Mina, I'm sorry I'm overprotective..

I awoke in the middle of the night from a phone call. I was snuggled up with my stuffed animal when my alarm clock began to ring. I rolled over and looked at my alarm clock. 'Who calls at this hour?' I reached for my phone when the call stopped. I guess I was too late to answer. I unlocked my phone and went to my recent calls. Mina had called me five times. 'It must be important if she called this many times.' I redialed her phone number only to hear a faint crying voice on the other end. "Hello Y/N?" A wail cried out, "I've been trying to call you for twenty minutes!" "I'm sorry Mina I was asleep" I yawned as I replied. I heard a sigh making me feel guilty. "It's fine I just need to vent to someone right now. Do you mind?" I took a deep breath as I replied "No." I heard her position herself on her bed, take a deep breath, and start to vent.

"Yesterday I  was walking to the store... and.. I saw my ex Chaeyoung." Oh, how I hate Chaeyoung. She broke Mina's heart twice and led her on, I wish death on her. But right now, It's not about me it's about Mina. "And she sorta-" "Sorta what?" I interrupted her sounding pissed. "Y/N calm down, I haven't even told ten percent of the story and you're already upset." I roll my eyes and say "Yeah, because Chaeyoung is a bitch and hurt you." She giggles and responds  "Anyways, let me continue. Chaeyoung sorta bumped into me making me trip backwards into an old lady. I felt so embarrassed and sorrowful that I immediately helped her up and even walked her to her vehicle." "She pushed you??" I said sternly. "I am gonna hurt her." "Y/N, again calm down, you're not making the situation any better." She told me politely. I don't understand how she can be so calm knowing that her ex publicly disrespected her.

"I am sorry Mina but I can't sit hear and listen to you being disrespected." "I understand Y/N, but there is nothing we can do for now, just hear me out." "I'll try but if I hear one more thing about her touching you I will go crazy." Mina laughs and I smile hearing it. "Your laugh is so beautiful," I tell her. She stops laughing. "Did I say something wrong?" I ask with worry. "No. I just wasn't expecting you to compliment me." "Well I always want to compliment you, but you recently got out of that relationship and I don't want to rush things." "Rush things? What do you mean?" I noticed I let my feelings slip through and I quickly tried to cover up. "Like rush you to accept my compliments.." I laughed nervously trying to convince her. "Okay.. well, I don't mind them from you." "Just finish your story, Mina." I said a little irritated. "Okay don't rush me." "My bad." "She asked for us to get back together, which I told her no." "Good, because if you said yes I would hurt you and her." "Y/NN, I didn't say anything when you went back to Tzuyu." "I mean who wouldn't??  Tzuyu is a very attractive young lady, plus she came on me first you know I can't resist that." I smirked while telling her. "It's called having self-control, Y/N." "That is something I don't have." I giggled while responding.

I looked outside my window again noticing the rising sun. "Mina it's seven in the morning now, we've been talking for hours aren't you tired?" I yawned. "No, I enjoy talking to you. Plus I'm off today." "Lucky, I still have work." I scoff with jealousy. "Damn Y/N, I feel a little bad." She replied sounding remorseful. "I'm gonna go get ready, I'll stay on the phone with you though." "You don't have to." "But I want to." I got up and set my phone on my dresser. I opened the top drawer and got my undergarments out. 'Geez, my room is mad dirty' I thought to myself. I walked towards my bathroom and I slipped. "What the fuck!" I yell as I look down to see what I stepped on. It was underwear, used underwear. "Okay, that's disgusting." I picked it up and brought it with me into the bathroom. "Y/N you okay??" I heard Mina from my phone. "Yeah, I'm okay just a minor fall that's all." "Just making sure, you know I'll come over there in a quickie." "I know I'm fine I promise." I smile knowing she cares for me deeply. "You're so caring Mina, I love that about you". I told her earning a giggle. "Thank you Y/N that means a lot to me." 'Should I tell her? I don't want to seem selfish but it's hard keeping this feeling in.' I took a deep breath and decided to tell her.  "Mina, can I tell you something," I asked nervously. "Of course Y/N." She told me cheerfully. "I-I um.." I stuttered. 'Jesus Christ Y/N, just say it.' "I love you, Mina," I told her.

It went silent for a while. I grabbed the phone and hung up. 'I think I fucked up. She just got out of a relationship! WHY WOULD I CONFESS? I'm so fucking stupid.' I got up and left my room. My eyes began to tear up, thinking the worst. I went downstairs to see my roommate, Nayeon. "Y/N, what's wrong with you? Need a beer?" She asked offering me her can. "No thanks, I'd rather drink actual water." She shrugged and said, "Suit yourself". I rubbed my eyes and headed towards the fridge. "By the way Y/N," Nayeon said gaining my attention. "Mina wants to come over today, it's about feelings." I stopped in my tracks as I heard that. I knew exactly what it meant.
