Chapter 33. Explanations
(little A/N at the end that you should probably read.)
POV: Xisumavoid
Location: Admin HQ, Infirmary
I opened my eyes to hear yelling in the middle of the infirmary. I groaned and got up, seeing what the fuss was.
"Grian, you won't be able to handle it by yourself! You need someone to help you! It's too much weight on your shoulders!" Libra exclaimed, throwing her hands in the air. Grian stood with his arms crossed, a disbelieving look on his face.
"Libra, I'm not fragile like glass. I can have some responsibility for myself, you know." He replied calmly. Libra grunted with exasperation. Grian looked over to Hypixel for help, but the server owner only shrugged. Hypixel slumped further into the couch he was sitting on, as if this has been going on for hours. Sounds believable, honestly.
"At least let Steve help you." Libra insisted. Steve sighed, shaking his head a little.
"For the hundredth time, I'm alright by myself!" Grian replied as Libra put her hands on her hips.
"Oh my God, you two are arguing like a married couple. Stop, just let him do what he wants." Hypixel groaned, pulling the hood over his face and covering his eyes. They only ignored him. I shook my head and made my way over to Steve. I silently stood next to him, observing the scene. I'm almost one hundred percent sure that I was the last one to wake. I guess that's what I get for being physically, mentally, and magically exhausted.
Everyone (meaning the Hermits and the admins that saved us) was gathered on the couches. More were conjured to fit more people. Said people were slumped on the couch or quietly conversing with each other. Most were not paying attention to the argument at hand. They must have been going on like this for a long time.
"Libra, I'm actually a responsible person, though I never seem to be. I can care for myself. I promise you." She narrowed her eyes.
"... Fine, but when you get hurt don't come crying to me about it. I'm just worried about you, Grian." She huffed and turned. She sat on a chair, arms and legs crossed. Grian sighed and walked away to a chest, shuffling through the items in it.
"What in the Nether happened?" I asked Steve, turning to him and leaning against the wall we were standing near.
"Grian explained the entire story. They forced him to without you. We'd figured that you wouldn't mind, since you were there the entire time." I nodded.
"It's okay. I also don't really want to hear it again. It... was a hard time to go through." Steve dipped his head once, understanding. He also probably doesn't like that time period for a numerous amount of reasons.
"After we explained it, Libra got worried about the magic Grian took in, as everyone else was. They knew that too much magic could literally rip someone apart. However, most didn't make a fuss about it. Yeah, there may have been one comment about it here and there, but it didn't drag out like Libra's and Grian's argument. It was way over thirty minutes. I stopped counting.
"Also, I know that Grian is worried, but he'll have it under control in no time. If he needs help, he could just call me... even 303 or Null. They're not as evil as you think, though sometimes their motives could be questionable." Steve babbled. I nodded again, not knowing what to say.
Grian walked towards us, holding a bowl of steaming pasta. Hypixel lifted his hood and looked at it with a 'wtf' expression.
"How did you get that? Pasta isn't a thing in Minecraft." He said.
"I'm magical, I can do whatever I want." Grian replied, putting a forkful into his mouth. Hypixel shook his head, pulling the hood over his face once again. Grian paused, swallowing the food and turning to Steve.
"Wait, Steve, you said that I could do anything Notch could?"
"Yes."
"Do all the Higher Powers have the same abilities?"
"... yes."
"Does that mean I can bring back people that have gotten a perma-death?" Steve didn't say anything. He hesitantly nodded. Grian snapped his head over to me, blue eyes boring into my green eyes through the silver visor. I knew what he was thinking. I shook my head very slowly. Grian gave me a confused look beyond description.
"Knowing Xanthus, he wouldn't want me to. I... I can't explain it. Maybe it's the twin thing, but I just know that he wouldn't want to be resurrected." I say, picking my words carefully. Steve nodded, a faint trace of a smile on his voice. Grian looked disappointed, but relieved at the same time. Maybe he wanted to try to help me, but didn't want to use his newly acquired magic.
Steve looked at Grian in approval.
"You've... you've got a good head on your shoulders, Grian. Don't lose those qualities." Steve said, a small genuine smile on his face. Grian returned it, nodding his head once. He continued to eat his food, sitting down on a conjured chair he effortlessly made.
"Hypixel, what happened when we were gone?" I asked. Hypixel sighed and got up from his seat. He started to pace, moving his hands around as he spoke.
"Alright, let's start off with the smaller problems. The sun hasn't risen since you left and the invasion started. Herobrine's minions destroyed many smaller servers. They had to be evacuated to a larger and more secure server. Mine was the first choice... and unfortunately crashed twenty-six times." His footing faltered, but Hypixel pretended like it never happened.
"Larger problems now. The HQ was almost infiltrated by his minions, but many admins fought them off. He had to quickly repair the front before any other attacks happened. A total of seven attacks happened. Next, the original Overworld was messed up. There was lava all over the place, but... 303 and Null were taking care of it? I only saw a glimpse of them, but they looked pissed-" Steve facepalmed.
"Their way of taking care of things is by lava. Lava is always the answer. No doubt it looks like the Nether now." Steve muttered. I snorted quietly, stopping my shoulders from shaking.
"All the players are either confused or angered. We have to say something to them. We can't lie, because they'll eventually find out. That's about it. Not many things happened, they're just going to be difficult to fix." Hypixel concluded. I slumped against the wall, knowing all the damage listed would take a lot of time. Many months would be required to finish it.
"It's alright. We'll make it work. We'll make sure everyone is alright." Grian promised.
"What will we tell the players?" Hypixel questioned.
"The truth. Most of it, anyway." Grian said. No doubt he wants to keep his 'Higher Power' status quiet. I don't blame him.
"Is that it for now?" I asked. Most nodded.
"All we want you to do is wait until you fully heal. Then you can go back to the Hermitcraft server." My eyes widened.
"Oh, good Heavens, we didn't tell them we were alright. They're probably sick out of their minds, worrying about us and everything." The Hermits present basically facepalmed, but in their own way.
"Well, good luck for when you guys return." Skeppy snickered, knowing how... violent and worried many Hermits could get. I shook my head in amusement, as did many others. We had the same thought.
Prepare to get whooped when we get back to the server.

(ok so, I am wondering if you guys... wanted a prequel to TWD [someone asked me for a prequel, many asked for a sequel]. I was wondering if I should write it in the first place, but there's a few things I wanted to say before you tell me.
Remember, all of these are my opinions. Consider these points when you tell me what you want. I want feedback so I know what to do. I want to know what you want.
-Yes, it'd be fun to think about the times before these stories and write about it.
-No, I have other stories to work on that I haven't updated since the 9th.
-Yes, it's more for you to read if you like this concept.
-No, loss of inspiration.
-Yes, it'll be something else for me to do if I'm bored.
-No, stories like these should rest and be finished once and for all. It shouldn't keep being dragged on and on like it'll never end. In my opinion, I can't really keep dragging it on, and if I do (even if it's not me who's writing it), it'll bore myself and probably not be happy with the ending. Since this is a continuation of my first piece of writing, I feel like this idea deserves to rest and be done. If I do decide to complete this for all, feel free to write... one-shot fanfictions... about my fanfiction... (dafaq why would you- if you do, please be sure to credit me if you want to base it off my story. If not, okay fine by me. Though it would be nice to see something based off my story, I'm interested in your creativity.)
These are just a few of my points. And please, I know some of you will say, "Whatever you want to do will be fine for me/us." Nah, please give me feedback.
Thank you for sticking with me through this entire journey. Right now, the entire series is 55 chapters combined. Thank you, and good night/good day. [imma sleep and wake up to many notifs, huh.]
