too many questions

but I remember that day perfectly
he got me to laugh

I didn't know how I sounded like

he said that my smile
was rainbows after a sunny storm

I said that it was
his entire existance

and he got so embarrassed

I remember
him ruffling my hair

I remember
him and I racing like little kids

I remember
asking him why he loved me

and getting something akin
to wedding vows as his answer

at least I'm glad
that I reciprocated my feelings fully

I wish I did it more
before he left forever.
