"Hello...Tooth," I snarled between my teeth.
"Hello Pitch, how have you been?" She asked, her voice sharp and poisonous like the fangs of a viper.
I did not answer her, my eyes burning their golden yellow as her's became a deep black. She smirked, her heels clicking across the floor as she walked towards me. She swayed back and forth like snake, swaying her hips evilly as we now came face to face. Her black eyes scanned my face vigoursly, laughing once she found what she was looking for. She had became the definition of wicked.
"That girl has gotten to you," she hissed, pointing her slender finger towards me.
"She's making you soft. Oh Pitch, Pitch-"
"What do you want bitch!" I snapped.
"Ooooh, temper, temper." She wagged her finger in front of my face, mocking me. "We have a problem," she paused before she continued.
"Manny came to North's workshop."
"So?"
"He was looking for...Elsa," she slurred her name in a disgusting manner.
"So?! What do you want me to do about it!"
"Pitch, the council is looking for Elsa, this is no time to get mad at me! We can't let them find her, if they do the plan is ruined and I'll lose Jack! I'm not ready to let that happen!"
"So what are you going to do about it...Tooth?" I crossed my arms as my eyes narrowed at her.
"Simple...where's Elsa?"
"Why?"
"Becaus we have to kill her."
Every nerve in my body froze once my ears heard the horrid sentence that she spoke. My jaw becoming clench as my teeth grinding against one another. All my muscles became tense and stiff as my eyes burned, my hands gripping my arms painfully tight.
"What?" My voice had became dark and stern.
"We have to kill her, it's the only way we can make-KA!"
Her sentences died out as my hand had cut her short. My fingers wrapping around her slender neck as I had lifted her off the ground. She kicked at the air, gasping for air as she tried to pry off the hand that was slowly cutting off her air way. Coughs of suffocation escaped her throat in a pitiful attempt to breath.
"If you lay even a finger on her...I swear to God I will kill you in the most painful way possible. Tearing you slowly limb from limb, making you live so you can fill every break of your bones and tear of your muscle before I finally rip your heart out! DO YOU UNDERSTAND!"
She nodded quickly, the face of pure fear in her eyes. I dropped her, letting her fall on the floor in a big thud as she coughed with each breath. Her trembling body quivering at my feet as her eyes slowly and timidly met mine once more. Purple...her eyes were the shade of...purple.
"And remember Tooth...," I paused as she continued to stare at me with her timid eyes. My eyes were burning, their golden yellow piercing her soul as my power formed around my body. The black like sand forming around me like smoke as it's dark energy cascaded my body in a beautiful swooping motion. The atmosphere became dense and thin as the surge of my power spread through the air, making Tooth turn pale with fear as she shuddered away from me. But what she didn't know was...that this was only a very small portion of my power.
"...they don't call me the king of nightmares for no reason. You...are NOTHING compared to me," I smirked at her, sounding like the demon the council created me to be.
"NOW GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!" I barked and she flew like a bat out of Hell.
Out of my Hell.
❄ Elsa's P.O.V ❄
I don't know why Celest took me to this town or why she's so infatuated with it. She simple wouldn't take me anywhere else until I entered. I told her stay in the woods so she wouldn't scare the people, telling her to remain miles away. I had entered this town alone, when I should have been more cautious. The truth is I haven't seen so many people at one place, letting my sense of curiosity overcome my sense of danger. I should have been more careful, more aware of my surroundings, more alert as I had walked through the gates of...Arendelle.
My heels clicked against the hard stone of the streets. The cold air was filled with children's laughter as owners of small shops yelled to get people to come to their store. Despite the cold, husbands still went to their day jobs and kids to played outside in the snow as mothers slaved away in the house. The day had became darker than it was early morning, it will only be a few hours before the sun will set. Painting the sky in it's vibrant colors of red and orange as tints of purple and yellow peeked through, adding to the beauty. My eyes were taking in the scenario, scoping the large town square where the most activity was done. The noise filling my ears, telling me that the town was alive and kicking. But as my eyes continued to wander, as I continued to listen...I couldn't help but feel a sense of deja vu'.
