When Liam was drafted into the military, nobody was happy. Louis, Liam's husband, had found out three days prior that he was pregnant. Liams deployment is going to last 18 months. 18 months until he would see Liam again. 9 months until he would see the baby that Louis held in his stomach.
The day before Liam left, the couple went to the obstetrician to get their first sonogram. While they were there, they found out that Louis is about nine weeks pregnant with triplets. Liam leaves to serve in the military the next day. When he arrives at the base, he meets Zayn. Zayn had just recently gotten married to Harry, who was about 16 weeks pregnant with their first son. At 12 weeks pregnant, Louis meets Harry at a support group for husbands and wives of deployed men and women. Harry and Louis vow to stay together through their pregnancies. At 16 weeks, he and Harry go to a scan. While there, he finds out that he is having two boys and a girl. Harry gets his six month scan done and he finds out that his son has a twin sister.

How are you doing? I'm doing great and so are the babies. I went to my 16 week scan yesterday and I found out that we are having two boys and a girl Li! Isn't that amazing? I went to one of those groups we talked about and I met this amazing lad Harry. He's pregnant and just got married recently. Do you know Zayn Malik? is he in your troop? I have enclosed a picture of my latest scan and another of my bump. I'm getting huge already! I love and miss you.

At 22 weeks, Louis and Harry set up the nurseries into the new house. They moved in together with the hopes that Liam and Zayn would be okay living with each other when they get back from their deployment in Afghanistan. They painted the boys' room a pale blue, and the girls' a light green. Harry is just past 31 weeks and looks ready to pop.

When Harry hits 37 weeks, Harry's water breaks while he does early morning yoga with Louis. They quickly get to the hospital where Harry delivers two healthy babies named Finley Jay and Cassie Melissa.

Harry and Louis get home a few days later, marking Louis' 30th week. He goes to his last appointment and finds out that his body is already dilating and that he is going to start having Braxton Hicks contractions.

Out on the battlefield, Liam and Zayn fight for their lives. They were ambushed a few hours previous and many people on their side had died, including their lieutenant, Niall Horan. Liam and Zayn both get shot within seconds of each other. Liam first, being shot in the upper leg. Zayn a few seconds later in the upper arm. They were both taken by medics to the tent where Zayn lost his arm and Liam lost his leg. The two of them were flown home, too injured to fight in combat. Both of them were excited to see the ones they hadn't seen in nearly nine months.

When they arrived at the house, they went up the stairs and rang the bell. Harry quickly opens the door so that whoever was at the door didn't wake the babies, since they were sleeping. When he opens it, all he can do is sob and hold onto Zayn, scared to let go. Liam calls for Louis, shocking the heavily pregnant lad. He waddle quickly and hugs Liam, kissing him for all he's worth.

They all go inside, letting Zayn get a view of the little boy and the baby girl he didn't know he had. The wonderful moment was followed by a surprised squeak from the heavily pregnant lad saying, "I think my water just broke!" And indeed it had.

They rushed to the hospital where Louis safely delivered his triplets: Oliver James, Jackson Clarke, and Macey Gaines.

Louis soon became aware of Liam's missing leg, but he knows that they can get through the many bumps along the way.
