Pound It (Part One)

"Please welcome Mr and Mrs Agreste."

Marinette and Adrien entered the venue to the sounds of cheers and congratulations. They'd done it. LadyNoir was finally married, and Adrienette was finally official. They smiled and greeted all their friends, Adrien confused that he hadn't guessed any of them sooner, after all, who else would Marinette have given such powerful items too.

Completely lost in thought, Adrien missed the mass of confetti being thrown in his face, taking a mouthful of the brightly coloured tissue paper into its depths. As he began to sputter and spit the tiny pieces of paper out of his mouth as his wife, yes his wife, giggled next to him. She reached over to him and helped remove a couple of pieces from his lips.

"There you go, husband." Marinette smiled brightly at him, stroking her thumb across his lower lip.

"Thank you, Wife."

He bent his head down and puckered his lips ready to kiss her, when a shrill giggle seemed to get closer. Marinette pulled away and looked into Adrien's eyes before turning to communicate with the little feral creature.

"Throw any more, Plagg, and you'll be back on the cheddar." The black cat-like creature flew away and Marinette pulled Adrien back down for a kiss, this time with no kwami to interrupt. Clapping and cheering sounded up again, and Marinette could see phones held aloft, and pictures being taken. It should be illegal to be this happy.

Once their entrance was complete and they made their way to the top table, along with Tom and Sabine, Alya and Nino, they placed down her bouquet's and Adrien's jacket before socialising with their guests. To say Adrien was shocked seeing the majority of their college class would be an understatement, yet there was something so warming to know all their closest friends were there alongside them, not only for the wedding but in battle too.

Marinette kissed her husband on the cheek, promising she'd be back soon, and ran over towards where the girls were sitting. Loud squealing sounds could be heard as they enveloped her into a hug.

"I'm married to Adrien Agreste." Marinette announced, encouraging more screaming from the girls and another round of hugs.

Adrien couldn't help but stand and smile. Seeing her so happy made his own happiness skyrocket. As he looked at the overly excited girls, he was glad they'd revealed a week ago. There was no way he could have handled the reveal along with her looking so beautiful, he was most certain he would have fainted. Instead his only response was to cry like a newborn baby. A waiter passed with a tray of champagne, offering one to the groom. He took the glass, never taking his eyes off his bride.

"I knew I never stood a chance. You two are truly made for each other."

Kagami had approached Adrien from behind. He turned slowly and saw a sparkle in her eyes he'd never seen there before. It was almost as if she was going to cry.

"Hey Kagami," Adrien enveloped the girl into a hug, before placing a quick kiss on both cheeks.

"The service was beautiful, Adrien, you truly outdid yourself, and Marinette looks perfect."

He smiled at the girl in front of him.

"She does, doesn't she?"

"I never thought I could be this happy for anyone other than myself, but I am just overwhelmed by the emotion I'm feeling."

Kagami was a big part of Adrien and Marinette's life, even after all these years and their past history. After Nino and Alya, Kagami was always the next one to call, whether it was for a chat or just to hang out. He was desperate for his friend to feel the same way he did about Marinette. She deserved so much happiness.

"Thank you, that means a lot." He said, smiling at his first girlfriend.

"So, you're Chat Noir?"

"I am indeed."

She shook her head still in disbelief. Until recently, Kagami didn't even know Adrien Agreste could make jokes. The whole idea of them being the same blew her mind, she could only imagine how Marinette felt.

"And she was the girl the rose was for? She, as in Ladybug, not Marinette."

Adrien blushed and scratched the back of his neck.

"Yeah, it was."

She nodded at him and then smiled.

"I told Marinette, the day of the swimming pool incident, you two were perfect for each other. I don't think I quite understood how much though. I'm so happy for you both, you two deserve the world."

"Thank you." He took her into his arms for one more hug before she pulled away and headed over to the other girls. He watched as Marinette pulled her into a hug and they both looked back at Adrien with a smile.

He raised his glass of champagne and both girls laughed, before he headed off in search of the guys.

"I'm shocked, I tell you, shocked!" Kim was the first to speak as Adrien approached, slaps on the back greeted him with affection and disbelief. He laughed at Kim as he greeted his friends.

