CASSANDRA ROLLS HER EYES AS SHE GOT ELIJAH'S VOICEMAIL AGAIN, her jaw clenching. She didn't know why Elijah had suddenly up and left her but she was not okay with just being left like that. She was currently at the stupid town building exercise or whatever it was called, Cassandra didn't care enough to listen to what Elena had told her it was.
"Elijah, it's me again." She says with a sigh as she glances around at the surrounding area. "Look, I really need to tell you something that happened yesterday. You left before I could say it. It's an emergency." Cassandra tells her as she purses her lips, her eyes moving to Stefan who was making his way over towards her. "Which reminds me to add, what was wrong? You never just up and leave like that. Call me back when you can." She finishes quickly as she hangs up the phone, putting it in her pocket as Stefan stops in front of her.
"You're here?" He asks as he raises an eyebrow at her. Stefan had only caught the last of her conversation so he didn't have anything to go on.
"I'm not helping, just chaperoning your girlfriend." Cassandra tells him with a fake smile before brushing past him, beginning to walk away. Stefan freezes for a second before jogging after her.
"What?" He asks, trying to deny that him and Elena were still together. If they were right and she was working with Katherine, they just got busted.
"I'm not dumb, I know you're faking. I know how to fake a fight." Cassandra states with a roll of her eyes as she tries to walk away from him. Stefan smirks at the revelation, Cassandra not knowing that she slipped up about Mason and he knew if he kept pushing, she would reveal something about Katherine.
"Please don't tell anyone. Katherine thinks we're broken up." Stefan pleads as he watches confusion form on the girls face. Maybe she didn't know as much of Katherine's plan as they thought.
"Why would she care?" Cassandra asks bluntly, pushing people out of her way. Stefan sighs as he grabs her arm, pulling her away to a path where she would stop pushing people over.
"Because she said she'd hurt someone if we didn't." He answers her with a frown, Cassandra nodding her head blankly. She knew Katherine would still want to torment the group but threatening people's lives was not the way to go.
"Oh. Intense. Why were you with Katherine?" Cassandra asks as she kicks the dirt as they keep walking along the path together.
"How did you know I was?" Stefan questions, not thinking that Damon would ever want to fill her in again so it was a mystery who told her.
"Elena likes to talk to me. A lot." Cassandra admits, her phone practically blowing up every night because Elena does not know what backing off means. It also seems that Stefan and Damon haven't been including her in their conspiracies. "Which reminds me, I thought I told you to tell her, to back off." She says with a fake smile on her face. Stefan nods his head, remembering her telling him that but it seemed Elena didn't take the hint at all.
"I did. But shes persistent." Stefan says with a chuckle but Cassandra didn't find it funny in the slightest. She felt the anger build up inside of her again, hating when people did not listen to her.
"That's why I liked Katherine better. At least she knew when to back off." She mutters as she glances down at her nails, feeling bored of the conversation already. Stefan glances down at her, his eyes moving away from his girlfriend who was watching the encounter.
"Katherine was afraid of you?" He asks as his eyebrows furrow thinking that they were best friends. Stefan didn't know why Katherine would be afraid of her, even though she's older.
"She still is. Trust me. She doesn't take my threats lightly." Cassandra says in a harsh tone, glaring up at him making Stefan clear his throat, avoiding her gaze before he starts to talk again.
"Katherine was running from someone in 1864. Know anything about it?" Stefan questions as he crosses his arms. Cassandra only keeps walking as she lets out a sigh, knowing he wouldn't stop if she didn't give him something to go on.
"Katherine and I kept secrets from each other. Even if we were close." Cassandra admits as she squints her eyes a little, trying to find out what his game was. Asking about Katherine was the first sign that something was up. She knew they were doubting her. "Why are you asking me so many questions?" She asks as she squints her eyes at the younger Salvatore brother. Stefan walks along side the girl as she glances up at him suspiciously.
"The day with Katherine just kind of brought me into the past." Stefan says as he shrugs his shoulders, an innocent smile on his face.
"Well stop." Cassandra snaps at him as she stops in front of him, planting her palm on his chest. Stefan stops walking, looking down at the raven haired girl who's eyes were fiery with anger. "You are really starting to piss me off." She says while circling around him, a evil smirk forming on her lips as she puts her arm on his shoulder, leaning against him. "She looks rather tasty." Cassandra whispers into his ear as she gestures to the blonde woman walking past them. She vamp speeds in front of the girl, surprising her.
