If you see a ghost please don't try and make it appear another time! These are things you can't mess around with!

First of all...what exactly are ghosts?

I'm pretty sure everyone knows what a ghost is but for those of you who have been living under a rock all their life and somehow are reading this book...ghosts are people who died. They are the souls of people to be more exact, they are still here because they may have unfinished business or a close belonging to them has been kept.

Why are ghosts here?

Ghosts can haunt people, and that is often why they've been seen. But they don't necessarily have to haunting someone to be seen.

For example, some ghosts might want to finish some business like say goodbye to family members or help someone find their body or something. Mostly though, ghosts who have unfinished business want to get revenge and kill their killer or their family.

Ghosts might also be here evacuee they choose not to move onto the 'other side'.

How to you identify a ghost?

This is a question that Pokemad1 wanted to know the answer to do this question is dedicated for her!

Identifying a ghost can be difficult because they can be there without you knowing, they can be quiet and just watch you.

Here are a few things to think about when you try to see a ghost or find out if there is one in your house:

1. Did someone close to you die recently?

2. Did anyone die in the house? Maybe a previous owner or a family member. A pet can be a ghost too

3. Do you suddenly feel cold?

4. Do your lights flicker?

5. Do you feel watched a lot and there's no one there?

6. Does your pet bark at a wall or look at something that you don't see?

Those are all things you must consider and if the answer to most of these is yes then you have a ghost on your hands.

The way to identify a ghost is to try and look for a faint outline of a person or an animal in your house. If it suddenly goes cold in your room then it most likely means that the ghost is there.

Also lights will flicker when an angry ghost or spirit is present. You can also get all sorts of gadgets to track and find out if you have a ghost, I'm just teaching the old fashioned way.

So basically it may all be on those factors and your gut. If your gut tells you that you're being watched the you most likely are!

What will a ghost look like?

A ghost will look different, depending on how they died. A person that died by being electrified might have a blue outline. Either that or the ghost can "travel" through electric devices. It can also give off electric shots. A person that died in the water might leave footprints on the floor or puddles of water. It all depends on how they died.

But if it was a simple death then it'll just be a faint outline of a person.

What to do if you see a ghost:

It depends on what the ghost is doing.

If the ghost showed up and is just watching you then they probably mean no harm. Be Cautious and don't do anything to anger it. If it's really bothering you then find out what the ghost wants and who it is.

What do you do if a ghost is haunting you and how do you get rid of it?

This is a very difficult process so that's why there are so many 'companies' that take care of ghosts like the ghostbusters and other ones.

It can be very hard.

The reason is because first of all you have to find out who the ghost is. This can be difficult because the ghost might not look like anyone in particular or very different and as the same state they were in when they died. Ghosts aren't that cooperative either so that's a challenge all on its own!

After you find the ghosts name then you have to research and find out where and when they died.

You also have to find out if they were buried or cremated.

If buried:

If the body was buried then I have some disturbing news to what you have to do.

You have to find out EXACTLY where the body was buried and dig it up. If all of the parts are in the grave then you must set the body on fire.

This gets rid of the ghost and any connection it has to this world.

if cremated:

If the body was cremated then I have some bad news; it will be very hard from now on.

This means that the ghost has a connection to this world through an object they possessed.

Some examples;

-a lock of hair

-any jewellery the person had

-a watch

-anything they made or something close to them

After you find the object the only option is to burn it.

After the object is gone then the ghost should be gone too. If it's not then it may have some important unfinished business.

What if the ghost has important unfinished business?

This doesn't happen often so when it happens to you and you have a ghost with unfinished business then you're quite unlucky.

Now, this personally hasn't happened to me and I don't know of any cases but it's possible I guess. I don't have any solid proof but it could be possible so if it happened to you then please comment!

The only way to resolve this is to help the ghost compete the unfinished business. If this involves killing someone then please contact me right away, I will help!

How to protect yourself from a ghost:

Salt.

Ghosts can't touch salt and it burns them. So if you want to get rid of a ghost then throw salt at them.

About the salt circle theory:

I don't have any proof that it works but ghosts can just step over it is my friend and i's opinion.

So I can't guarantee that it'll work!

If you think you might be possessed by a ghost:

Yes.

It's possible.

Ghosts can posses you and they will if they get the chance!

If you think a ghost might be possessing you then eat salt or drink really salty water right away!
