Natsu P.O.V
Lucy, still freaked out from her nightmare, was still in my arms, shivering like a new born kitten. Her face was wet with tears, and her eyes were filled with tears. It was just Lucy, Levy, Master, Wendy, and me, trying to figure out what just happened. "It felt so real." Lucy whispered, squeezing my hand tightly.
"What exactly did you dream about?" I asked her.
But all she did was shake her head. "To horrible to re tell."
Master sighed. "Well whatever it was, it scared you to the point you were screaming in your sleep."
"Maybe it was just a curse." Levy thought.
"I would've sensed it right away." Wendy told her. We were all stuck, not sure what to do. I looked back at Lucy, who still had fear in her face. "Lucy, you have to tell us what happened. It's the only way we can help you." I told her.
She was silent at first, but then she said one word. "Gods."
"What?" Master asked, suddenly getting Lucy's attention.
"Six gods, planning for war with the dragons. They plan to kill every dragon and Dragon Slayer. They told me to watch for the signs." Lucy's voice quivered.
"What signs?" Wendy.
"Pain, grief, regret, love, anger, and betrayal. Those signs will happen soon. After each sign is shown, a god will appear." Lucy's voice began to crack.
"But why were screaming 'make it stop'?" I asked her.
"Bodies. So much bodies. Blood everywhere. The only thing I could smell was blood." That must've been horrifying. I held her tightly, and her body adjusted to it. "What about 'I'm sorry'? You kept screaming that too." I reminded her.
She broke out in tears. "Everyone started yelling at me, saying that I should've never been born; an existence that would destroy the world." This got me angry. Whoever gave her this dream was obviously trying to mess with her, trying to make her regret her existence. "Everyone's glad that you were born, Lucy. Be proud of that." I whispered. She nodded and held my hand tight. I looked over at Master, who was very pale. "Gramps, you alright?" I asked him.
He jolted up. "Oh yes, I'm alright. I'm just thinking." That never sounded good. "I think we should leave Lucy to rest. Do you think you'll be able to do the job tomorrow?" He asked Lucy.
She nodded. "I won't back down."
I smiled at her and rested her head on the pillow. "Are you sure you can sleep alone?"
Her face blushed brightly. "I-I'm a big girl! I can take care of myself!" She went under the covers and covered her head, probably pretending to sleep. I laughed outloud. This was the Lucy that I knew; the Lucy that I missed.
Lucy P.O.V.
Luckily, I didn't have the same nightmare like last time. But I still had that chilling feeling that something was stalking my mind. Every five minutes, I would wake up, making sure no one was in the same room. When I was finally able to get some sleep, an alarm in the infermary went off. I sat up straight, scared out my mind, until I realized it was just the clock alarm (why did they have an alarm in an infermary, I didn't know). I looked at the clock to see that it was already ten a.m. I groaned and got out of the infermary bed. I looked at myself in the mirror to see my hair all over the place. I didn't have a comb, so I to put my hairin a pony tail. I groaned again and headed out the door. I see that Natsu, Wendy, Carla, Happy and Gajeel are already here, drinking a cup of coffee. "Good Morning." I yawned.
"Didn't have a good sleep?" Wendy asked.
"I felt like I was being watched." I told them. "So is everyone ready?"
"We have to wait for Gramps, since he didn't give us the full detail of the job." Natsu said as he sipped his coffee.
"Where is he anyway. I'm getting impatient!" Gajeel growled.
"Calm down! It's still very early in the morning!" Pantherlily said from the ceiling. Suddenly, Master came bursting through the doors. "Dragon Slayers! Come forth!" He yelled.
"What are we, his knights?" I whispered to Natsu.
"He's probably enjoying it too." Natsu said with a slight chuckle. I laughed as well. We all came rushing to Master, wondering what our job is. "You gonna tell us our job now?" Natsu asked.
"Your job lies beyond Fiore, at Cilorthia." Master told us.
Excitment came rushing in my body. "Cilorthia! Are you serious!" I began to squeal with excitement.
"What's so great about Cilorthia?" Happy asked me.