"Oh! I didn't see you there." The girl apologizes with a smile on her face. Stefan gives Cassandra a warning look but she only smirks back at him.
"Don't move. Don't scream." Cassandra compels before she digs her fangs into the woman's neck. Stefan clenches his jaw as he watched the vampire drain the girl of almost all of her blood.
"Stop, let her go." Stefan demands as he stares at the feeding vampire. Cassandra retracts her fangs, blood dripping down her chin. She smiles, moaning at the taste before her eyes meet his.
"Okay." She shrugs before snapping the girls neck, letting her fall to the ground. Stefan's eyes widen as he looks down at the body. He glances back up at the girl who only laughs as she wipes the blood from her mouth, sucking it off. "Stop with the questions or I will kill someone close to you. Don't test me." She sneers, a deadly glare set on her face. Stefan had never seen the girl this angry, sure he had seen her rage but this way different. He had heard of her after he turned, people told him she was the sweetest angel. At least until some guy changed that about her. Stefan had a feeling that this guy had something to do with Cassandra's master plan.
"Stefan, can I talk to you for a minute?" Elena asks but she gasps when she notices the dead body in front of Cassandra. She had never seen the girl kill anyone before.
"It's fine. We were done anyways." Cassandra says coldly as she walks away from the couple. Elena stares at Stefan in shock as he only looks at the body of the girl that he cost her life.
Cassandra wanders over to Mason who was hanging by the lemonade booth, drinking from the cup. He notices the expression on her face as she grabs a wooden plank before breaking it in half. "Woah, why are you angry?" He asks as he stares at the girl with an amused expression.
"Stefan was asking too many questions." She tells him with a scowl on her face. Mason raises his eyebrows at her before his eyes land on something on her lip.
"You've got some blood.." Mason says, trailing off as he wiped the blood on her lip with his thumb. Cassandra licks it off, a smile on her face.
"I just gave him a warning." She says innocently, giggling as she sees the smile form on Mason's face as he laughs. He wasn't really affected by the people she killed as long as she didn't go on a full on spree.
"Don't worry, I'm dealing with it." Mason tells her as he glances over at the Salvatore brothers who were talking very quietly, probably discussing Cassandra's latest meal.
"What do you mean?" She asks curiously but he only points to his ears. Cassandra understands as she lets out a sigh. She glances around, seeing lemonade on the table in front of her. Picking up a cup, she brings it to her lips.
"Oh, don't drink that." Mason stops her as the liquid was about to enter her mouth. Cassandra stares at him for a moment before sniffing the cup, a familiar toxic scent filling her.
"Vervain?" She asks quietly and he only nods at her. Cassandra huffs as she places the lemonade back down before connecting their lips. Mason kisses back as he wraps his arms around her waist. Cassandra smiles as she wraps her around her neck.
"Hello, Mason. Sexy psycho." Damon says as he stops in front of them. Cassandra sighs as their kiss ends, turning her head to look at the vampire. Cassandra only stares at him, unwrapping her arms from Mason as she was annoyed by his constant name calling.
"That's what you're calling me now?" Cassandra asks bluntly as she crosses her arms, glancing at Mason who looked ready to kill Damon. Not that she would stop him.
"It suits you." Damon smirks down at her as Mason rolls his eyes at the vampire. Cassandra only lets out a humorless laugh as she takes a step forward.
"Call me it again and I will take out your tongue and make you eat it." Cassandra threatens with a sweet smile as Damon glares at her. He switches his eyes over to Mason.
"Working hard." He says with a squint of his eyes. Mason gives him a fake smile as he puts his arm around Cassandra.
"Doing my part. And Cassie's apparently." He jokes as he bumps Cassandra, putting a smile on her face.
"I heard you talked to Stefan." Damon points out as he moves closer to the couple. Mason nods, drinking more of the lemonade out of his cup.
"Nice guy." He replies with a shrug as Damon puts on a tight smile, tilting his head.
"Yeah, a lot nicer than me." Damon states as Cassandra breaks another wooden plank catching his attention. She only smiles as she keeps breaking it apart.
