Queen

One of the greatest rock bands to have ever existed
I'm not sure where I'd be if I never heard their music.
Led by the amazing Freddie Mercury with his amazing voice
Followed by the other 3 who played a great role in their time.
They may not have gone far with their first 2 albums
But all the rest of the music they made is for what we know them by best.

How about we start with Queen I
Their first album with a lovely cover, but not exactly the best start.
For me the one song I know is Keep Yourself Alive
But to others, I'm sure there are more good ones on that album if you look.

Queen II was the next one to come and that didn't exactly do much better
But they gained something else from that album that will forever remain iconic.
The pose on there is what will come in the later super famous hit
It will never be forgotten and the song will definitely be overplayed by just a bit.
The songs I know there are Seven Seas of Rhye and March of the Black Queen
But digging deep is always the key for finding more great hits!

Sheer Heart Attack is what's next on the list
That gave their career a far better jump and the publicity they need.
Killer Queen really came up on those charts
And unfortunately that's the only song I know on that album XD.

This next album is actually my favorite
It's called A Night at the Opera and man that one took off.
It's all thanks to one song where we bring back that iconic pose
A little song called Bohemian Rhapsody which did well I suppose.
I know a lot of songs on that album
But my favorite is a 3 way tie between The Prophet's Song, Love of my life, and Death on two legs.

A Day at the Races came out next and that one has quite some interesting songs
With their iconic Somebody to love, that one can never let you down.
But my favorite is definitely is Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy
The up-tempo beat in it is just fantastic and so fun to listen to.

Now we have the iconic and famous News Of The World
With that giant killer robot on the front.
I'll be honest that picture kind of terrifies me
But listening to the music really gets that picture out of my head.
With it's iconic We Are the Champions and We will rock you
You really can't go wrong.
But my number 1 here will always be My Melancholy Blues
So melo and calm, but also very beautiful.

Jazz comes up next and it's possibly one of my favorites
I think you should all know what my favorite song is.
If you haven't guessed, it's Don't Stop Me Now all the way
With Bicycle Race and Mustapha being a super close second and third.

The Game always gave me good vibes and really took off with their work
Coming up with popular songs that John Deacon wrote.
He made Crazy Little Thing Called Love and Another One Bites the Dust super famous
But my number 1 will remain loyal to Play The Game.

Flash Gordan may not have taken off where they wanted it to go
Not many memorable qualities with this one.
I won't talk bad about it no, but if you want to check it out
I won't stop you.

Hot Space was sort of the same way
Going into the disco era, where people like to get up and dance the night away.
The only memorable song on this one is Under Pressure
Where the talented Freddie Mercury teamed up with the amazing David Bowie.

The Works is an ok album for me
But I don't know, I guess I just didn't give it a huge listen.
With famous hits like Radio Gaga and I Want to Break Free
This album is honestly not entirely made for me.

A Kind Of Magic I actually haven't listened to yet
But someday it would be pretty cool to do just that.
My favorite song and my dad's as well
Happens to be Who Wants to Live Forever.

Going into The Miracle, Freddie unfortunately got the awful news
It may have started to show, but it didn't affect his talent.
Breakthru and The Invisible Man are my favorite songs
But Freddie can't exactly keep his secret for long.

Now here we are on Innuendo
The final chapter for Queen's career.
It may be dark and it may be quite funny
But right as this was released
The fans wouldn't be laughing for long.
I'm Going Slightly Mad and The Show Must Go On may be relateable on this album
But These Are The Days Of Our Lives unfortunately gets me everytime.

I won't go into Made In Heaven because I don't know a lot and don't want to break any hearts
But Queen's legacy will always live on forever and that's a fact.
Roger, Brian, and John may be doing other things today
But making music will always in fact be their number 1 priority.

A/N: Please excuse my rhyming scheme for not being in this poem, I had the urge to write and with it being late here, I can't think as well and had no energy to look up or think of words that rhyme, but I hope that doesn't stop you from liking this poem and this book! Thank you so much for reading it!
