Yugi

I woke up as I looked around to see that Min was missing.  I shook the blue-haired Cardfighter. 

"Aichi! Hey, Aichi!" I said, as Aichi groans as he looks up at me groanily as he said, "Morning, Yug. What's the matter?"

I glanced at him as he was clueless. "You happened to know where Min went off to, do you?" 

The Cardfighter looks at the empty bed next to him as his eyes widen in pure shock. "This isn't like her to go off on her own. "

"Should we be worried about her? You know her better than anyone. Was she always like this, disappearing without saying anything ?" 

Aichi bit his lips, as if I mentioned something similar . 

"Aichi! Your breakfast is getting cold! Get down here this instant!" Emi yells from downstairs as I was amazed of how mature his little sister was . 

"Aichi, I still don't get it. How could you be Emi be younger than you and acts like she's the big sibling?" I ask him as Aichi rubs his head in total embarrassment of the question. 

"Well, she's always acting like that as long I remember. Why you ask?" Aichi asks , which I waved my hands, "Hey , it's just that I am totally impressed of her, that's all. 

I don't have any siblings, so this is quite a shock to me to be completely honest here. " I replied, which cause the blue-haired teen to laugh as if it was a good thing. 

As we sat down and eaten our food, Aichi said, standing up, "How about we search for Min? She could be anywhere in Kanto by now." 

I nodded, "Yeah, you do have a point." 

We were about to leave, but Emi blocked our way to the door. "Wait, you both can't go!" She said, as we looked at her. 

"Why would say we can't go, Emi? Is something wrong?" Aichi asks his younger sister in a curious tone. 

"I-I um, wanted to learn about Duel Monsters! I mean, it seems that I want to take a crack at it, and I don't want to left out." 

Aichi looks at me as he apologizes, "I'm sorry , Yugi. If this is a bother to you-" 

I said, "No, no, it's totally all right with me, besides, I am the King of Games after all, so this type of thing is something I enjoy. In fact, since our worlds are in the balance, Emi does have a good point. 

You might have to do some Dueling sooner or later, it's best that you know exactly what to do when the moment comes along. So, I already packed two Duel Disks and Card decks before I left Domino City!" 

"Whoa. You're supremely good." Emi exclaimed. 

Kai

I was in total shock of the message I've received from Shin. 

"Hey, Kai! You'll never guess who is back! " 

He shown me the picture of Kourin and Min playing a Cardfight match! 

I ran as fast I could as the doors opened through, Min , Naoki, Shingo and Kourin were in total shock of my arrival. 

"Sorry, Min. I kind of texted Kai you're back. " Shin said to break the awkward silence. 

I couldn't bear my excitement that I have my best friend back, as I wildly embrace her with open arms. 

"Oh, Min!" I said as Min said, "I'm so sorry that I didn't tell you I returned home sooner. I wanted to surprise you. " 

"I see. Doesn't Aichi know you're here?" I ask my old friend as Min said, "He knows I'm back in Kanto , but I didn't tell him about Kourin has her memories back. I wanted him to be surprised, and there is trouble for Vanguard. I think there's a Diff Rider." 

I groan, "You're kidding me. I thought that Chrono and others defeated the Diff Riders in the Under 20." 

"It couldn't been worse, Kai. Besides, if anyone is in trouble , we can sense it, with the Seed of Link Joker, remember?" Shingo reminds me as I touched my chest. 

I sigh, "Yeah, you're right about that, Shingo. But still, even if it was a year ago, I still can't believe that Aichi would hide from us, and in spite of not asking for us to help him, he didn't noticed that we would go after him to the Moon Palace." 

Min shrugs, "Well, Aichi had his reasons , and I am still mad too, but I forgive him . He's still the same Aichi we know , besides, no matter what Vanguard is what binds us together, no matter what the consequences are." 

I smiled at her.  "I guess that is a good point. But still, having the whole gang back together like this, it feels nostalgic , like things were good and not to worry about Vanguard. " 

"True. But it was fun worthwhile too. Besides, I wouldn't be the same person if I didn't meet you or Aichi. 

You are my Vanguard, always." Min replies. 

As we exchanged happy emotions that Kourin is back with the rest of us. 

Kourin said, "I guess this means that I have to cancel my Tv ad for Vanguard tomorrow." 

Min said, "You don't have to cancel it! I mean, you are a sponsor to Vanguard! We can meet here after you finish it. We can wait." 