"Nice is overrated." Mason tells him as his eyes look over the vampire suspiciously, wondering what his intentions were.
"That's what I think. Probably why you're into this one." He suggests with a smirk as he gestures to the older vampire. Mason only rolls his eyes, getting annoyed by Damon.
"I'm nice when I want to be. I just don't like you." Cassandra says with a shrug as she fake smiles at him. Damon only sighs as he looks at her.
"You were nice to me in 1864." Damon playfully pouts as he kicks her foot making her glare at him. Cassandra squints her eyes, ready to rip his head right off.
"Again, doesnt mean I like you now." She scoffs as she crosses her arms. If the Salvatores kept pissing her off, once she got the moonstone she would take Elena and leave. Maybe killing them in the process so they don't follow her to save their precious girlfriend.
"You two knew each other?" Mason asks as he furrows his eyebrows. Cassandra rolls her eyes at Damon's tactics as she just blankly stares at the vampire.
"Extremely well." Damon says in a knowing tone as he smirks at the angry expression that takes over Masons face. It didn't take a genius to put two and two together. Mason glances down at his girlfriend who didn't look like the revelation affected her.
"He was human. I was hungry." Cassandra states with no emotion as she throws the wood she had been playing with aside. Damon rolls his eyes as he groans.
"Stop being so hostile." He tells her which only makes her raise her eyebrows at him. She lets a smirk form on her face as she licks her lips
"Human blood bag." She sing songs as she rests her head on Maso'ns shoulder. Damon only mimicks her as he responds.
"Angry vampire psycho." He says with a smirk on his lips. Cassandra scoffs as she glares at him.
"Damon. Don't push me." Cassandra warns as she stares at him threatingly.
"You have a good day, Damon." Mason tells him before pulling Cassandra past him and away from mainly everyone who was around. "When were you gonna tell me about your history?" Mason asks with a scoff as he turns his head to look back at Damon who was wiggling his fingers at him with a smirk playing on his face.
"If it was important, I would have." She tells him with a roll of her eyes. She didn't care if Mason was hurt because she slept with Damon, it's not like they were going to be together for much longer but it made her feel sadness when she saw his face after he found out the news.
"You slept with Damon." Mason says, his facial expression showing disgust now knowing that one of his enemies had slept with his girlfriend. Maybe multiple times.
"I slept with a lot of people." Cassandra corrects with a sigh as she looks up at him. Mason couldn't help but feel jealous, even though Cassandra looked like she wanted to kill Damon. "Plus, human blood bag." She whispers causing him to chuckle before he goes off to do whatever he had planned. Cassandra was mad that he didn't tell her but she probably would mess it up.Β She sighs, looking around at the towns people before vamp speeding off waiting for a phone call back from a certain original.
β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’Β°β’
WALKING INTO THE SALVATORE BOARDING HOUSE, Cassandra was a bit suspicious at the text she had recieved from Stefan asking for a truce. She wasn't dumb, she knew they would try something. They would ultimately fail since she was older and stronger than both of them. Cassandra glances around, seeing no one in sight as she walked into the parlor. She stops abruptly as she hears slight movement coming from her right.
Turning quickly, she catches the stake that was flying towards her heart. A deadly glare forms on her face as she watches Damon charge at her. She grabs his arm, twisting it before throwing him at the wall. Stefan comes up behind her, grabbing her roughly as he raises a stake. Cassandra elbows him in the stomach before vamp speeding, getting behind him as she shoves him hard on the back causing him to go flying across the room. Damon and Stefan both get up, speeding at her at the same time but she only grabs them by their necks, lifting them off of the ground.
"I'm stronger than you boys." She hisses, glaring daggers at them as they struggle to breath due to her tight grip on them. Suddenly, a stake is shot into her stomach causing her to let out a pained noise as she falls to her knees, dropping the Salvatore's in the process. They both fall to the floor, coughing violently as they try and catch their breath. Cassandra groans as she pulls the stake from her stomach, moving her head up only to be met with Elena who was holding a crossbow, scared out of her mind.
Stefan was about to charge for Cassandra again when she speeds over to Elena, grabbing her and turning her so they are facing the brothers who's faces both pale. "Don't be stupid." Cassandra warns them as she wraps her arm around Elena's neck, her other hand placing on the girls head at just the right position to be able to snap her neck and kill her. Stefan and Damon both stay exactly where they are, knowing any attempt to free Elena would fail.