As if I had been here before. As if I was-
My thought was cut short as my eyes landed on it. Built out of grey stone, it rose out of the ground with all it's glory. Polished and taken care off as it's rigid edges remain stiff and unbreaking. I walked up to it, my hand brushing against the cold stone as it soon felt a variation of words engraved into the stone. Two figures, each on the same pedestal of stone as they stood side by side, their arms wrapping around one another. The light shined upon their soft carved faces as they look down upon me, their faces holding more life than death. I stared into their eyes, their eyes made out of the dull stone as an emotion over came me. Dull eyes, eyes...that had looked at me before. The words that were engraved into to the stone said...
In memory of the King & Queen of Arendelle. May they watch their children from Heaven.
An unknown emotion compelled me. Making my chest feel heavy as I continued to upon the king and Queen of Arendelle. As I continued to look upon their lifeless statues as I try my best to wrap myself in comfort, I couldn't help but think...who are you to me? A tear began to roll down my cheek, my throat tense as I inhaled deeply. Why...why am I crying? What is going on with me! Why do I feel so sad?! Who are these people? Who-
Conceal, don't feel.
"What?" I whispered in shock.
"DEMON!"
My head snapped to where the voice that spoke "Demon" came from. It was a man in his thirties, his pale finger pointing to me from across the square. A mob of people with pitch forks and torches were behind him, their eyes all pointed at me.
"See I told you I saw a Demon pass through the streets! Hair as black as the darkest night, dark eyes as red as freshly spilt blood!"
"He speaks the truth, look at her eyes!" Another man spoke.
"Kill her!" A woman screeched.
"We must not let her hurt the children!" A mother hissed.
"Burn her!" The blacksmith preached.
"KILL THE DEMON, BURN THE EVIL BEING!" They all chanted as they ran towards me. Raising their pitch forks in rage as they lifted their torches in anger. They were running and they were coming after me.
"Please let me explain," I pleaded, taking a few steps back as I put my hands up in surrender.
"BURN HER!" A man scream, ignoring my pleads. The mob only 10 feet away.
"Let me explain! I'm not what you think-"
"KILL HER!"
I turned, about to run away when I was met with another mob. The mob blocked me from escape as the other came after me. I was cornered, my back pressed against the cold stone. There was no where I could turn! I was cornered as the mobs engulfed me in their rage and hate. Screams of hate and rage filled my ears as their mass surrounded me. Pointing their pitchforks at me, trapping me against the statue. The heat of their fires filling the air with suffocating smoke as they thrashed their torches towards me. I didn't want to use my powers, I didn't want to hurt anybody, but I didn't want to die either! Memories of big brother and Kaname flashed through my mind, tears streamed down my face as their voices filled my ears. I don't want to die! I don't want to leave them like this! I don't want to die! I don't want to use my powers to hurt these people! I don't want to be a monster!
SOMEONE HELP ME!
The riot died as another noise came into my ears. A stallion as black as night stood between me and the mob. Rearing up on it's hind legs as he kicked his front legs towards the mob, thrashing his head as horrifying neighs escaped his throat. His black mane shining in the sunlight as he commanded the people back, making them dodge as he threatened them with his ebony hooves. Landing on all fours as he continued to whine and grunt, bucking and kicking at the crowd with rage. It was at that precise moment that I had noticed the color of his eyes.
Emerald green eyes, a shade of green I would know anywhere.
Without hesitation I hopped onto his back, grabbing onto his mane in effort to grab his attention. The stallion's ears perked up with acknowledgement, making him cease from his rage as he waited for my command.
"Run Kaname! Run!" I pleaded.
He reared up on his hind legs once more in effort to keep the crowd at bay. His hooves slamming against the cobblestone before he switched into a gallop. Towns people ran out of the way of the stallion in effort of not being crushed. I wrapped my arms around his neck, hearing his breath become heavy as his black mane brush against my face in the wind. Buildings passed us in a fade as we gradually made our way out of the town in a hurry. I turned around, watching as the town of Arendelle fade in the distance, entering the dark woods where monsters like us...
