THE NEXT DAY AT SCHOOL WAS QUIETER THAN USUAL. Hawk hasn't insulted Violet at all today and she was starting to get suspicious.

Violet saw Hawk once or twice in the halls, but he didn't say anything. She was wondering what he was plotting.

"Hey, Vi." Violet whipped her head at the nickname that either Demetri or Hawk would say, but to her surprise, it was Miguel.

"W-What did you just call me?" Violet asked, being caught off guard by that nickname.

"Oh, I-I called you Vi. I don't know, I guess I thought it was a nickname people call you. Sorry I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable or anything. I was just trying to-"

Violet cut off the boy and his rambling.

"Miguel, don't worry it's okay, you can call me Vi if you want." Violet laughed at Miguel's cuteness.

"Okay, sorry, anyway, are we still good for studying tonight?" To be honest, Violet completely forgot about her plans with Miguel since she was too focused about the night before.

But she didn't want to cancel on Miguel, so she agreed to still hang out with him.

"Of course." Violet smiled and Miguel returned it.

"Come on, let me walk you to class." Miguel offered which Violet gladly accepted.

Violet was at home playing on her piano, enjoying the sounds of music flow through her ears.

"You're playing beautifully, Ms. Ocean," Martin said while cleaning up her house."

"Thank you, Martin. I appreciate it." Violet thought about asking him for advice, but she tried to get it off her mind.

However, Violet couldn't get this specific thing off her mind and it was driving her crazy. So she decided to ask Martin for advice since he is great with it.

"Martin, can I ask you something?" Martin turned in her direction and put his full attention towards Violet.

"Yes Ms. Ocean, how may I help you?"

"Well, okay, so there is this boy at school and for some reason, I can't get him off my mind." Martin's eyes widened and he grabbed a seat next to Violet being intrigued by the conversation.

"Mm, I see well, who is this boy?" Violet wasn't sure if Martin knows Hawk, so she diverted the question.

"A boy. Anyways, he's been giving me mixed signals and I just don't know what to do."

Martin held Violet's hands and squeezed them slightly. " Violet if you really want to catch this boy's attention, make a big impression. Be bold and stand out. Either way, you are a goddess that is out of this world. He would be a fool to not like you"

Violet smiled at Martin's words and gave him a hug.

"Thank you, Martin. You know, with my parents not being home as much, you are basically my parent."

Violet can see Martin's eyes fill with joy. "Why thank you, Ms. Ocean."

Violet smiled then continued with her piano playing.

"No, no, no you're supposed to read this chapter and I'll read the other one." Violet was hanging out at Miguel's house reading the chapters they needed for the test.

"So, I hear you're friends with the royal family, how is that for you?" Violet wanted to tell him the truth that her relationship with the Prince is horrible and he basically bullies her, but she wanted to keep the good reputation of the royal family.

"They are cool," was all Violet said then buried her head in the book.

Miguel knew she was lying but didn't want to pry so he just read his book as well.

Violet had so much on her mind and she wanted to tell someone so badly about her childhood trauma with Hawk. She couldn't help it anymore so she talked.

"The prince and I used to be best friends back in second grade." Miguel looked up at Violet, now intrigued by what she was going on about.

"Then one day, out of nowhere, he stopped being my friend and started to bully me for no reason."

Miguel looked at Violet with sympathy and gave her a comforting hand on the back.

"I wish I can just go up to him and tell him I want to be his friend again, but that's not how it works especially since his attitude has become really cocky lately."

"Yeah, I feel you. I mean, you still have me as a friend." Miguel smiled shyly which made Violet blush.

"Aw, thank you, Miguel, you're a great friend." Violet gave Miguel a hug and he immediately hugged back.

However little did Violet know, Miguel may be thinking of her as more than friends.