"Stop. Don't hurt her." Stefan pleads as he stares at the woman who had the love of his life trapped, ready to snap her neck at any sign of movement.
"I don't want to. You guys attacked me." Cassandra points out with a raised eyebrow as she states the obvious. They had attacked her, did they seriously believe they could take her and that she wouldn't retaliate against them?
"Because you're lying to us." Stefan shouts as he connects eyes with Elena who pleads with her eyes to get her out of the position she was in. Of course they would risk their lives to save hers even if it cost them everything. Cassandra was somewhat jealous of what Elena had since she once had that with Klaus, he would do anything for her and would save her from any danger. Elijah and Klaus would come to her rescue everytime. That was gone now. It seemed they were kill first, ask later since they were going to kill her just for lying. Cassandra would've thought it would be because she killed an innocent in front of Stefan but she wouldn't put it behind them. They would kill anyone for even threatening Elena.
"You're gonna have to be a bit more specific." Cassandra says acting clueless knowingly provoking them as she kept her arm around Elena's neck.Β Elena tries to fight back but it was no use since the vampire was even stronger than Stefan and Damon combined.
"Mason. Katherine. You knew Mason was a werewolf the whole time and you knew what he was up to today. That's why you didn't save us." Damon accuses as he scopes out a way to get Elena back without resulting in anyone's death. Cassandra only rolls her eyes as she stares at the boys.
"I wasn't going to out myself." She says, tightening her grip on Elena's neck making the girl cough, trying to breathe. The Salvatore's both glare at the girl who was able to snap Elena's neck, neither of the brothers knowing that she wouldnt because Cassandra needed her alive.
"You could've easily killed the deputy's! And with Katherine, you honestly expect us to believe you didn't know about her plan." Damon hisses at her causing Cassandra to toss Elena over to Stefan who caught her, holding her closely.
"Because I didn't!" Cassandra yells at him in frustration, gripping her hair. Damon backs up a little as he stares at her, squinting his eyes a little. "I didn't know about her plan to fake her death. But I did know she was still alive afterwards." She admits with a sigh, feeling good to get that off of her chest. One less thing to worry about slipping out unexpectedly.
"Are you still friends with her?" Stefan questions with curiousity as he raises an eyebrow at her. Cassandra only glances down at the floor, answering the question without even talking.
"God, I knew it." Damon scoffs as he throws his hands up, grabbing his bottle of bourbon because he was in need of a serious drink.
"So you knew about Caroline? You let Katherine kill her." Elena sneers, glaring at Cassandra who shakes her head at the accusation. She knew Elena cared dearly for her friend but she shouldn't go around accusing people of things.
"I didn't know about her turning Caroline until you guys told me, I swear. If I did I would never have let it happen." Cassandra tells them truthfully, hating how Katherine had even thought about hurting the blonde. If she had known before hand, she would have been Caroline's personal bodyguard.
"And we are supposed to believe you?" Damon asks with a roll of his eyes, shaking his finger at her. Stefan stepped in front of his brother to prevent him from doing anything stupid
"You probably won't but I am telling the truth. I would never have let Katherine make Caroline a vampire against her will." Cassandra states honeslty with a frown evident on her lips. Elena stared at the girl, trying to see if she was telling the truth. "It's the same way I was turned, I would never wish that upon anyone." She adds as she glances down at the ground. Elena crosses her arms, taking a brave step forward towards the girl who had her in a neck hold not moments ago.
"Why still help her?" Elena asks with a scoff, trying to find something good in the girl so she can put her trust in her.
"I told her to back off. Obviously that didn't happen. Look, Katherine is afraid of me. She knows I am older and stronger. I will make sure she knows to stop tormenting Caroline. If she doesn't listen, it's her funeral." Cassandra explains as she looks at all of them. Stefan exchanges glances with his brother and Elena, all wondering the same question.
"You would kill her?" Stefan asks, somewhat not believing a word coming out of her mouth. Cassandra sighs as she shrugs her shoulders.
"I've thought about it for a while. The only reason I haven't is because I needed her help with something. But if that's what it takes to stop her, I guess." She explains to them as she thinks about hers and Katherine's relationship. It had been long, stressful, and a pain in her ass but if she was the reason Klaus found them, she would gladly drive a stake through her heart herself.
