As Charlotte sat down in her long navy dress, her leg bounced as she sat on the edge of her bed. This was it: her first interview since the "announcement". She almost vomited. What would people say? She had told her parents that morning, when they had came home. She already told her them it was fake, though she told them to tell no one because it could get her fired. They agreed 100 percent. She also told her friends, though she didn't tell them it was fake, and they all squealed excitedly when she told them. She joined in, holding back tears of pure suffering.

Charlotte's mother knocked on her door, before pushing it open. She sighed, a deep look of "im sorry" on her face.
"It's time, Charlotte" she gave her daughter a sympathetic look.
"Oh dear god, are you sure? I could've sworn it was later-"
"I know you don't wanna go, trust me, but you have to. I know how much you love acting and i really don't want you to be fired over something silly. Lets go, sweetheart" She smiled at her beautiful daughter.
Charlotte sighed in defeat "Ok, mom" she smiled back.
And with that, they made their way down the stairs, into the car, and down the road as they made their way.

As the camera's flashed, Charlotte maintained a pretty smile while she posed. Walker had already passed, and he was waiting for her for the interviews.
When Charlotte finished walking down the carpet, she walked over to Walker, who had been standing off to the side, silently watching her. He had been feeling confused since they had announced the whole fake dating thing- suddenly being around her wasn't such a chore. And, he thought, looking at her, she didn't look half bad tonight.
"Hey there" Charlotte smiled, flattening her lips. It snapped Walker out of his thoughts, startling him
"Hey" he replied cooly.
"What's up with you? Waiting on me and everything" Charlotte smiled teasingly
"Not by choice "babe", I was told to come get you for the interviews. Starting soon."
Charlotte scoffed. "Thanks, 'babe'. Real helpful."
"No problem. Come on, everyones waiting"
Charlotte followed behind him as they made their way over to get interviewed.

"So!" the interviewer enthusiastically started "lets get into it! Charlotte: what made you want to audition and be a part of The Summer I Turned Pretty?"
Charlotte breathed in "Well, since the books have come out, i've been the ๐™—๐™ž๐™œ๐™œ๐™š๐™จ๐™ฉ Jenny Han fan" she laughed "so when I heard they were making a show, I knew I wanted to try and do the books justice. I've never practiced so hard for an audition in my life!" Charlotte grinned, placing a hand on the arm of her seat.
Walker grabbed her hand, placing his atop hers. And the weirdest thing happened: it sort of made Charlotte nervous. She felt stupid. She hated his guts, so why was she shifting in her seat?
"Great answer! I think you did Belly a world of justice" The interviewer smiled "Now: Walker. What made ๐™ฎ๐™ค๐™ช want to audition for the role of Jeremiah?"
"Well" he started, his hand still on hers "similar to Charlotte: I did quite like the books, and I felt like I could portray him well enough, if I do say so myself" he laughed at himself "and turns out I was right, I feel like the fans feel the same"

The woman continued with questions for a bit, before she moved on to what Charlotte had been dreading.
"Now, some more personal questions the fans are dying to know: why did you two decide to start dating?"
They both thought, panicking a little on the inside, before Walker spoke up.
"Well, me and Charlotte got very close working together on the show, and we just kinda.. clicked, you know? And im the happiest guy on earth now that I have her" he smiled widely, and Charlotte's heart just ๐™—๐™–๐™ง๐™š๐™ก๐™ฎ hammered in her chest. Barely. Because this is all fake. He hates her, and she hates him. Done deal. Sealed. Done. Maybe?-

"Exactly. We just instantly had that connection, and we get along so well" she looked up at him, smiling brightly.
He returned the smile, turning his head back to the woman.

After the interview, they both walked out together in silence. As they both waited on their taxi's, Walkers arrived earlier.
"Go, i'll see you later" she stated when he hesitated getting in.
"I can't leave you alone in the dark by yourself. I won't, its too dangerous. Come on, get in"
Charlotte went pink, though he couldn't see due to the darkness engulfing the pair. She sheepishly stepped in, him following close behind. Charlotte canceled her taxi and put her phone in her lap.

The ride was awkward. Walker kept glancing at her, then shaking his head in disbelief. He should hate her. He ๐™™๐™ค๐™š๐™จ hate her. So why is it so hard to believe?
Charlotte was a mess herself. Damn her producer. He did this: he confused her like this. And she hated it. She hated Walker. She hated her situation.
Finally, they arrived at Charlottes house.
"thanks, Walker" she managed, smiling slightly.
" 'Course. I know your a bitch, but your a sorta nice bitch"
"wow, throwing compliments around now are we?" Charlotte smirked "well, your a slightly less annoying fucker then you were a few days ago. Happy?"
"Yes. Now go, please" he smiled at her.
"Fuck you then" she laughed and walked up to her house.
She opened her door quietly, as it was late and her parents were likely fast asleep. She quietly crept up the stairs and flipped her light on. She shut her door and changed into her pyjamas and quickly flicked her light off before quickly getting under the covers.
Her last thought before she slept was Walker. She meant what she said: she did, in fact, find him slightly less annoying then usual. A whole lot less.
