Hermey

Lights twinkled and jingle bells jingled. The smell of peppermint and gingerbread hung in the air. Hermey took a big whiff and grinned as he crunched through the snow.

He was home. He had been away from the North Pole, traveling all over the world. This was going to be his first Christmas back at home in seven years.

Though his successful career in dentistry was what made Hermey the happiest, he missed home sometimes. And his fellow elves, though they had once shunned him for his career choice. At least he wasn't a stripper, even though he could twerk like nobody's business. He also missed Yukon Cornelius, Santa Claus, and Bumble.

But most of all, he missed... Rudolph.

Rudolph was the reason Hermey could be a dentist at all, and Hermey always had a huge crush on Rudolph since he guided Santa's sleigh that fateful night.

Hermey wondered if Rudolph would like for them to catch up.

But Rudolph would be too busy being the "most famous reindeer of all" to pay Hermey any attention. Rudolph probably didn't even remember Hermey's name.

Hermey sighed deeply as he reached his family's cottage. Christmas lights of all colors were strung to the edge of the snow-colored roof, and it had been decorated with candy pieces. It was beautiful.

He ducked inside, only to be greeted by loud cheers of, "SURPRISE!"

Hermey gave a happy gasp as he saw all of his friends: Bumble, Yukon Cornelius, Clarice, and evening Santa!

But... but no Rudolph.

Hermey put on a happy face as he greeted his friends and family. Cheery music pumped on the radio, and there was a table of food and tooth brushes and tooth paste- his favorites!

Hermey could tell that it was going to be a long party and a long night, so he braced himself for all of the festivities.

An hour or two passed. Hermey was tired and wasn't expecting anyone else to show up.

But then... Rudolph came in through the doors, his nose shining. His antlers had gotten longer and his firm had gotten more muscular since Hermey had last seen him.

Hermey gasped, his heart beginning to beat quickly.

"Hey, Hermey," Rudoph said as he sauntered sexily into the room. "Did ya miss me?"

Rudolph

Life as a rockstar and Santa's top reindeer was the best.

Until Clarice dumped him and called him a jerk, at least.

But tonight, Rudolph was going to get back at her, and get her back.

He knew she had been invited to the surprise party for Hermey. He had been, too. But he was famous now, and Hermey... Hermey was doing wonderful work as a dentist.

Rudolph decided to go in for a few minutes, just to say hi to Hermey and lead Clarice on, but when he went in through that door and saw Hermey...

Rudolph's heart was stolen right out of his own hooves.

Hermey's blond hair had turned golden. Even though elves didn't get very tall, Hermey was pretty tall for an elf and very pretty, too. Rudolph bit back from licking his lips when he saw him.

"Hey, Hermey," Rudolph said, using his best smolder. "Miss me?"

Hermey's cheeks went a bit pink. "Did you miss me?"

Santa walked up to Hermey and Rudolph. "I hate to interrupt you two, but the Head Elf has fallen sick, and he won't be able to direct the Christmas party. Could you two put it all together?"

Rudolph thought for a moment. Get to spend time with an old friend and be able to get Clarice back? Heck yes.

He grinned. "I'd be honored, sir!"

Santa turned to Hermey. "What about you?"

"I'll do it!" Hermey said.

"Hooray!" the other elves cheered.
