The race begins with 12 pairs from 4 worlds; Mao Mao Heroes of Pure Heart, Steven Universe, OK KO Let's Be Heroes, and Pokemon. They are:

1. Mao Mao and Adorabat

2. Steven Universe and Amethyst

3. Pearl and Garnet

4. Lillie and Mamane

5. Tanya and Spinel

6. Kasumi and Takeshi

7. Irisu and Dento

The next 5 contain OCs from an amazing person called venusaura, who originally made them for Mao Mao, and myself. They are:

1. Night and King Snugglemagne

2. Cyber and Badgerclops

3.Chill and Yuki

4. KO and Tebby

5. Satoshi and Summer

This race is hosted by Lord Chaos and the Law of Cycles, Kaname Madoka, giving a prize of one wish for each of the winners, and goes all over the multiverse in an attempt to win and outwit the other teams.

The first team to be eliminated was Tebby and KO, losing to Kasumi and Takeshi by a few minutes. Admittedly, they had been a bit disappointed, but accepted it well. Tebby herself had it harder since she was living in the Mao Mao world; the venue of the first leg.

Thankfully, the next leg was not as hard, or so they thought. Racing to the Monster Farm world, they were tasked with fighting and taming some monsters there to get to the Pit Stop first. Ultimately, Irisu and Dento fell behind due to the monsters' aggressive nature being beyond their expectations, which disheartened them at first. However, Sakura Genki, the protagonist of that world, encouraged them to keep going, which allowed them to accept it.

It was during the third leg to the Scooby Doo world that the tension thickened. Steven and Amethyst, feeling a bit distrustful of Tanya due to her idea to U-turn them, managed to pull ahead thanks to some quick thinking, which in turn annoyed Tanya a lot. Poor Lillie and Mamane were eliminated because of this tension, which got Kasumi, Takeshi and Satoshi's attention, and they all agreed to not have this kind of tension.

In between this leg, the nine pairs were given a day off since it was Christmas, so they had some fun together, strengthening their relationships and bonding, especially Cyber and Badgerclops, who ended up confessing to each other in this world.

The next day, they set off for the Youkai Watch realm, where they had to fight some Boss Youkai and interact with a lot of people. Things got tougher as Spinel and Tanya got into fights a lot due to Tanya's brash attitude. What used to be a good pair fell out because of the bounty hunter's actions, ultimately resulting with their elimination. 

This evidently released some of the tension, proven in the 5th leg as they headed to the Ben 10 Omniverse world to help some aliens and stop some bad guys in the process. This leg was Night and Snugglemagne's leg, which pleased them to no end. Thankfully, Pearl and Garnet were not eliminated, since it was a non-eliminating leg.

The 6th leg took place in the Digimon multiverse, where they had to teleport between the seasons to get items they were tasked with getting. The hard part came with convincing them to let them take their Digivices, which was definitely not Mao Mao's strong suit, shown when he and Adorabat got last place.

The 7th leg saw a drastic shift in position; Satoshi and Summer somehow managed to gain a lead and got second place after being in the middle tier for so long. This evidently ticked Pearl off, getting first place just a few seconds before they had arrived, since she didn't want Summer to win. It was while they were waiting that Summer's motive for this game was revealed; so she could find someone to love her adoptive father. She admitted that she was never truly taught how to be a good kid, but after meeting Satoshi, she started to understand and wanted to be like him. Satoshi, feeling a bit touched, had to tell her that he was dating Tomoki, but said that it didn't matter, because he already saw her as a sister. This softened her heart enough to hug him in tears.

The next leg was even tougher. From the Magiswords world, they had to rush to the Bakugan one and use their powers to fight. This leg saw Mao Mao and Adorabat as the victors, with Steven and Amethyst in second and Cyber and Badgerclops in third. Night and Snugglemagne were fourth, which clearly displeased them, but they accepted it well.

Their next destination was the Yu-Gi-Oh world, filled with mysteries and puzzles and sand. (Yep, you read that right. Sand.) Once again, Cyber and Badgerclops reigned supreme in this leg, with Summer and Satoshi right behind them alongside Chill and Yuki. Unfortunately, this was an elimination leg. Thus they saw the end of Kasumi and Takeshi, who lagged behind due to a U-turn by Night and Snugglemagne.

