"ADIRA, PST. Adira wake up."
The young girl groaned and rolled over, "What do you want Wiccan?"
The dirty blonde boy fumbled with his hands, "I had another dream." he quietly muttered. Hearing this, Adira finally sat up and faced her brother.
"Was it bad?"
Wiccan looked up and gave her a firm nod. The girl sighed and leaned over to hug him. "It's just a dream, Wiccan. It can't hurt you."
"But it felt so real.... I saw you die." the boy whispered.
"Dreams are a place where your imagination runs wild. I'm not going anywhere, it's almost impossible to get rid of me. Go get some sleep. Mom and Dad will start to worry." Adira tried to comfort her brother.
Wiccan sighed and reluctantly agreed. He got up from his sisters bed and made his way over to his own. The twelve year old boy bundled himself back up in the blankets and closed his eyes.
The way the dream it felt, it didn't feel like it was just a figment from his imagination. It felt real.
..,..
"So you're sending them to school?" Hayley questioned the red headed Maximoff. Wanda opened up a cabinet to reach for three bowls as she responded, "Well yeah, I mean they need to learn something. Plus socializing is always good. It's something that actually helps in the real world."
"Good luck. I'm sure they'll have plenty to say there."
Wanda sighed, "I know not everyone likes school but it's not like they can just not learn something. Plus, Hope's school isn't that boring."
"More trouble is stirred. I got six calls from her school once." Hayley leaned against the door way.
"What for?"
"She lit a students textbooks on fire for speaking badly about us."
Wanda placed three cereal bowls onto the table with a side of cut up fruit. "Sounds like something a Mikaelson witch would." she smiled.
Just at that moment Wiccan and Adira walked right into the kitchen. "Coco puffs. My favorite." the boy cheered as he sat at the table.
"Morning mom. Aunt Hayley." Adira kindly greeted as she joined her brother.
"Hope's in the bathroom if you were wondering." Wiccan told his aunt.
"Thank you. I'll go rush her out of there then because if not she'll take hours." Hayley said as she walked out.
"You two ready for school?"
Wiccan spit out his cereal, "I'm sorry, school?"
Wanda crossed her arms as she looked at her children, "Yes, school. I'm taking you over to sign you two up. Hope will be with you two so it shouldn't be a problem."
"Mom, please tell me your joking." her son complained.
Adira looked towards her brother, "Did it look like she's kidding?" Wiccan frowned, "But I hate school. There's almost no point in going."
"Well, too bad. Adira, Hope has some clothes you can borrow and Wiccan we can find something for you. While you two are in school I will go out and get you two some new clothes." Wanda explained to the twins.
"Do I have to?" the boy continued to complain.
"Yes. You're father also agreed with me so don't even try it." Wanda quickly said knowing Wiccan was going to run to his dad.
The boy looked defeated, "Fine"
"Good. Your cousin will be down in a bit then we can go." the mother smiled.
Adira nodded and picked up her dishes to put them in the sink before walking into the living room where she ran into her father.
"Going somewhere?"
"I was going to get some things from Hope that she said I could borrow." Adira smiled up at the vampire.
"Not a fan of school?"
The girl furrowed her brows, "How did you know?"
"Call it a hunch or maybe your face says it all. May I ask why?" Kol questioned his daughter.
Adira shrugged, "There's always a few people who like to bother me and Wiccan. We never fit in at most places I guess you could say due to our... extended family. And here, well... there aren't other people or kids with powers like ours. Wiccan always got it worse, they always called him a freak when his force fields came out by accident, it's not his fault he's still learning to control it."
Kol frowned and kneeled down to his daughters height, "Their will always be people in this world that envy others. What you and your brother have can be seen as a gift or a curse, I believe they envy the magic you two hold. Listening to what others have to say never does you any good, believe me I would know. Ignore them and if anything I'll handle it." he winked at the girl.
Adira chuckled as Wanda joined them, "Maybe let me handle them. I doubt your father will have any mercy." the witch teased.
Kol stood back up and smiled at his fiance.
Adira ran upstairs to quickly changed as Hope walked down, "Ready?" Wanda looked towards the tribrid.
"Yup, Where's Wiccan?"
"Finishing up his breakfast."
Adira came back down after throwing on some clothes just as Wiccan came out of the kitchen.
"All right, I think we're good to go." Wanda smiled at the three children.
Adira and Wiccan ran over to their father engulfing him in a hug. Kol chuckled as he held them, "Listen to your mother and do well in school. I'll see you guys later."
The brunette girl felt her eyes watering up as a memory flashed into her mind.
"Momma." eleven year old Adira cried, her leg had been dislocated and Wiccan laid a few feet away from her with a loud ringing in his ears. Only thirty minutes ago they were having dinner as a family.
Wanda coughed up blood as she weakly laid on the ground. A piece of wood had flown into her abdomen and the witch couldn't hear over all the loud voices screaming in her mind.
"Doesn't this feel familiar, Wanda. How years ago you loomed over me and now look, I loom over your family. You have only yourself to blame."
Kol ripped the knife out of his stomach and winced as he did so.
The original looked over at his wife and felt tears starting to fall from his eyes, he glanced back at his children who looked terrified for their lives.
Laughter could be heard echoing, "And your children. I'll tell you right now I did not expect to see you two with kids, but then again, anything is possible isn't it? Wanda's one purpose was to feel agony and loneliness. I heard a mother loosing her children is a different type of pain. Would you like to find out Wanda?"
The woman held her hand out and the white oak stake appeared as she stalked towards the twins.
The original vampire looked down at his wedding ring placed on his hand and took a shaky breath.
Adira crawled over to her brother putting her body over his in hopes to protect him.
Wanda tried to stand but was loosing too much blood, her eye sight was beginning to blur. "The downfall of the Mikealson family finally begins."
Kol weakly stood up just as the woman stood over the twins, he vamp-sped quickly before his children... and took the white stake that penetrated his heart.
Adira and Wiccan looked up as they saw their father fall to the floor.
"NO!" Wanda screamed.
His body went limp before turning into nothing but fading ashes.
Adira shook her head as a few tears escaped her eyes, she wiped them away quickly and plastered on a smile. Wiccan knew exactly what his sister was thinking of, the boy didn't remember too much from that night since he couldn't really hear much and his eye sight was very blurry.
But he could very clearly remember the dying body of his father and Adira, she remembered it all. He knew she struggled with the memories but tried to act strong for him.
The twins turned towards their mother who had opened the front door, "Coming?"
They were going to find a way to change the future.
They had to.
