It's Personal

▫️Enzo:

"So, great and legendary Zodiac," Blythe says to me as we are taking a taxi back to my mansion, "What exactly is your plan? I mean, nobody has ever seen Seven and lived to tell about it since the war started."

"That's false, he broadcasts himself all the time. Nobody has just been in the same room as him." I correct her.

She laughs, "Okay, Mr. Know it all--"

"Will you stop with the nicknames already?" I huff. "Why do you even want to come with me, you have nothing to gain and everything to lose."

"You don't know everything Enzo," Blythe sighs and looks out the window. "I am not Malison, but you must of known that by now. Right?"

"Yeah, your name kind of gave that away."

"Blythe Moran," she smiled softly. "I am a princess of Alberich, the 5th one in line for the throne. As you know, Malison and Alberich were in a war before this one. Malison won that one and decided as their prize they would kill my father, beheading him in front of everyone. It was your grandfather that made that order. I am here for revenge Enzo. I may of only been a child when it happened, but no one should have that power to take away another's life."

"Shouldn't you be going after my late grandfather then? Why Seven?" I ask her.

"Seven's intentions aren't friendly towards Alberich ever since we accepted his alliance offering and after he gets Malison, I bet he will come for Alberich next." She looked back to me, her grey eyes had a small glimmer of tears. She blinked a couple of times and the glimmer was gone.

"So you are just trying to protect your people?" I try to figure out her intentions. "But why would Seven attack you if your family is the top contributor to his army."

"We aren't since last week." Blythe fiddles with the zipper on her jacket. "My sister pulled out of the alliance. We kept quiet about it, so hardly anyone knows except my family and Seven."

"Then that means Francium is probably producing more for Seven... to make up for your absence."

"No," Blythe says. "Because of what we did, that means Seven is weak. He doesn't have near the amount of supplies he needs to function. If we can attack now, he will fall. But I also have personal matters that I need to attend to."

"Which are what exactly?" I still don't entirely trust my partner.

"It's personal. I just need to get something from your house."

"Well... It's kinda my house so I think I have a right to know."

"It's not even yours," she snaps. "It belongs to Luke, and I need it."

"Again, for what?"

"Personal reasons..."

I huff, "If you aren't going to tell me I can't help you."

"Good, cause I don't need the help of the future bad guy of the universe," she teases. "If the universe has any mercy on the rest of us, you will trip while your walking up stairs and die."

"I AM NOTHING LIKE MY FATHER!!" I yell at her. "So stop comparing me to him."

Blythe looks at me, her grey eyes meet my blue and green ones. She then turned and looked out the window. We rode in silence the rest of the way there.

"Oh good, you are just in time." Mason says when we arrive. "But you didn't say you were bringing your girlfriend..."

"She isn't my girlfriend." I quickly say to Mason before Blythe can say something first.

Mason shrugs and turns on his heels and starts to walk away. Blythe must not be his type of something, cause he ain't flirting. We follow him up the stairs to Torrent's room. Inside the room is packed with pieces of random machines scattered across the room. I couldn't even see his bed anywhere, but then again he doesn't sleep much. I step on a few bolts and screws as I try to walk to my cousin who is working on something at his desk.

"I just can't get this right..." Torrent mumbles to himself as he keeps trying, it looks like he was working with some sort of sword.

"Is that for me?" I question as I look over his shoulder. Torrent looks at me and smiles, he quickly stands up and hugs me.

"I missed you cousin." Torrent squeezes me.

"UGH..." I try to say. "Too tight!"

"OH!" Torrent let go of me. "Sorry. Who is this? Your girlfriend?"

Blythe starts to open her mouth but I quickly say: "Nope" before she could. Torrent shrugs at that remark and goes back to his project. I don't think Torrent has ever had a crush on anyone. Maybe he can make himself a girlfriend or something, since he is in love with science.

"Well this one isn't working out too well, I just can't figure out how the string works with the blade." Torrent pressed a button on the handle and the blade collapsed. I finally realize what he was making, a whip blade, Seven's signature weapon. "But I can't get it to function as both." Torrent tried to use it, but it didn't go so well.

"If it's not going well, can I use it as something else then?" I ask Torrent.

"Are you crazy? This is a freaking whip blade. You are not using this ever. You are not even ever gonna touch it. Cause you will probably chop you head off if you try." Torrent says as he puts the blade away. Blythe snickers next to me, and I glare softly at her. "These," Torrent says, "Are your weapons I made you."

He pulled out two small devices which looked like giant uppercase D's. "Ummm," I look at them, taking one as he hands them to me. "What is this?"

"Blasters." Torrent seemed proud as he held the handle, aiming the curve at a target on his wall, he pressed a button and it fires. A quick ray of white shot from the curve of the blaster and hit the wall, making a hole right through it into Jake's room.

"Wicked..." Mason stares beside us. Jake was not happy, he poked his head through the hole. "Ummm... escuse me? Can I please brush my hair and not have you blasting holes through my posters?"

"Well the boys on your posters make awful music," Mason teases.

Jake's jaw hung open. "Take that back!"

"Never!" Mason sticks his tongue out at him.

"Why you little--Enzo!" Jake finally notices me, he runs through the hole and right into my chest as he hugs me tightly. "Why did nobody tell me my favorite cousin is here?"

"Because nobody wanted to interupt your hair brushing hour," Mason snickers under his breath.

"HEY! I heard that," Jake snaps, letting go of me.

"You were suppose to," Mason teases.

"Guys, quit fighting." I hear a familiar voice at the doorway. It's my other cousin, Jay. Jay smiles and walks over to me and hugs me. "You really doing this? All by yourself?"

"He ain't alone," Mason says. "He gots a cute girlfriend--"

"She isn't my girlfriend!" I snap as I end my hug with Jay. I look around and... Blythe isn't here. Guess she left to do that personal stuff. I hope it's not something too bad that will get me in trouble later.

"Guys!" Torrent snaps. "Enzo is in a hurry."

He walks over to me and gives me the other blaster and a belt I can clip them both to. He then hands me a Net-Pad. "This has all the information you will need. There is a private jet waiting for you at the airport, you can take Mason's moterbike there--"

"HEY!" Mason interrupts. "My bike? Really?"

"It's the fastest way Mason." Torrent continues. "I have directions downloaded here, along with the layout of Seven's building, I assume he is on the top floor. Once there, these blasters will come in handy to defeat all the levels before you get to the top."

"What is on each level?" I ask.

"Don't know." Torrent hands me the device. I thank him then look around.

"You guys didn't happen to see Blythe wander off did you?" I ask.

Before my cousins can even answer, my partner walks back into the room. "Sorry," she says. "I needed to use the bathroom." I obviously know she is lying.

"We need to go now Blythe," I tell her. "You good?"

"I got everything I need," she smirks.

Oh great... well at least both of our plans are falling into place now.