"How do you know Katherine?" Damon asks as he leans forward, wanting to know how they met since Katherine was a human when they met, at least that's what Cassandra had told them. They honestly didn't know if any of what she was saying was the truth.
"You said you knew her when she was human?" Elena asks with furrowed eyebrows, finding it hard to even think of Katherine as being human because in the short period of being in Mystic Falls she has done so many terrible things.
"We met in her village. Her mother allowed me to stay with them. We became close, very close." Cassandra explains with a nod, as she remembered seeing the human girl hurt after having a fall and taking her back to her home where her mother had offered shelter from the impending weather.
It was the year 1490 when Cassandra found herself in a tiny village in Bulgaria, having told Klaus that she had to meet an old friend. He of course had been persistent, wanting to accompany her on her travels but she got him to stay where he was needed. She had visited her witch friend in search for the moonstone but it was no luck. Cassandra let's out a sigh as she glances around for a nice family to stay with. She didn't like compelling herself a place to stay so she usually just asked around to see if anyone would take her in for the night.
The smell of blood overtakes her senses as she tries to control herself from shifting. Her eyebrows furrow as she looks around, trying to see where it was coming from. Noticing a girl slumped over next to a haybale, Cassandra rushes over to help her.
"Are you hurt?" She asks concerned as she tried to check the girl out, seeing for the injury. Cassandra had controlled her bloodlust thanks to the help of Klaus and his family. They weren't exactly the best to learn from seeing as they killed many, but it helped her since she did not like to kill.
"It is my side, I seem to have scratched it." Katherine informs her with a frown as she shows the gash evident on her left side. Cassandra puts her hands next to it but something causes her to stop all of a sudden.
"You are pregnant." She questions the young girl who glances up at her. Cassandra could feel the very obvious baby bump as she stared at the gash. Katherine nods her head, shame overwashing her as everyone had scolded her for it.
"It is not exactly the most exciting thing for my family." Katherine admits with a laugh although it was empty. Cassandra sighs, not seeing how a family could turn their backs on one of their own just because of a unborn child.
"Don't be afraid" Cassandra compels Katherine before biting into her wrist and pressing it to the girls lips. Katherine glances at her confused but drinks it nonetheless, her wound healing right afterwards.
"What did you do?" Katherine asks in astonishment as she notices her wound was no longer there, there was only dried up blood.
"I have healed your wound." Cassandra answers her with a small smile. Katherine glances up at her, pure shock and admiration in her eyes.
"Are you an angel?" The girl asks with a smile on her face causing Cassandras stomach to drop at the comment. She only puts on a fake face as she shakes her head.
"Far from it, darling." Cassandra states as she tries to dust off the girls dress that was full of hay from behind her.
"I will keep your secret, you must tell me." Katherine begs as she grabs a hold of the girls hand. Cassandra glances at her, seeing the desperate look in her eyes. She knew that she could always compel her if she tried to say anything to anyone.
"I am a vampire." She answers hesitantly causing the girl to gasp but she did not look in the slightest bit scared.
"You do not look like a monster." Katherine admits truthfully as her eyebrows furrow, taking a look over her, not seeing how an innocent girl could be a supernatural creature.
"Looks can be deceiving." Cassandra informs her with a tight smile before standing up, holding out her hand for Katherine to take. "I will walk you back to your home." She says waiting for Katherine who was taking a little break since her baby was kicking her.
"Do you have a place to stay? There is terrible weather coming, our neighbor told us." Katherine informs her with furrowed eyebrows, tilting her head as she was still crouched down.
"I do not mean to be a bother." Cassandra denies but she was glad she didnt have to ask around for hours since a lot of people were not willing to take in a stranger.
"You have healed me. I owe you one." Katherine giggles causing Cassandra to playfully roll her eyes at the girls antics to get her to stay. Neither girls knowing the major effect they would have on each other in the years to come.
"As long as it is okay with your parents." Cassandra says with a small smile not wanting to make matters worse with her family by staying where she is not wanted. "Do you have a name for your baby yet?" She asks as she helps the girl stand up, Katherine breathing heavily since she did have a an extra couple pounds attached to her.
