𝐈 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐞

Levi stood his ground as he held out his blade glaring up towards the beast titan with a dark glaze in his eyes ready to kill the damn bastard.

"Foolish enough for you to call yourself a hero. She's a curse!" The beast titan claimed.

"She's not a curse and I don't care how different she is to compare herself with the other brats." Levi 'tch' as he pulled his blades standing in front of the girl ready to face the beast titan."Y/N, your not a curse because you were born with a special gift."

"You continue to say the same thing over and over again. She doesn't know how to control her power at all! It's impossible after the legends of her say it's true." The beast titan clarified to the young male shoulder.

The grappling hook of an omnidirectional mobility gear pierces his shoulder and an enraged Levi Ackermann bursts through the haze of signal flares that have formed around the Beast Titan. Zeke tries to stop him, but Levi dodges his thrust and cuts along spiraling wound around the Beast Titan's arm, tearing it to pieces. Zeke then remembers that Reiner Braun had warned him to watch out for a single soldier; Captain Levi. Realizing who he is fighting, Zeke covers his nape with his Titan's hand, but Levi's next attack takes out the Beast Titan's eyes, followed by its legs and remaining arm, sending Zeke crashing to the ground.

You grew worried watching the fight as Levi took on the beast titan on himself with no one to help him out.

'He just keeps on fighting.' You thought.

But the battle you recalled back after hearing from the other side of the wall the bloodcurdling screams of soldiers dying in vain. The battle against the armor and colossal titan to watch your friends struggle to fight against them and to keep on living. Not to mention when all of them were trying to rescue you, Eren, and Historia from Rod.

'No. Enough. I don't want anyone else to die.' You begged just watching Levi combat with the beast titan as the thought of him dying next was just what you feared. 'I don't like this. Why do they keep trying?'

You didn't realize until you watch Zeke tries to harden when he realizes Levi is going for his nape but does not have enough time before Levi tears into the Beast Titan's form with such force that Zeke is ripped out of his Titan.

"I'm not going to let the same mistake happen again!" Levi declared.

You stared up at them not realizing that you were standing back up on your feet. You were walking towards them while clutching onto Levi's cape as your eyes were only focused on Levi recalling back his words.

"Y/N...I am going to be your hero!" He outspoken loud for her to hear.

Levi jams his blade into Zeke's mouth, taunting him by reminding him that he cannot transform while his body is regenerating. Though he would like to kill Zeke, Levi first wonders if there could be anyone else left alive. Even if that person is dying, the Titan injection could save them and allow them to obtain Zeke's Titan power.

"Levi..." You called his name in an audible tone not realizing your golden eyes were glowing and a spark sensation was coming from you as everything went black.

"Well now, Rod I suppose you want to know what that girl is, right?" Rod's father narrowed his eyes into his son's staring at him as he cleared his throat. "That child right there is a member of the Reiss family. The mother and father abandoned their own child leaving no trace until Kenny found them and finished them that is." His father said as he continued furrowing his eyebrows, "One day, I end up finding the girl in the woods and witnessed something that none of the members of the Reiss family has ever had. Maybe you can do some research to find out what's going on with her abilities."

Rod said, "It shouldn't be a problem, father."

Through many pieces of research that Rod has done, he was explicitly bizarre of this girl's power. He stayed up day and night to find out what the girl's power is and after his father was devoured by his other daughter Frieda to pass on the power. He came across something that he couldn't believe was true.

"Impossible. A power this strong and reluctant is most likely phenomenal." Rod muttered as he tested your blood cells after slicing your arms to do more research as it should be. "I'm not wrong, am I? None of the titan's serum is in this girl's blood, and it's something so vulnerable. This child i-it can't be, could it? Y/N titan is...."

Just in the middle of the transformation, you were now in a titan form with long black hair and your golden eyes that were glowing. They were like crystals glistening like the sun that shined in the sky. Levi stopped his tracks as he saw his daughter transformed into her titan form.

"The golden titan."

Zeke was escaping just as the Cart Titan appeared to catch him, and he was about to go after him until he remembered his promise to Erwin. The titans were now targeting straight at him, but Levi was ready to face them until he stopped when you charged at them in full speed. Your sharp teeth ripped off one and you hopped onto another to do the same. You were strong and fast that even using your titan powers of rewinding the titans too.

