I wake up all burritoed in a blanket. I sit up. I get dressed and marched downstairs. I grabbed a trash bag and a laundry basket. I begin to clean. I'm about half way done when Toby walks in.
"What got you in the cleaning mood?" He asks.
"How dirty this place is."
He holds out a sandwich.
"Hungry?"
"Yeah." We sit and eat sandwiches on his bed. He pulls out a rose and tucks it behind my ear.
"Let me finish." He says.
I watching him finish cleaning while I lay on the bed. When he finishes, he leans over and kisses me.
"I did it. I finally cleaned my room."
"What!? I did all the hard work!"
He laughs and takes a sniff of the rose.
"I love you almost as much as I love waffles."
I kiss him passionately.
"Never mind. More."
We go downstairs hand in hand. Dreams waves us over.
"Me and Jeff are about to watch a horror movie. Come watch it with us."
He sits on the sofa. I crawl into his lap. I swear I feel him jump twice. The wedding's tomorrow. Toby is best man and I'm maid of honor. We all have our dresses and suits. I can't wait.