"Not a boy name quite yet but if it is a girl, Nadia." Katherine answers her with a nod, starting to walk next to her as her hands rest on her pregnant belly. She was seven months along and feared for her labor, knowing her father wasnt happy with her at all.
"That is quite beautiful." Cassandra assures her with a slight gasp, loving the sound of the name. Katherine was a beautiful woman and she would most likely have a beautiful baby. That is if her family doesn't interfere. "My name is Cassandra." She introduced as she gives the girl her hand to shake. Katherine accepts it as she looks at the raven haired girl. Cassandra thought she recognized the girls face but she couldn't quite place it. She would have to ask Nik when she had returned back to him.
"Katerina." The brunette responds with a bright smile as she links her arm with Cassandra, pulling her through the village and towards her home which years later would be the scene of a large slaughter, unbeknownst to the two girls.
"Did you turn her?" Elena questions as she raises an eyebrow. She also wanted to know if Elena had turned anyone over the course of her life because the only one they seemed to know from her past was Katherine.
"No, that wasn't me." She replies with a defeated expression, wanting to just leave but she had to answer at least some of their questions to get them off of her back.
"Why is she in Mystic falls, who is she running from?" Stefan asks curiously, it was the big question they all wanted to know and could use as leverage to get her out of town.
"I can't tell you that yet." Cassie tells them as a sigh leaves her lips. She knew in due time that Elijah would figure everything out and come to make a deal with Elena so until then she would keep her mouth shut. Especially since someone could get word back to Klaus if one of them decided to talk about her in public.
"Why not?" Damon asks, getting annoyed with the mind games. He had enough with the lies especially when it had something to do with a bigger plan.
"I promise, I will explain everything eventually. I just need you to trust me." Cassandra pleads as she frowns at the trio, hoping they would at least give her a little more time before she told them her story.
"Trust you? You're kidding me, right?" Damon scoffs like it was the most insane thing to do ever which ultimately made Cassandra roll her eyes at the man's lack of trust. Not that she blamed him after what Katherine did to him.
"Big picture is I will not let anything happen to Elena." Cassandra promises as she raises her eyebrows at the Salvatores. Stefan sighs as he knew the one thing Cassandra wouldn't do is hurt Elena, he didn't know why he believed her but he did.
"Okay, we'll trust you." Stefan tells her as Damon gave him a pointed look but it was just ignored. Elena smiles lightly at the older vampire who squints at her, knowing the girl wanted something or wanted to know something.
"How did you turn?" Elena asks hesitantly, wanting to know how she became what she was. Cassandra sighs as she pours herself a glass of bourbon, staring at the glass for a moment.
"I trusted a woman, she was like family. The only family I had since my mother died giving birth and my father was a no good drunk." She admits as she clenches her jaw for a moment, taking a deep breath. Cassandra turns around to face the trio who was staring at her,Β half waiting for her to continue but she could see the pity on their faces. "Then she stabbed me in the back, literally." She lets out a bland laugh, feeling the tears prickle in her eyes as she shakes her head. Cassandra downs her drink as she sniffles. Elena frowns, pure sadness taking over her as she stared at the girl. Her life was taken away from her, she never wanted to become a vampire.
"She took that choice away from you? She just killed you?" Elena asks, feeling tears fill her eyes as she glanced at the raven haired girl. Cassandra nods her head slowly as she wipes the tears that had fallen from her eyes. Damon and Stefan couldn't help but feel bad for pestering the girl now. They knew all about having no choice in dying since they were both shot and killed.
"What did you do about it?" Damon asks curiously as he tilted his head watching as she filled her glass again.
"I ripped out her heart." Cassandra states blankly like it was nothing but truthfully she had blocked that part of her life out for so long that she felt no emotions for Abigail anymore. "I trusted her with my life and she betrayed me. So I stabbed her in the back just like she did to me." She explains with a sadistic smile on her face, remembering how good it felt to watch the fear in Abigail's eyes as she had her hand wrapped around her heart. Elena frowns now realizing why the girl felt bad for Caroline.
"I'm so sorry." She apologizes sincerely and Cassandra could tell she meant it. Cassandra only nods lightly, acknowledging her words but she only turns away from the brunette. "How did you meet Katherine? Why are you still with her?" Elena asks, wanting to know more about her life with Katherine since Stefan told her a little about how she visited in 1864. Cassandra was furious with how many questions Elena wanted to ask her but she kept her calm, letting the alcohol down her throat since it seemed to do the trick.