"You're shocked? I had no idea you were all heroes either," he said.

"She never told you?" Nathaniel asked, shocked by Adrien's statement.

"Nope, I only knew Nino. Then I found out Alya's after the broken leg incident, and Marinette's last week. It got to a point where we were pretty certain we knew who the other was, so we just went for it."

"I bet you did," Nino said, wiggling his eyebrows. The guys laughed and continued the conversations. It seemed they were more surprised by Adrien being Chat Noir, then they were for him marrying Marinette. Apparently they'd all been waiting for them to get together, who knew?

He looked over to his wife again, she was now showing off her engagement ring to all her friends, and he noticed a certain blue haired boy making his way to her.

"Hey Marinette," she turned away from the girls to see Luka. She smiled fondly at her friend, giving him kisses on each cheek before engulfing him in a hug.

"Hey Luka."

She moved away, a smile still plastered on her face.

"You look beautiful, and the service was something else. Adrien truly knows you, eh?"

"He knows me too well," a faint pink tint took over her cheeks as she looked back over to Adrien, they caught each other's eyes and smiled. Her stomach swirling with a thousand butterflies. Would this ever stop?

"I'm really happy for you," he took her into one last hug before heading over to Zoe. Marinette watched fondly as she cuddled up to his side and rested her head on his shoulder, they were made for each other.

"Please can everyone take their seats." The wedding coordinator made the announcement for everyone to move to their tables which could only mean one thing. Time for the speeches.

Adrien began his speech with the usual thank you for all being here, before raising a glass for absent friends and family. Next was the traditional compliment of the bridesmaids "both of you look beautiful," (Alya and Tikki grinned), followed by the announcement that he was grateful to be accepted into the Dupain-Cheng family (bigger grins from Tom and Sabine). He thanked Alix for officiating the wedding and handed out some gifts to each of those who helped arrange this special day. Then finally he moved onto Marinette.

"Now, I know I made some grand speech at the ceremony so I will try and keep this short, but anyone who knows me as Chat Noir will know that when it comes to M'Lady that's an impossible task. Then add in Adrien's obsession with Marinette and the issues triple."

A sound of laughter rang through the room, had there ever been a happier day?

"Now for those who don't know, we first met as Ladybug and Chat Noir. She literally fell into my life and she's held my heart ever since. She introduced herself as madly clumsy, after hitting me on the head with her yo-yo. She was not the girl you all saw first on television. She was nervous, and unsure of herself and I'm glad to say I helped ... numerous times." He winked at her as she rolled her eyes.

"Then the next day, I met sweet Marinette who ripped me a new one in front of the whole class. It took grovelling and an umbrella to apologise enough to befriend this wonderful girl. What I didn't realise though was how an umbrella could change my life. So everyone, please raise a glass to my wonderful wife, who I love and adore with all my heart. My soulmate and the woman I was made for. In the words of Ladybug and Chat Noir, pound it."

A chorus of "pound it" echoed around the room followed by the clinking of glasses as the guests all toasted the bride.

Tom stood up next, ready to make his father of the bride speech. Everyone was in tears as he praised his daughter and his new son-in-law, welcoming Adrien into the family with open arms. He told wonderful stories about Marinette's childhood including when she wore an apron on her head as a veil and waltzed around the bakery with a bouquet of baguettes. Apparently she was marrying the cute boy she saw in her magazine. Tom proceeded to pull out the offending magazine and it turned out Marinette had a specific type;  blonde hair, green eyed boys, especially when their name was Adrien Agreste. She buried her head into her husband's shoulder in complete embarrassment as Tom sent around the magazine spread of a ten year old Adrien. He laughed into her hair, kissing her temple.

Then came the greatest part of the speech. Tom's story of Weredad. Adrien and Marinette both cringed as he retold the awkward story, only to be relieved when her father said that finding out Chat Noir was Adrien would be up there as one of the greatest moments of his life. He adored Adrien and couldn't imagine his little Ladybug being with anyone else. He raised his glass to toast the happy couple, before seating himself back down. Adrien stood up and made his way over to the big man giving him a hearty hug and pat on the back. Oh, how he felt honoured that this man was now his father in law.

Seating himself back down, Adrien braced himself. Time for the Best Man's Speech ...
