Aichi

I was in total shock of seeing Min again. She looks different , but still, I am glad she's here, but why?

The boy next to her said, "Aren't you going to introduce me to your friend, Min?"  Min smile a bit, as she said, "Aichi, this is my new friend, Yugi Moto from Domino City. He's a duelist with a trading card game called , "Duel Monsters." 

Yugi seems to be blushing, "And I am a champion of the game , nicknaming me, "The King of Games."  I also um saw an Unit firsthand." 

I turned to Chrono, "Why does this sound so familiar, huh, Chrono?"  The red -haired Cardfighter sighs in total regret as he remembers what happened in the Under 20. 

"Yeah, it sounds like Diff Riding again , I thought that was behind us. " 

"Diff Riding?" Yugi asks as Min was confused of it as well, as I explained the events of the Under 20.

"Well, you know of Cardfighting tournaments held in Kanto frequently , right?" I ask , as Min nods, "Yeah, Team Q4 participated in the Asian Circuit and other events. Why you ask?"

"Well, you see, Under 20 was a Cardfight tournament. It was fun, until things got way out of hand." Taiyou explains. 

Shion said, " Diff Riders are Units that inhabit Cardfighter's soul and use against their will. It wasn't an easy task of trying to defeat them. Team Try3 and Team Striders had banded together to pull it off. " 

Yugi said, pointing out, "Taiyo, you mentioned Team Striders before. Is that mean you were in a team?" 

He nod , confirming, "Yeah. I did, but Chrono is the most popular Cardfighter alongside Aichi." 

"Really?" Min ask, seemed to be disbelief. 

"Chrono Shindou,  Shion Kiba and Tokoha Anjou. It was my idea to form the team. " Kamui said, as Shion and Chrono were embarrassed. 

"Well, yeah. Team Try3 is the first team to compete all Cardfight challenges and was given the title, "Generation Masters. " You should've seen them together." Taiyo exclaimed, "They were an amazing team.  Team Striders is the Champions of the Under 20. Chrono formed the team, since he was the leader, alongside me and our friend, Kazuma Shouji. "

Min said, totally impressed, "Well, when Vanguard is danger, things will get even tougher than ever, right , Yugi?"

He said, "Yeah, I guess. Seeing Vanguard is exciting. I can't wait to teach Joey and the gang how to play. We can fight each other." 

But I remain silent as I thought about Kourin.  Later that night, Min and Yugi stayed over at my place. 

"Wow, Aichi, you really are something. You encounter Vanguard by Kai giving your first card? It sounds a lot like my situation back home. I was lonely, but then when I got the Puzzle, I changed, got more confidence in myself, and make new friends along the way. I guess Vanguard and Duel Monsters have the same effect on both of us." 

"Well, to be honest, Min was the one who changed a lot. She used to be like me, a shy girl who loves Vanguard. But then one year ago, I had this thing called the Seed. The Seed of Link Joker. I knew that it would harm her, so I left without saying anything. But Min was so determined to find me, it was like a whole different side of her I never seen before. Although... I felt bad of doing it. " 

"It's never easy of trying to do the right thing, I know the feeling too well. " Yugi said, reassuring me. 

Min

I overheard the conversation between Yugi and Aichi. Even though , Aichi never admit it, I can tell with his tone that he really felt lonely and lost without Kourin by his side. 

I still remember so clearly about the promise I've made: "I'll find you, Kourin, no matter what. Vanguard keep us connected. I promise!" 

I woke up early as I possibly can as Emi saw me. "Let me guess. You going to get to see Kourin and get her memories back without telling Aichi about it, right?"

I was stunned. "H-How did you-" 

She winks, "Don't worry, I wouldn't bail on you. Just get to Card Capital 2 with her and battle her there.  I'll keep Aichi here with Yugi while you Cardfight." 

I said, "Thanks, Emi. You're the best." 

I ran out of the house, as I had high hopes of finding Kourin. As I did, I was actually amazed that I actually found my old friend that I haven't seen in ages. 

She was adverting an ad for Vanguard, as the director called, "Cut! We're done for the day, so you girls can get the day to yourselves. " 

Kourin was walking home by herself as I tapped her shoulder. The girl looks at me as if I was an total stranger. 

"Hi, Kourin. " I said to her as she asks, "How you know me? Just who are you?" 

"Come with me, I can teach you to play Vanguard , if you like me to." I said, as she was curious as I led her to Card Capital 2 as Shin was in the Counter, as his eyes widen of seeing Kourin again. 

"Min! You broug-"  Shin began to say as I pulled him down to the behind the counter. 

"Shin, please don't tell Aichi or the others yet! I had to bring her here , to restore her memories and she'll remember everything if you keep your mouth shut, ok?"

"Fine. I wouldn't say a word until you say so. Geez, Aichi and Kai were right about you, once you make up your mind, there is no point of convincing you." 

I smile, "Well, it's a gift." 

Kourin looks at me as I place my deck on the Vanguard table. "I have your deck right here. " It was her Gold Paladin deck I remember she used to play with when she was still the member of the Miyaji Academy Vanguard Club. 

"Uh, thanks." She said as I picked the battlefield. "Ready to begin, Kourin?" I ask her. 