Naoki nods, agreeing with her, "Yeah, Kourin. It's no biggie. We know how much it meant to you, we wouldn't do anything to upset you any way." 

She smiles at the comfort that she would still be supportive friend, even though her memories had been different. 

"Thanks for understanding , you guys." Kourin said, felt totally relieved about it, as Min said, "Then, it's settled then. We'll all meet at Card Capital, and we can discuss battle ideas in case the Diff Rider shows up with a Duel Monster Deck or challenge us to a match." 

Naoki laughs, "Min, whenever we hang out with you, things always been interesting, you know that." 

"Well, I have to head to see Koji . Maybe he can help us out with the situation." I suggested. 

Min nods, "Good idea. I love to see Koji again. " 

Aichi 

Even though that I am used to Vanguard, I never played Duel Monsters. Emi seems to be excited of playing this new game. 

"This is just practice game, so don't be too reckless on each other, all right?" Yugi asks. 

"Aichi, you have to be ready. With this Diff Rider who wants to control both Planet Cray and Duel Monsters, we have to be capable of doing both. " Emi said in a stern voice which made me sweat, as Yugi slides over to me, "Still can't believe that she's your younger sister." 

"Ok, here are the rules of Duel Monsters: 

Each player must have a deck with 42 cards in their hands. It's also important that the decks have to be shuffled before the game begins. 

You also have two different types of cards to choose: Monsters and Spells . 

Each player starts at 2000 Life points. 

Good luck. " 

"All right. Ladies first." I said. 

Taiyou

I was walking alone , as I bumped into Naoki and Min. 

"Taiyou! What a surprise!" Naoki said, as I was stunned to see them both. We sat in a restaurant together . 

"I didn't suspect I would bump into you guys this late at night." I said to them as Min rubs her head in total embarrassment. 

"Well, we were heading back to Aichi's house on the way, so I guess this is a good opportunity to relax before any trouble starts." Naoki exclaims as I chuckled. 

"So, Taiyou , what brings you here? " Min asks. 

"Well, I want to know you, Min. You know all about Aichi and Kai , and about Vanguard too." 

Min chuckles, "To be completely honest, Aichi was the one who introduce me to Vanguard. Aichi Kai and I are best friends. 

It was a lot of fun, make new friends and rivals throughout Vanguard. But then, everything changed over a year ago." 

Naoki sweats as if he knew she was talking about. 

"What you mean, Min, I don't understand." I said in total confusion. 

Naoki said, "Min, mind if I tell him about the Reversed, and Legion?"

"Go ahead, Naoki. Taiyou wants to know anyway, I see no harm of keeping it a secret among friends." 

"The Reverse Invasion, it was through all Cardfighters who were infected by an evil unit called , "Link Joker." 

I gasp, remembering the Clan, "Isn't Link Joker a good clan now , part of Planet Cray? "

"It wasn't before. Link Joker possessed Takuto, and he literally turns our friends against one other. 

In so, Min and the others try their very best to stop the invasion from spreading. Aichi and Min also went against Kai too, when he was Reversed. It wasn't easy for both of them. 

Obviously, Aichi did won against Link Joker himself, but in doing so, Link Joker planted a thing called , "The Seed" in his body. 

Aichi knew he couldn't control the evil that was inside of him, so he hid in secrecy, in a place called The Moon Palace , for our sake. " 

"Whoa. " I said, amazed of the story. 

"It sounds a lot like Aichi and I have something in common after all. I was in the wrong path when I started Cardfighting. 

But with meeting Chrono , I became more friendlier and loosen up a bit , even when I lost. Cardfight really changed who I became to be." 

"Hm, hey, how about we settle this night off with a Cardfight, Taiyou? I want to tweak my deck a little." Min said. 

"Oh, it's on, Min. " 

"Stand up, Vanguard!" 

The atmosphere was amazing , as that I see the total connection with Min and her units. It makes me a little better of having meeting different Cardfighters I've encounter with. 

As the fight ended, Min collected her cards, "Taiyou, I have to admit, your deck of Royal Paladins, they're amazing!" 

I rubbed my head, "Gee, thanks. But you're the one who has Legion Mate with your Royal Paladin. I never be able to defeat an powerful player like yourself. " 

Naoki said, "Well, at least we can focus on defeating this Diffrider who wants to control Planet Cray and Duel Monsters. 

I'm sure we can defeat this person." 

But I wonder how can we?