Come to hide.
❄
I took Celest's head in my hands pressing her forehead against mine. My body still shaken from the recent event that happened in Arendelle. The word Demon still fresh in my mind. Celest nudged my forehead in effort to comfort me. She was regretting that she ever took me to Arendlle, but I didn't blame her, I didn't blame anybody. I could feel Kaname's eyes watching us carefully, standing behind me as his black hooves were buried in the snow. We were secluded deep in the woods, hidden from towns, hidden from people, hidden from prying eyes who dare search for our secrets. We were safe in the woods, we felt safe in our hiding place of trees and snow, monster- no! Not monsters...outcasts.
Outcasts were safe in the woods.
"Celest I'll be fine. Don't worry alright," I cooed softly.
At first she hesitated to answer, but after a moment she soon nodded. I smiled with relief.
"Good, now go. Kaname will take me home. I'll call you when I need you."
She growled in confirmation, nodding her head before she nuzzled my face in good bye.
"Hehe, goodbye Celest. I'll see you soon."
She growled softly with joy, taking a step back as she watched me. Her eyes never glancing away from my own as she backed away from me. She looked as if she was almost...smiling, she spread her wings, stretching them before she took flight. Then, in one swoop, she was off the ground and into the sky. I watched her as she mangled through the clouds and danced in the wind, dragons were truly made for the sky, I thought as I watched Celest fade away in the distance. It was silent as my eyes casted down from the sky to the earth, my chest becoming heavy once more.
"You should really be more careful Mistress." A dark and warm voice spoke from behind me.
"I know, it...it won't happen ever again," I tried my best to keep my voice steady, but I ended up failing miserably.
"Elsa," he spoke with concern.
I did not answer as I could still feel his eyes plastered to my back.
"Elsa look at me," Kaname's dark voice became soft to the touch.
I turned to him, my cheeks painted with tears as my face held a hurtful expression. Kaname...now looked upon me in his human form. He was tall with a well toned body, his long legs were covered with black pants as his arms and torso were covered up with black shirt and a black hoody. His black bangs almost hiding his vibrant green eyes, his fair skin was almost as pale as the snow. I had to admit it...he was beautiful. His vibrant green eyes looked upon me with concern as her scanned my pain stricken state of mind. He exhaled, watching the way my tears fell from my red eyes, watching the way I sobbed, the way my heart ache. He watched and he...understood. He extended his arms and he spoke just one word...
"Come," his voice cooed and that was all I needed to hear.
I ran into his arms, my tears continuing to paint my face as I ran into his strong warm chest. He wrapped his arms around me tightly in comfort as I clutched the back of his jacket. I sobbed into his chest, waning and whining like a little child. The pain was overwhelming as their faces full of hate filled my mind, their screams filling my ears. I sobbed more, clutching Kaname's jacket tightly as my body began to tremble. Kaname's strong arms tighten around me to keep me from trembling as one of his hands untied my hair from my braid. Letting my black hair drape my shoulders as rebellious strands flowed in the small wind. His large protective hand stroked my hair as he ran his fingers through it gently.
"I know, I know," He cooed in my ear.
I buried my face more in his chest, wanting more of his comfort.
"Don't listen to them Elsa. You are not a Demon or a Monster, you're beautiful and special to me, to Pitch. We care about you and if anything would have happened to you...we...we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves. Forget what you heard, forget what you saw, forget everything that happened in that village. Forget and don't regret so you can live your life happily. Forget," He begged as he brought my body closer to his. He felt unbelievably warm compared to the cold air that surrounded us.
We stood there, just like that, for a while. My sobbing and crying began to fade away the more Kaname stroked my hair, running his elegant fingers through the black strands. His strong arms holding me with every fiber in his body, letting me know that he was here...that he will always be here. His warm voice was whispering sweet nothings in my ear, trying his best to keep my mind distracted or to keep me calm. Once again...I find it strange...I find it strange how I could feel so safe, so calm in this man's arms...it's the same way when I'm in Pitch's arms as well. I would protect these boys, I would die for these boys, after all...they're all the family I got left.