"Yeah... I think. I'm not sure if I can do this ." She said as I said, smiling, "You'll get the hang of it eventually.  " 

We cried in unison, "Stand up, Vanguard!" 

Naoki

I walk with Shingo. "Hey, man. I was wondering how is Aichi been doing lately? I know that he means well, with being in America, but I do miss the guy." I said to my friend. 

"Well, it's hard to say since Aichi is Aichi. I bet that he's playing Vanguard as we speak in Card Capital 2." 

I rubbed my head, but I still see the guilt that Aichi put us through , through Legion , the Reversed and being the bearer of the Seed of Link Joker. I touched my chest, knowing I hold the piece of the Seed. 

It doesn't hurt, but it kind of felt relieve of knowing the risks Aichi had worked so much on. 

That was when Shingo and I were stunned of whom we saw when we entered the Card Shop. 

"No way." Shingo said, in total disbelief, raising his glasses as I couldn't believe it either. 

"It's Min and Kourin! But how it was possible they be here, and why they Cardfighting if Kourin doesn't remember who we are when Kai defeated Aichi back at the Moon Palace?" I asked as Shingo looks at me with annoyance. 

"Still can't believe I didn't remember all that. You and Kamui are so lucky." He said. 

I said, waving my hands, "It's not my fault that we remembered everything while you don't! Geez, man, you have to let it go already. " 

But I look directly at the two former members of the Miyaji Cardfighting Club . 

"What is your intention, Min? What's going on in your head?"  I thought in my mind, as Shingo went to Shin's desk. 

"Hey, Shin, do you have any idea of why Min is here, I thought she left Kanto. " He said, as Shin was nervous about something . 

"Y-Yeah, it's kind of a surprise right? Never thought that she would be back so soon." 

"It's time , Limit Break!" Kourin yells as Min was in total amazement that she can remember Limit Break. 

Kourin ask, "What's wrong, did I do it right? Placing a Grade 3 in top of a Grade 3?"

Min nods, "Yeah, I'm impressed . It's like you are taking it more seriously. Well, I'm serious too. 

"Unleash your future, your desire to come to my aid, I ride, Blaster Girl Exceed!"

We were amazed of Min's new Blaster Girl, as Kourin gazes at the unit. 

Kourin

I gaze at the Unit with pure amazement as Min was smiling, "It evolved from Blaster Girl to Blaster Girl Exceed. The unit and I are matured , grew much stronger because of how much we depend on one other. 

We made a promise. Seek the Mate! Legion!" 

As Legion came to me, all my memories had finally returned to me, as all the memories of Aichi, Naoki, Misaki, Shingo, and Min playing Vanguard in Miyaji Academy , and how Min won the Cardfight against Aichi, to show him that he wasn't alone anymore. 

"Kourin?" Min asks me as I begin to smile once again to see an old friend. 

"This match isn't over yet, I guard with Angelic Liberator! "

"Angelic Liberator?!? Geez, I forgot that was in your deck. " Min groans in despair. 

She took 3 damage as she instantly grabs the edge of the bar, as she said, "I'm not going to lose to you. " 

"Still reliable as ever. I kinda missed our fights together, Min." 

Min was surprised, "Wait, Kourin, you remembered everything? Does this mean that your memories... they're back?" 

"Yeah, thanks to you. But we're in a middle of a match. We'll catch up if you can beat me with your newly evolve Blaster Girl. " 

"Sure thing, Kourin, but I'm going to beat you this time around." Min said. 

As the match ended, Min was pure exhausted, as she sat on the couch beside her. 

"Kourin, I am so relieved that you got your memories back. " She said, as Shin came over and gave us some tea. 

"You really outdid yourself, Min. Although, you and Kourin isn't the only one here in Card Capital 2, you know."  

We exchange looks at one other and with our greatest surprise, it was Naoki and Shingo! 

"Naoki! Shingo! Don't tell me you guys were watching our Cardfight just now were you?" Min exclaimed .

Naoki nods as Min groans, "Awe, that's just perfect! I really thought I was alone with Kourin. Emi knew I was going to be here, but I didn't suspect you two would come. I guess what a surprise Kai would be if he finds out I'm back in Kanto." 

Shingo was surprised as he raises his glasses, "Wait , Kai hasn't known about your sudden return to Kanto yet?"

"No, not really. Kamui said that he's out there somewhere, but I haven't the slightest idea where Kai is. 

Besides , we have bigger issues to deal with." Min said which causes us to be curious of her words. 

"What you mean by that?" I ask her . 

Min explains as Naoki whistles in amazement. 

"That... is a lot to take in, Min." I said, "Is that why you needed my help?" 

"Well, yeah. I'm sorry, you just got your memories back and I don't want you to suffer again." Min apologizes. 

"Are you kidding?!? Min, I would do anything for Vanguard! Besides, if Aichi is involved , I want to help anyway I can, so don't doubt my intensions, all right?" I laughed as Min sighed of relief. 

As things would make any more awkward, the doors flung open to see Kai's surprise expression as Shin rubbed his head, "Sorry, I guess I kind of texted Kai that you're back. "