"Cilorthia is famous for, well, everything! Their beaches, their librairies, thier sweets!" I explained, a squeal sneaking out.
"How do you know about it?" Natsu asked.
"Because I went with......." I tried to remember who I went with, but it was all just a blur. As if tht person was erased from my mind. "I forget." I said silently.
"I bet it'll come to you once we get their." Carla said.
"Yeah....maybe."
"So what are we doing in Cilorthia?" Pantherlily asked.
"Lot's of those sights that Lucy talked about have.....changed." Master said.
"Changed how?" Wendy asked.
"Everything has turned opposite; the glorious beaches have turned into swamps, their food turned poisonous. I want you seven to figure it out." Master ordered.
"Yes sir!" We all said in unison.
After days of traveling, we finally reached Cilorthia. We spotted the beaches to see that it has turned eerie, and some of the shop's food have turn poisonous. But other than that, it was still the same Cilorthia that I knew and loved. "Where should we start?" Natsu asked.
"Libraries! I wanna go to the Cilorthia Royal Library!" I said immediatley.
"It's no time for sight seeing, bunny girl." Gajeel growled. "This is some serious stuff."
"Now wait just a minute." Natsu said. "How about you two go and check out the swamps, while me and Lucy check out the foods."
"Good idea! We'll meet you back here in two hours!" Wendy exclaimed. As her and Gajeel, along with the three exceeds, walked away, I looked at Natsu with suspicion. "Are we really gonna go inspect the food?" I asked.
"Nope." He smiled mischeviously. He grabbed my hand and began to run. "Give me directions to the Library!" He yelled.
I smiled. "Just keep on going straight and you'll see it from afar!" We ran as fast as we could, dodging carts and children. Finally, after almost half an hour of running, we finally reached the library. It didn't really looked like a library; it looked like a castle! It looked like it was made of glass! I gazed upon it with wonder. "Wow." I gasped.
"Let's go in." Natsu said. We walked in the Library, and it was even more magnificent than I remembered. "I don't know where to start!" I exclaimed.
"What's your favorite genre?" He asked me.
"I love adventure novels." I told him. Suddenly, the floor rised and began to fly us through the castle. I screamed with excitment, as did Natsu. When we reached the hall for adventure novels, the floor surfaced again. "Say another genre!" Natsu pleaded.
"First, I want to check out some books." I told him. One by one, I began to grab books from the shelves. By the time I was at the end of the hall, I had collected sixty nine books! "I think you have enough books in your hands, Lucy." Natsu warned me.
"I need just one more!" I saw a book tha I've been waiting for about nine months and reached up for it. I couldn't reachit, so I got on my toes. "Almost...got it!" I gasped. Suddenly, I lost my balance and began to fall. But instead of feeling the hard, cold ground, I felt something muscular and warm. I open my eyes to see Natsu holding me, my head barely touching the ground. Our faces were only an inch away, but all I could do was just stare. "I told you." He said to me. I could see his face blush a little, so I said, "Um...You can let go of me now." At first, it looked like he was in a trance, but then he snapped back to reality. "Huh? Oh, yeah! Right." He said nervously. While he tried to pull me back up, he must've stepped on one of my books, because soon he flying to the ground, bringing me along with him. I ended up laying on top of him, our heads barely touching. I gasped. "I'm so sorry! Let me help you-" But instead of letting me finish, he just held me tightly. I looked at him with confusion, my face blushing as red as a tomatoe. "W-What are you doing?" I asked him.
"Something I should've done a long time ago." He whispered.
"What are you-" But suddenly, his lips were pressed against mine. I thought about pushing him away, but i began to melt in his kiss. Our kiss turned passionate as he held me tightly. I wanted this to last forever. Suddenly, we get a telepathy call from Wendy. You guys! We have trouble!, Wendy thought in our head.
What kind of trouble? Natsu asked.
Just hurry up here now, Fire boy! Gajeel roared. I looked over at Natsu, and he gave me an apologetic face. But all I did was smile. "Come on, let's go help them!"
Natsu smiled brightly, holding my hand tightly. "I'm all fired up!"