"Y/N..." Levi whispered your name as he saw you finished the last one off on your own after releasing a roar.

'I don't think Y/N can understand what's she's doing. She's completely lost.' Levi thought as he used one of his hooks to attach to the girl, but he missed when she sensed him and swipe her hand at him. She took off to run inside of the wall, and manage to find Eren and the others to head straight for them.

"Another titan shifter!?" Jean exclaimed.

In the battle with Reiner, Conny tries to get Mikasa to stop her attack, thinking it too risky. But out of nowhere, a lone soldier arrives with another Thunder Spear and hurls it into the other side of Reiner's jaw, which detonates and causes his mouth to fall open. Mikasa recognizes Hange, who shouts for Mikasa to take her chance. Mikasa lands right in the Armored Titan's mouth and fires her Thunder Spear inside. It explodes, sending Reiner flying out of the back of the Titan's nape, putting him out of commission.

Now that Armin has fallen away, Bertholdt moves on with his previous plan, taking care of Eren and the horses. But when he looks down at Eren, he realizes that where Eren's Titan was lying before, now there is only its hardened shell. He then saw you climbing on the wall, to sit next to him as he stared into your eyes to see how golden they are. You were trying to help him get back out there and fight against them, however, you both witnessed Armin has not been blown away by the steam, but is still tethered to him somehow, held up by the blast of scorching air. Armin has in fact anchored himself to the Colossal Titan's teeth, correctly concluding that they would not be consumed like the rest of the Titan's body. More importantly, while the Colossal Titan is emitting so much steam, Bertholdt is unable to move. Despite the pain from his body roasting in the heat, Armin struggles to hold on and buy more time.

Bertholdt is perplexed by the idea that getting himself cooked like this is the best plan Armin could come up with, given Armin's intelligence. Bertholdt decides that if this really is the end for Armin, he can at least make it quick; he turns up the intensity of his steam, causing Armin's clothes, hair, and skin to burn away. You manage to rewind Eren with your power without thinking as the both of you got off the wall, and you charged at the colossal titan and you weren't that strong compared to his height, but you were willing to use your power on him to dispose of his titan form and was able to get Bertholdt out of there.

Y/N

It was pitch black as I tried to open my eyelids to find myself back in the village. How did I get back here when I was with Le-dad.

"Hey! That titan was able to get Bertholdt out of titan form." I heard Jean's voice in a distance.

"Yeah. It looks to be a female titan---only a child." Sasha said.

I sat up scanning my surroundings when I saw Eren's titan shadow hovering over me as he looked at me as if he was reaching for me. My vision of Rod came to me and I completely lost it as I broke out when he touched me as I let out a scream. Eren was screaming too and I was staring up at him so scared.

"HEY! WHAT THE HELL IS SHE DOING?!" Connie exclaimed.

"T-That's Y/N...in her titan form!" Mikasa shouted.

"What? Are you serious?" Jean was in disbelief to see that I was in my titan form. "But what is she doing to Eren?"

"She's completely lost control! If she keeps that up there won't be anything left of Eren." I heard the voice belonging to Levi who was watching me as Eren collapse on his own knees in front of me struggling to let go.

'Stop! He's going to die!' I thought.

I heard Rod's voice echoing in my head from the harsh words he would say to me through his experiment on me.

"You are just an imbecile child! You don't listen and you continue to be a brat!"

I trembled as I was terrifyingly scared.

"Every action you take on others will end up dying because of you!"

I felt my eyes watering. I was crying so hard remembering what the beast titan said to me.

"She's a curse!"

Warm tears were falling on my face as I spoke through my titan form, "PlEaSe! PlEaSe DoN't DiE!"

"What do we do?!" Connie exclaimed.

Mikasa thought of a way to swoop without getting herself killed as she looked over at Levi who was standing there trying to think of something to help me.

"STOP!" I roared. "I DoN'T WaNt ThIs!" And before I knew it I felt the back of my nape cut open in a flash to see Mikasa and Levi freeing me just in time before Eren's titan got destroyed or even worse. His whole body that is in his titan form would be wiped out too.

"Y/N...Can you hear me?" I heard Levi's voice as he held me in his arms as I stared at him tiredly panting heavily.

"D-Daddy..." I croaked. He held the back of my head as I nuzzle my face in the crook of his neck feeling his hand rubbing down my back to assure me that everything was fine. I was already feeling light-headed and I passed out in his arms.