"Because she owes me her life." She answers with a sigh, deciding to not lie about it. It's not like they could do much with the information anyways so it didn't hurt her to say it.
"Owes you her life?" Stefan asks with furrowed eyebrows as Katherine Pierce never once thought about anyone but herself. They didn't understand how Katherine could possibly owe her life to Cassandra when all has done is bring torment everywhere she went.
"Because I saved hers. From her certain death." Cassandra states watching as they all look at her in shock. She closes her eyes for a moment before finishing off her drink and waving them goodbye. They knew better than to stop her, especially when she just started to be honest with them. But if they screwed up one thing, she would be sure to end their lives.

THE DOOR TO HER PASSENGER SIDE FINALLY OPENED, after an hour of waiting for her werewolf boyfriend. She had been getting impatient, especially since he had made no progress whatsoever in finding the moonstone. She leans her head to the side as Mason gets in the car, a heavy sigh leaving his lips as he glances at the vampire who had an expectant look on her face. "I've been waiting." Cassandra tells him as he closes the passenger door. She sighs, watching him as he looked out the front window of the car. She nudges his arm gaining his attention. "What was that stunt you pulled today with Stefan and Damon?" She questions as she taps on the wheel. Mason only shrugs his shoulders as he leans over to her but she pulls away from him.
"I thought you'd be happy about that." He admits with a confused expression on his face as he watches her scoff. Cassandra let's her nails dig into her palms trying to calm her anger.
"Not when it brought up more questions." She sneers before controlling herself, taking a deep breath. Mason frowns not liking he made her mad by going after the Salvatore brothers. "They don't trust me, Mason. And I need them to." Cassandra tells him as she clenches her jaw. He only squints his eyes, trying to figure her out. Even after all these months together, he still can't tell when she's hiding something.
"Why? What is so important?" Mason asks as he furrows his eyebrows. Cassandra only leans her head back as she shakes her head, letting her eyes close for a moment.
"I just need you to find the moonstone." She tells him with a sigh as she rubs her face. She suddenly freezes when she notices the smile growing on Masons face. "You got it?" Cassandra asks, a gasp leaving her lips as he only laughs nodding his head at her obvious happiness.
"I got it." Mason assures her causing a bright smile to form on Cassandra's face. She immediately connects their lips roughly, moving them in sync as a moan slips from her mouth. Mason grabs the belt loops on her pants and tugs her over so she is straddling him. Cassandra continues to kiss him as her hands rake down his torso, heavy pants leaving the both of them. She unbuckles his belt as both of their shirts get torn open. She smirks at him before leaving kisses down his torso, pulling the zipper down. Mason closes his eyes as his hand moves to grip her hair, pulling it into a makeshift pony tail. Grunts leave his lips as she works her magic, giggling at the effect she had on him.
A sudden knock at the window caused the girl to jump, the couple looking over only to see Elijah standing outside the car. Mason clears his throat as he covers himself up before rolling down the window. Cassandra couldn't help the blush that appeared on her cheeks but it was immediately replaced with the anger she felt when she looked at the man.
"Can we help you?" Mason asks in a rude voice, wondering why a guy in a suit was knocking on the car window in the middle of the night. Elijah only makes eye contact with Cassandra who wipes her lips, a blank expression on her face.
"Sorry to interrupt." Elijah apologizes as his jaw clenches at the sight infront of him. Mason only stares at him curiously wondering what the guy wanted with either of them. "But I need to speak to Cassandra." He says as he gestured to the raven haired vampire who was currently residing in the werewolves laps, her shirt torn open revealing her black lace bra. Elijah was polite and didn't look even if he had seen it before.
"You know this guy?" Mason asks with furrowed eyebrows, glancing between the two vampires. Cassandra only glares at the man outside the window. Elijah kept a neutral face but deep down inside he felt jealous that another man was touching her and he felt ashamed for leaving her the way he did last night. He could see the anger radiating off of her so he knew he was in for a lecture but he wanted to make things right and make sure things were okay since she had called him saying something was urgent that she needed to tell him.
And as much as she hated the man right now, she couldn't deny the part of her heart that melted every single time she stared into his eyes.
