Akarshika was seeking solace in the books, strictly instructing Harsh to ensure no one entered. After finishing her book, she let out a sigh. She glanced outside and decided to apologize to her mother for her rude behavior. Rising from her chair, she opened the door to the library and came face to face with Harsh.
Senadipathi?" Akarshika called out, as Harsh turned towards her. "You seem to have quite a lot of knowledge about politics, am I right?" Akarshika inquired.
"I apologize, princess, I do have a fair understanding of the subject," Harsh replied humbly.
Akarshika, clearly dissatisfied with his response, rolled her eyes and spoke, "Could you please enlighten me about the Pandavs?"
Harsh nodded and began, "Rajkumaar Yudhishthir, son of Yamaraj, is known for always abiding by dharma regardless of the situation. Rajkumaar Bheem, the son of Vayu, is revered as the strongest warrior. Rajkumaar Arjun, son of Indra dev, is renowned as a skilled archer. Rajkumaar Nakul and Rajkumaar Sahdev, sons of Ashwini kumar, are known as the handsome prince and the intelligent one among them, respectively."
Akarshika listened intently, her interest piqued after hearing these names after so many years. "I recall visiting Hastinapur as a child when I was not very familiar with all of this. Could you perhaps explain what this Kalapradarshan is about?" she asked curiously.
"Rajkumaari, you see, Rajkumaar Yudhishthir was born a day before Rajkumar Duryodhan, and it was evident that Yudhishthir would be the next king. The Kala Pradarshan is a ceremony to showcase to Pitamah Bhishma and Mahamantri Vidhur that Rajkumaar Yudhishthir has the potential to be a great king. On the contrary, Maharaj Dhritirastra and the Gandhar raj wanted to prove that Rajkumar Duryodhan would be the only suitable king," Harsh explained.
Akarshika chuckled. "Seems like cheap politics," she stated, receiving no response from Harsh, who clearly avoided discussing political matters.
"Don't worry, you won't be punished for speaking your mind," she said with a smile.
"Yes, princess," Harsh replied.
"General Harsh, that's what I appreciate about you – always speaking the truth," she said, offering him a Ruby ring.
"I don't accept donations," he said firmly.
"Very well, then consider it a gift. You know that Rajkumaari Akarshika doesn't give gifts easily, right?" Akarshika stated.
Harsh reluctantly accepted the ring, realizing that it was a stroke of luck, as the proud princess was not someone who readily praised others. "Thank you," he said.
Akarshika entered Arshi's chamber, and her mother asked, "Here to apologize?"
"No," Akarshika replied.
"You shouldn't lie, Indu," Arshi said, while the maid in the room chuckled. Akarshika glared at the maid.
"Alright, yes, I am here to apologize, and I apologize for my behavior," Akarshika responded. Arshi smiled, as she knew that Akarshika preferred not to be surrounded by people, except for Uluka, Harsh, and herself, the queen. Akarshika had forgotten how to interact properly with humans at times, but Arshi knew that her daughter, once you knew her, could be the sweetest person, albeit with a touch of arrogance.
"Well, is there anything else?" Arshi asked.
"I am going to Hastinapura not because father asked me to, but because I have to thank someone," Akarshika replied.
"May I know who that someone is?" Arshi asked in her gentle, soothing voice.
"I don't know. He said he was a sutputr and disappeared before I could express my gratitude. He mentioned going to Hastinapura," Akarshika explained.
Among all the people, Arshi, her mother, was the only one Akarshika enjoyed conversing with, besides her brother, who often argued, and Harsh, who always remained silent.