Levi

I landed on the rooftop near Eren after using the last of my gas. I demand the rest of Eren's blades and gas so he can pursue Zeke. Eren begins to comply when he hears Armin gasp for breath.

Elsewhere in Shiganshina District, Hange Zoë asks a conscious, but dismembered, Reiner Braun about a metal case that was in his chest pocket. He tells Hange that it is a letter written by Ymir and that the Scouts need to deliver it to Christa. Hange agrees, but only after they inspect it. They would like to ask him more questions, but draws their blade, feeling that he is not inclined to talk. Reiner does not disagree.

However, when Hange begins to cut Reiner's throat, Jean Kirschtein asks them to wait, thinking they might be able to steal his power. Before beginning the operation, Erwin Smith had laid out guidelines for the use of the Scout Regiment's one syringe of Titan injection, with the expectation that they could take the Beast, Armored, or Colossal Titan's powers. Not only could the Scouts gain valuable information regarding Titan's powers, but they could also revive a single soldier on the brink of death.

However, Hange does not feel that all the conditions have been met. I had the injection, but we do not know his status and we are uncertain they have the time to find out. Even if Hange cuts off Reiner's head, they are not certain if that will actually kill him. Jean argues though, that this is not like Hange, and asks how they are supposed to beat the Titans if they back down because they lack the knowledge. Hange considers and asks Mikasa Ackermann to meet up with Eren and Armin to check out their situation, then to refill her gas and retrieve the injection from me. If she cannot, then she is to fire a signal flare as a signal to end Reiner. Mikasa agrees and flies off to find me.

Mikasa arrives to find Eren bent over Armin, desperately encouraging his friend to breathe. Eren hurriedly asks Levi for the syringe so they can have Armin eat Bertholdt. Levi, after a moment's hesitation, agrees and pulls out the case with the injection. Seeing this, Mikasa fires a signal flare as directed, but before Hange can kill Reiner, the Cart Titan gallops up behind them. Jean quickly fires his omnidirectional mobility gear and pulls Hange out of the way before the Cart Titan can eat them.

"Captain! Why not use your daughter? S-She can help bring Erwin back with no problem at all." Floch desperately begged for me to use my daughter to heal Erwin and shook my head.

"I'm not using my daughter to heal him," I told him as I glanced over to see Jean holding her in his arms. She was panting and I could tell she was getting a fever again after using too much of her power. "She's had enough. Her power is already used up and she's too weak to go on any further."

Third Person

Despite Floch's intervention, Eren tells Levi about Armin's dream to look at the sea and admits that, though he was only ever driven by hatred of the Titans, Armin is not like him, and has dreams of his own. Levi glances at Armin's body and then gives the order for everyone to clear out so he can have Erwin eat Bertholdt. The group relocates, with Floch taking Eren away so he cannot intervene, and Levi is left alone.

Levi drags Bertholdt into position as he thinks about Erwin and Armin's respective dreams. He takes Erwin's arm and prepares to give him the injection when Erwin suddenly lifts it out of his grip and raises his hand, apparently believing himself to be back in his father's classroom. Delirious, Erwin asks his father how they can know for sure that there are no more humans outside the Walls. Levi regards him with surprise and remembers how he asked Erwin to give up on his dream, and how his uncle Kenny Ackermann had spoken about how people could only keep going if they were drunk on something. Remembering Erwin's gratitude to him, Levi makes his choice.

Bertholdt wakes up in time to see a small blond Titan looming over him. He begins to struggle and notices his former friends watching from several rooftops away. Bertholdt panics and cries out for help but to no avail. As he screams for Annie and Reiner, Armin's Titan closes its jaws on his head and devours him.

Floch asks Levi why he changed his mind as Levi and Hange sit beside Erwin's body. Levi explains that Erwin only became a devil because that was what was needed of him. He had been set free, but they were about to drag him back, and Levi decided it was time to let him rest. Levi apologizes to Erwin that he was not able to kill the Beast Titan as he promised, so he will have to wait. Hange inspects Erwin and lets Levi know that he has passed away.

Behind them, the blond Titan collapses to the ground. Eren, Mikasa, and the other 104th cadets surround it as Armin Arlelt emerges from the Titan, unharmed and healed.
