Chapter 13 (Part 4)

As a grand white door with a golden doorknob swings open with a gentle creak, Oliver steps inside with Sophia and a maid. Exquisite peach damask paints the walls, intricately patterned with delicate floral designs. Above, the white wooden ceiling boasts miniature chandeliers, casting a soft, warm glow throughout the space.

A charming sitting table stands gracefully on the side of the room, accompanied by two chairs and a porcelain vase. Across from it, a tall wardrobe commands attention, flanked by a desk and a vanity mirror. A plush, circular rug in pristine white lays on the floor, inviting one to sink their feet into its fluffy embrace. And at the far end of the room, a slim bed with crisp linens and two plump pillows waits for its fortunate occupant.

"Welcome to your bedroom, Sophia!" Oliver beamed.

Sophia's eyes widened as she bounced. "Oh, my goodness! It's truly stunning!"

"Well, you deserve nothing less," Oliver said, standing beside Sophia.

"Oh, please! Don't try to sweet-talk me," Sophia rolled her eyes, slightly giggling. "But, my! This room is pretty! Honest!"

"You're prettier," Oliver smirked as he touched Sophia's hand, locking his fingers with hers.

Sophia giggled, gently snatching her hand away from Oliver's grip. "Don't try me, boy." Sophia grabbed her suitcase and grinned as she hurried to the bed while her maid followed.

Another door swings open. Oliver steps inside with Edgar as a maid follows them on their back. Oliver's gaze sweeps across the room, seeing the walls with a delicate grey hue and white vertical lines. Between the doorway are two flourishing snake plants, towering like graceful sentinels.

A round wooden table with three carved chairs in the centre of the room greets visitors as they enter. On the right side of the room, cabinets stand tall, housing an assortment of books and delicate flower pots. Meanwhile, a bed with a mix of black and white shades and ornate patterns rests at the room's far end.

"Oh, wow..." Edgar huffed, glancing at every corner.

"Impressive, isn't it?" Oliver grinned.

"Yeah, it's breathtaking..." Edgar's jaw dropped as he stared at the room. "...Wow."

Another door swings open. Oliver steps into another room as Sarrah and a maid trail behind him. Unable to contain her surprise, Sarrah's half-closed eyes widen as she enters the space.

"Woah," she expressed in awe.

The room mirrors Sarrah's attire, complementing her style. Bright beige wood makes up the flooring and walls. Delicate uplight chandeliers radiate the white ceiling with a soft glow. On the left side of the room, a vanity desk with an elegant mirror provides a place for Sarrah to pamper herself. On the right side, empty cabinets await her outfits, ready to store them neatly.

"The bedroom's colour palette matches my outfit," Sarrah gazed around.

"That's why I chose this room specifically for you," Oliver smiled as he crossed his arms.

"Beth was right. You and your father are so nice," Sarrah gawked at the bedroom.

Another door opens, and Oliver steps through with his arms resting on his waist. Behind him, Bethany follows. Entering the bedroom, Bethany feels heavy as astonishment brings her a hint of dizziness, overwhelmed by the room's beauty.

"This was my dream room," Bethany gasped as she covered her mouth.

"Well, it's your real room now," Oliver grinned.

A serene ambience bathes the room, thanks to its white minimalistic paint with elegant gold linings. The smooth wood planks on the floors shine like daylight under the candlelight. Delicate vases, brimming with lush greenery, graced the area beside the doorway, infusing a touch of nature into the room.

The bed beckons with its allure in the centre of the back wall. A plush white pillow, delicately arranged, rests atop the luxurious gold bedsheets. A soft white blanket completes the ensemble, promising warmth and comfort during moments of rest.

As another door slowly swings open, it creates a pathway for Oliver, Gregory, and a maid to enter the bedroom. Wonder sparkles in their eyes as they step inside. Oliver then halts and smirks at Gregory, placing his elbow on his shoulder.

"You like it?" Oliver asked.

"Woah, yeah!" Gregory replied, grinning as he looked around.

The bedroom's walls shine warmly, reminiscent of an orange peel. At the bottom, rich wooden panellings as dark as chocolate glisten under the soft glow of the miniature chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. A spacious arched window around the room showcases the night sky full of fireworks. Slowly, gentle raindrops tap against the glass, gradually fading the once-glistening firework in the sky.

On the right side of the room, a bed that can hold two people waits. Its hot orange bedsheets and dark brown pillows add a vibrant contrast to the surface. Between the bed are two nightstands with candelabras and delicate vases of flowers.

Oliver and Gregory stood on an intricately designed orange rug. To their right, a dark brown wardrobe crafted from mahogany wood presented itself as a striking piece of furniture. On their left, the window remained still, allowing them to witness the outdoors as the rain poured from the heavens.

"Oh, listen to the rain pouring outside," Gregory gasped, surprised by the downpour. He approached the window, pressing his head against the cool glass to peer outside.

Oliver trailed behind. "You like the view?"

"The view from here is amazing," Gregory thought as he looked down at the garden obscured by the rain and darkness below.

Oliver's eyes twinkled as he leaned closer to the window. "Just wait until dawn. The chilly air and the beauty of the surroundings will take your breath away," Oliver said.

"Can't wait to see it," Gregory said. He then glanced at his friend and touched his shoulder. "Oh, and uh... Oli?"

"Hm?" he responded.

"...It's been over a year and a few months since we first met," Gregory stated. "But it feels like we've known each other for decades."

"Time certainly flies fast," Oliver replied.

"Yeah," Gregory continued. "And... we've shared so many unforgettable moments."

Oliver's eyes shimmered in the moonlight before the dark clouds swallowed the moon. "...I'm sure we'll create more as we now live under the same roof."

Gregory's voice grew softer as he spoke from the heart. "Thank you, Oliver, for being such an incredible friend," he then hugged Oliver.

Oliver embraced Gregory, holding him tightly. He deeply exhaled as a calm smile graced his lips. "And thank you, Gregory, for always keeping your promise to stand by my side..."
