Ray POV:

I was placed in a small cage; the ones that you keep hamsters in. The scientist grabbed a syringe and injected it into me. My vision started to blur. My legs felt like spaghetti. My mind felt fuzzy. I fainted.

...

"Oh... did it work?" I was awoken by the sound of the scientist talking. My vision felt... better. I looked around, the things far away weren't blurry anymore.

"Wh-what did you do to me?!" I asked the scientist. He thought for a moment.

"Squeak once if your vision is better, squeak twice if it got worse or stayed the same," he told me. Squeak?

"Uh... Squeak?"

"YES!" He exclaimed, doing a little dance. He grabbed a pair of scissors, and his face went serious. "This will hurt." He then cut the black tag off of my ear, cutting a circle of my ear out, too. That did hurt, it was bleeding like crazy. The scientist then bandaged my ear up and put me on the floor. "I won't tell anyone." I ran out of there, back to the exit door, hoping my friends would still be there.

"Are you oka..." they stared at me.

"What is it?"

"Your eyes. They're red," Miff muttered. Red eyes? That sounds cool.

"Guys, relax, I can see clearer now! Just open the door with the keycard," I said. Crumble shakily opened the door.

"Your ear is bandaged," Crumble pointed out. I realized they still had a black tags on their ears. They probably have tracking devices in them or something. I grabbed the tag on Crumble's ear and ripped it off successfully without hurting him. I then did the same with Miff. I guess that scientist didn't try to take it off. Before we could even step on the highway, my eyes were covered. My mouth, too. I was being dragged somewhere, when suddenly...

BONK!

Something hit my head, making me black out.
