Don't go out at night on a full moon! And most important:

This may seem so 'cool' to know that werewolves are real but trust me, DO NOT GO LOOKING FOR THEM!

I'm putting this warning so much on the book starter creatures because so many people read about them and some are even stupid enough to 'want to meet an actual werewolf or vampire'!

Don't be that stupid person, they are INCREDIBLY dangerous and you do NOT want to meet them unless you're an 'expert'!

BTW, even if you're an expert, you don't want to meet them!

First of all...what EXACTLY are werewolves?

Wow, ok...you don't know what werewolves are?

Well, that's why I'm here!

Werewolves are basically people who turn into wolves! Every werewolf turns in the full moon but some even turn when there isn't a full moon.

They are usually bigger than humans and much more dangerous than a normal wolf. They are bigger, stronger and possibly more smarter! They are very protective for their territory and pack members. They always have a lot of people in a pack and they love to spend time with each other.

On a full moon they can be a bit out of control and that's why you must always be careful on a full moon!

What do you do if you see one?

If the werewolf hasn't seen you them stay very still and don't make a noise. If there's anything or anyone near you then there's a small chance that it won't notice you or smell you out.

If however the werewolf has seen you...run as fast as you can to the nearest shelter!

If a werewolf is after you, how can you protect yourself?

The only thing that kills a werewolf is silver so obviously find any piece of silver you can!

I would recommend melting it down I to silver bullets but just any old piece of silver will do!

Does sterling silver work too?

If you don't know what sterling silver is then it's just basically silver with a bit of copper melted into it so it's more flexible for jewellery and anything else that needs to be shaped.

I haven't actually tested this, but I should think so! Sterling silver is still mostly silver so it should work!

Are they really that bad?

I have been thinking about this for a while now...and the answer is no.

They're not as bad as most creatures because you can communicate with them when they're in human form.

Some werewolves have been known to make allies and contracts for certain things like not entering a town in wolf form or simply not killing.

Unlike vampires, werewolves don't need to eat humans. They can eat any kind of animal.

So why the fear if they don't eat humans?

Just because they don't eat humans regularly doesn't mean they will leave you alone when you're in their territory!

They will kill and eat you if you're in their way so never approach a werewolf. Not that you would be brave enough and stupid enough to.

Werewolves are terrifying.

People have been afraid of werewolves and other creatures of the night for centuries now and for a good reason. They look, sound and just their presence makes humans afraid. It's much bigger than you, stronger, faster, ferocious and possibly more intelligent than a normal human.

Just knowing that you could be defenceless sends shivers and fear through people.

You couldn't do anything to protect you and your family...unless you have silver! 

Why is silver so important and how does it kill a werewolf?

Silver is a pure and 'gentle' metal but it's also one of the strongest and it has the highest electrical conductivity of any element!

Werewolves are usually considered unholy and not pure so it makes sense that silver, the purest and most moon associated metal, can kill a werewolf.

No one knows exactly why silver kills werewolves, for that you would have to find a werewolf, inject it with silver and study it and let's face that, it's impossible. So with so little information and REAL knowledge about these creatures, that was the best answer I could give you.