"Come on," Kaname whispered softly in my ear. Cutting my thinking off as he picked me up bridal style. My arms wrapped around his neck so I wouldn't fall allowing my red eyes to stare deeply into his green ones. The corner of his lips perked up into a smile, a smile that I had never seen before. He placed his forehead against mine and chuckled, keeping that smile plastered in place.
"Let's get you home," He cooed.
❄ Pitch's P.O.V ❄
It was silent as I slowly began to calm down allowing my power to absorb back into my body. I waited for Tooth's aura to disappear from the room before I decided to teleport Saraphine from inside the globe. I sighed as my back continued to face the door, not daring to look at the globe...to look at her. I looked down allowing my bangs to hide my eyes as I snapped my fingers together, a tornado of black smoke formed behind me. The smoke soon began to vanish as Saraphine now stood behind me, her body still as I could feel her eyes on me. Eyes that were probably wide with shock. I let it be silent for a moment or two, allowing herself time to calm down before I ask my questions.
"Is that...confirmation enough for you? Do you...do you believe me now?" I questioned.
There was a slight pause before she spoke, taking a step forward as she regained her confidence. I did not dare to turn and speak to her face to face.
"I believed you when you first told me." She admitted happily.
My eyes went wide with shock as every muscle of my body tightened. She...she already believed me?
"But yes...that was confirmation enough," she spoke softly, timidly.
"Are...you afraid of me Saraphine? Is my little Birdie...afraid of the Black Nightmare?"
It was silent as she said nothing. It...must be true then...she must be afraid of me. She must be terrified of me or...worst...she must hate me. She doesn't want to speak to me ever again, she probably thinks I'm a monster...a demon...a freak...a complete nightmare! Will...I ever be more than a monster, will I ever be able to escape the role of the villain, the beast! Will these dark chains that they casted upon my body ever break!? Or will they drag me more into the dark abyss I am trying so hard to climb out from!? Someone tell me! Who am-
My thinking was cut short as chills went down my spine. Two slim pale arms wrapped around my waist tightly, her head pressed against the middle of my back. I could feel the rising of her chest with every breath she took. The smell of her, Saraphine's scent engulfed my body with it's beautiful fragrance. I missed her hold...I missed holding her.
"I was never afraid of you Pitch, never," she cooed softly. Her arms tightening around my waists as my breath hitched from her words. I could feel the heaviness that was starting to build, starting to fade away from my chest. I placed my hands upon her's, stroking my thumb in circles acrossed her soft skin. Making her own breath hitch at my touch.
"And don't you remember Pitch...I...I always called you my Nightingale," her voice began to break as I could feel her tears fall upon the back of my shirt.
"Saraphine," I spoke in a shocked whispered.
"I...I want to see her," she requested...trying to regain her composure.
"Hm?" I questioned, trying to give her a little more time to calm herself.
"I want to see Elsa, can I...*sniffles* can I see her?"
I smiled softly, "of course you can. The moment she's here I let you see her right away."
She nodded nuzzle herself more into my back. My heart skipped a beat as I closed my eyes, enjoying the feel of her embrace.
"You..." she paused and I slowly let my eyes open.
"You care alot about her, don't you?"
"Yes...I care for her as if she was my own sister."
"I......I never seen you care for someone so much," she said a bit disappointed.
"Yes you have," I spoke sweetly.
"When?" She questioned as she picked her head from my back. I grabbed her hands, prying her arms from around my waist as I turned around to face her. Her bright purple eyes looked at me with curiosity and confusion. I smiled as my right hand grabbed her hand gently, placing my left hand gently on her cheek. She stared into my golden yellow eyes as I stared into her beautiful purple ones deeply. Her cheeks turning into a light shade of pink.
"Whenever I look at you...you see me care for the person I care for the most."
I whispered as I placed my lips upon her forehead.