This left 7 teams to race to the Gargoyles world, where they befriended gargoyles and helped solve cases all over Manhattan. Surprisingly, Chill and Yuki made it to first place, shortly followed by Cyber and Badgerclops plus Steven and Amethyst. However, Pearl's motive was soon revealed; to bring Rose Quartz back.

This in turn caused more tension between the two, which got Garnet injured during a U-turn challenge. Pearl was regretful for this, but she chose to move on and continue racing for both of them. 

However, Garnet secretly managed to contact Cyber and Badgerclops to tell them this, begging them to stop her from making it come true. When asked why she chose them, she admitted that they were a strong team and didn't have much of a connection to her, so she wouldn't be burdening them. Plus, they had more motive to win the race. Touched, they thank her and promise to get Pearl eliminated.

The next leg was in the OK KO world, trying to get to the Pit Stop in the middle of chaos from a bunch of monsters looking to destroy the peace. Of course, Mao Mao and Steven's teams both got in the top three with Satoshi and Summer, or SatoMer, as they were known for now. Poor Chill and Yuki were eliminated though, since Pearl tricked them to buy more time. They texted Night to tell her this, which infuriated her.

The next leg was a Pokemon one. Teams had to use strategy and strength to win this leg; one that Satoshi and Summer excelled in, which gave them first place once more. However, being a non-elimination leg, Pearl managed to slip in between the cracks.

After that, they went to the Winx Club world, learning to make potions and cast spells. However, this leg caused Mao Mao and Adorabat a place in the top 5, being horrible at instructions. This leg also gave birth to the Cyber-Night alliance to bring Pearl down.

Heading to the SU world, Cyber-Night races against time to get to first place in order to block Pearl from her goal. SatoMer and Steven-Amethyst, oblivious to this, get ahead and end up in the top 2, followed by Pearl and Cyber. Unfortunately, Night and Snugglemagne were a little too late, and thus were eliminated. Before she left, Cyber swore to bring Pearl down, which Night approved of.

Leg 15 took place in Cuphead, where they had to work with a lot of cups. This gave poor Summer a headache, but Satoshi encouraged her to keep on going. While they got 3rd place, Summer didn't mind. She actually liked spending time with Satoshi, which her adoptive father found amusing when she called him that night, telling him all about Satoshi. The Pokemon trainer was flustered, but Summer just told him that she really looked at him as her brother.

They then traveled to a world of heroes, the My Hero Academia world, where they found themselves in hot soup (quite literally). Steven and Amethyst managed to pull through, though, and got first place. This caused Pearl to finally get eliminated thanks to Cyber and Badgerclops, which relieved everyone.

With 3 teams left, they headed to Sonic's world, facing obstacle courses like no other. Steven and Amethyst were happy to gain 2nd place in the race, while Cyber and Badgerclops gained first place. Summer was a bit down because of this, but Satoshi encouraged her once more to keep going.

After that, they went to the Sailor Moom world, cosplaying in a fashion show in order to win. Since Summer was still a kid, she had no problem with being a model, and thus got the two of them yet another first place. Amethyst and Steven got second, and Cyber and Badgerclops got last place.

The second-last leg involved a lot of coin-gathering and jumping and fighting. The teams had to use their wits to win this game, but only 2 could pass it. The losing team ended up being Satoshi and Summer, because they had gotten lost. But they weren't disheartened, because Satoshi got another friend and Summer found someone she could call her brother.

Finally, the last leg took place in the realm of Chaos. From the Borrowed Actor House to the Fate Changer Control Room, the two pairs went through various problems together to reach the final Pit Stop.

They were head to head.

But Cyber and Badgerclops won in the end.

Everyone congratulated them, and when Chaos asked for their wishes, Badgerclops wished for them to be together.

And Cyber?

He wished for the Sweetiepies to accept him.

For he had changed his wish.

And accepted himself.

Thus, the Amazing Race Across the Multiverse ended.
