crocsnsockss made a core memory tag, so that's what this is.
To Ashley, I can't access any chapters from anyone on my phone, so I couldn't get a picture of the tag thing. Therefore, I'll just list my top six memories.
These memories aren't in any specific order.
► We were playing trashketball to study for Macbeth in English class. It was my turn to score for my team, but I have no confidence in my shooting skills. My team reassured me and told me to just go for the 3-pointer since we're already ahead. So I did an underhand from the 3-pointer line. And I made it in. Everyone, including the other team, was on their feet cheering. The basketball boys in my class were screaming at the legend that was me, and my team congratulated me for increasing the gap between us and the other team. The other team told me how awesome I was. It was the start of a very great day. The reasons why this moment was extra special were because (1) half of the class was gone on some trip that I forgot the purpose of and (2) there were some kids in my class that I didn't really like, but this was a huge bonding moment for everyone.
► We had an 8th grade graduation field trip. We would be out of town for a few days, and four people max would be in each hotel room (boys and girls separated, obviously). The whole trip was really fun, and I made a lot of good memories there. pacquiana can tell y'all about it, too.
► My cousins' families and my family went to a rented lake house. It was the first time we'd be staying under the same roof for several days. (We've had family vacations before, but we'd stay in different hotel rooms or something.) There were 15 people total. Us cousins had our own competitions and everything. I slept with my cousins for the first time since there was a bunk bed room that could sleep 8 people. We grew a lot closer than we've ever been.
► When I was in 5th grade, the week before Christmas was basically just a babysitting week since we had to go to school but we didn't have anything to learn. I was playing Duck Life 3 with two classmates. We were doing the climbing section. Suddenly, our duck glitched and climbed to the outside of the cliff, so there were no obstacles to avoid. We couldn't move the duck back to the inside, either. For some odd reason, there were coins on the outside, so our duck was earning money without us having to do anything. We died of laughter. After maybe 10 minutes, the duck fell for no reason, but I will never forget that moment.
► My sisters and I decided to walk to Kroger, buy some ice cream, walk to the park near our house, and walk home. No driving. It took us 15-ish minutes for us to get there. It was hot and humid. I didn't have a hat (thank goodness I had sunglasses). We bought ice cream. We walked to the park. We ate the ice cream. It was slightly melted, which was gross, but we ate it anyway. We threw our trash away and walked home. It was the first time we went anywhere without an adult, so it was fun. We bonded.
► One night, my older sister and I saw a weird creature near my computer. We didn't think much of it at first because we didn't know it was alive, so we let it be. I left my computer to do something, but when I returned, the weird creature was gone. That's when we realized it was a live, and we got nervous because it was as big as my thumb, and it was fat. A few moments later, my sister comes to get me because she spotted the creature in her room when she was about to go to bed. We observed it from a distance, and we didn't know what to do. We decided to try and kill it with some textbooks, but we were still scared we'd miss. Therefore, we got our younger sister to come and help us. She didn't want to look at it at first, but we dragged her into it. All three of us stared at the bug, not sure of what to do. We decided we should cover the bug with something (we decided on a dirty jacket from my sister's room) and then throw the (two heavy) textbooks onto it. My older sister was in charge of the jacket, and my younger sister and I were in charge of the textbooks. Unfortunately, my older missed with the jacket, and the bug fluttered its wings. We jumped back and screamed. It was loud enough to wake someone up from downstairs (spoiler: it did). We carefully retrieved the jacket back and decided that my older sister should not do the jacket since she sucks at throwing. We switched my older and younger sisters' jobs. Then came take two. My younger sister made it, so my older sister and I yeeted the textbooks on top of where the bug was. Then my older sister jumped onto the textbooks and continued to crush the bug underneath. After a few more stomps, my older sister backed away, and we stared at the scene. We laughed. Then our dad scared us by asking us what we were doing. We told him we killed a bug, and we asked if he could throw it away. He did so while grumbling. Everything settled down and we all got ready for bed. It was wild.
I definitely have other memories I'm fond of, but only six, am I right?
Thanks for tagging me, Ashley! I don't really know who else to tag, so I won't hehe.
