial situation. He constantly tried giving the baby to multiple wizarding families, who all declined. Then Severus volunteered, once again, and Dumbledore reluctantly agreed. For 7 years, Severus raised, who is now named, Eliana Lily Potter until he had to return to his job at Hogwarts. Therefore, he had to give Eliana to a muggle family whom she would stay with until she became 11.
