She was sitting on bed cross-legged. One hand clasping a book. While the other hand moving dramatically. Eyes twinkling whenever she reads from the book. And eyes expressing much more than her words.

Kartik was adoring her who was busy in explaining the textbook to him. Her hair cascading down her back. While few hair strands moving here and there wildly whenever the wind rushes through them from the open window.

"So did you understand?" She asked after explaining same paragraph again and again.

"Uh..oh ...y..yes!" Kartik lied umpteenth time as he was again busy adoring her that he couldn't understand a single word she spoke. Again.

She sighed. "Kartik!" She said softly taking his hand. "If you won't pay attention then how will you get pass. How will you score good marks. In lectures you weren't paying attention and now when I am explaining to you. Don't know where your mind is. What happened?" She asked ever so softly like a mother asking his child the reason of lack of concentration in studies. Trying to explain him.

He frowned. now what to reply to his boring girl who is busy in studying the textbook while he is busy studying her. Yup! Quite busy.

"You happened!" He said without giving it a second thought.

"What?"she asked bewildered.

"Nothing!" He said averting his gaze and cursing himself under his breath.

Naira cupped his face and turned his face to hers making him to look at her. She wanted to know the reason. She made him understand same paragraph for 4th time and now she was worried why is he not able to concentrate on it.

"Tell me!" She demanded.

He sighed seeing determination in her eyes to know why wasn't he paying attention.

"When professor was explaining. I just glanced at your way once. Just once" but then I couldn't help but adore you. You were looking sho cute." He said pulling her cheeks smiling goofily.

"You were looking sho cute when you were Nipping at the top of your pen. And writing notes. And I just couldn't take off my eyes when you smiled whenever you understood the things told like you won something. That smile. That smile was so beautiful. You tell me how could I miss such a beautiful sight?" He asked pouting like a child caressing her cheeks with his thumb.

"And now also you are looking sho cute. See it's not my fault. I am trying my best to concentrate but you are not letting me by being this cute." He complained.

And listening to him she blushed hard. She took off her hands from his Face and looked towards the walls. Her hair successfully hiding her flaming cheeks. She noticed the greyish wallpaper on walls which was surprisingly looking fascinating. Her eyes moved to his cupboard all the way not looking at him.

Why is he doing this? Making her flustered every now and then. She bit her lower lip as his words ranged in her mind. He is making her all shy and she can't help but be that.

He tucked her hair strands behind her ears exposing her flamed cheeks. She was looking so beautiful with that red colour adorning her cheeks. He smiled widely.

"Hey! Look at me!" He whispered. She didn't turn. She wasn't going to let him see her now when he was making her go all red.

"So you will not turn to me?"He asked. She moved her head in refusal.

"Okay!" He shrugged And smiled mischievously. He leaned and kissed her cheek.

"Haww!" She exclaimed and hit him with book.

"What!" He asked smirking.

She breathed deeply calming her fast beating heart. "Nothing. let's get started and now if you didn't pay attention then I won't explain it again to u. Understood?" She said acting stern and strict.

"Yes Ma'am" he said and Chuckled. She giggled too.

And then they both got engaged themselves in studying and understanding the concepts.

It was break in their college after hell lot of lectures. They both proceeded towards the canteen.

Just then leela came towards them. Naira felt worried. She didn't want to listen any thing from her. Whenever she speaks she brings back the memories which Naira has buried deep inside. Of her parents.

Naira hands felt sweaty. She didn't want to face her. She didn't want to spoil her mood. Just then she felt a touch. A warmth which seeped inside her body calming her. She smiled softly looking at him who was holding her hand and was gazing at her assuringly. Telling her she is not alone. That he is there for her. She blinked telling him that she's okay now. When he is with her.

After seeing them holding hands. Leela went away making an irritated face. While they went to their group.

They both sat beside each other and  started savouring their food.

"Naira!" He called

"Yeah!" She Looked up at him.

He brushed his fingers at the corner of her mouth. Removing a food particle. His hands lingered there for more than necessary. And her eyes moved upto his eyes looking at those pools of emotions.

"Hmm.. it's fine now"he whispered. Taking his fingers slowly away still looking in her eyes. And then he took his fingers off completely and continued eating his food.

Naira lowered her gaze and she too continued having her food. Feeling giddy. But they didn't notice that they were the centre of attraction. All friends were looking at them and giving each other knowing look.

After looking at them,Ayesha cleared her throat making her presence known.

"Kartik-naira" she called.

They both looked at her expectantly.

"Do you both have something to tell us?" She asked eying them.

"No!" They answered in unison and bewildered with this sudden question of her.

"Are you both sure?" She asked again wanting to listen. Something particular. All of them looking at them expectantly.

"Yes!" They said and then their brain took 2-3 min to register what she is talking about. They both gazed at each other.

"Uh-oh!" Kartik turned to them and stuttered. all of them looked at him quizzically.

"Yes? Speak!" Ayesha spoke impatiently.

He gulped and blurted. "We are a thing now!"

"What!" They exclaimed in unison with diff emotions playing on their faces. And they both knew that they aren't getting free from their friends' clutches anytime soon.
