Suilad! Suilad and welcome to another round of "Psy draws Cevrond and probably will fail, thus creating a new design for a completely different OC" - October Edition!!

So this time I attempted to do this a bit more serious. I drew his face, which does indeed look pretty good to me - I probably will keep that for a while - and then I realised:

so I copied the lineart a gazillion times and drew him different hairstyles, most of which will indeed appear in his design, but to different times. I also played a bit with the consistency of his hair, since I. STILL. DON'T. KNOW. IF. I. SHOULD. GIVE. HIM. HIS. MOTHERS. OR. FATHERS. HAIR.

so you can clearly see my struggle on that front.
The thing with Cev is, that he is a person, who knows more or les exactly what he wants. He has a strict moral code and follows it right through 'till the end. But as sure as he is about his actions and decisions, he's equally unsatisfied with his appearance.
The thing with Cev is, that he often doesn't quite fit in, since he often puts his ideals above everything. Meaning: "No, it's against the law to drink already, so I'll pass on the bar night." or "Sneaking out after midnight id forbidden, even if it is for a study session, so I won't do that."

What he doesn't realise is, that most other people admire him for that and because of his usually relaxed nature his friends just accept his opinion and find him cool for it.
Still he tries to at least feel more a part of the children his age, through at least looking like them, so he went through various phases of different haircuts, beard styles and clothing directions.

This again became a problem, when he started to be promoted and was mostly surrounded by people that were about 100 times his age, in some cases even 400 times his age.

So.... the thing is... Cev has problems with his appearance and changes it a lot, which sucks because I'm the idiot that has to plan out and design every single phase he goes through... anwayways here are the different hair ideas I had for this portrait ^-^"

The first one is a more simplified version of his "usual" haircut. I just... had fun, essentially and wasn't willing to experiment as much, just yet.

Second one was a bit shorter hair, without the undercut and open hair... again, nothing all that interesting.

Third one... well... his usual hair, but shaved shorter... I liked it a lot, but it's more something for the younger Cev ^-^"

Fourth one looked cool, but it's essentially Ruindîrs haircut, and I didn't want the two to be twinning on that aspect.

Five was more or less just for fun, because... >>looks at Mith<< well... he needs rapunzel-hair at some point...

Number six was just a bit of a more outgrown version of number three. Those two will definetely be part of his hair-adventure.

Eight (Pfft, who needs the number seven anyways?) was an attempt at something more orderly and adult, yet cool. It would probably look cooler, if I wouldnt have fucked up the drawing...

Nine is something like the mixture between 3 and 6... and I like it....

Ten is... well it's the Cev-hairstyle............ it will always be the Cev-hairstyle...

With eleven I tried more Feredir-esc hair, giving him the same hairstyle that his father once had when he was younger... looks cool on Crook, but it doesn't suit Cev here.

Twelve.. oh boy. OH BOY. Yeah, it's a more traditionally Clockworkian hairstyle, since wild, unevenly cut and straight hair are totally in fashion at the time... and FUCK MAN, I LOVE IT.
It's not something Cev would wear if he would wear and look how he wanted himself, but he will to 500% have that haircut going on, when he's fresh out of training and is trying to fit in to his new Paladin Quarters. (Also..... he'd look super cool next to Alagion with that hair...)

Thirteen was an attempt at something like bangs... we shall ignore this please, since it doesn't look all that good.

(Also... can we take a moment to appreciate the fact, that all the multipliers of three kinda suit him?? That's randomly satisfying on a whole 'nother level, guys!!)

Anyways, thanks to Mith I originally went with idea number eight (hahahaha... who needs to be able to count in the first place?)  so I drew it on my littel portrait, finished the flats and all that fancy stuff... I played a bit with hair and skin colour...

And then I looked at this:

Well, I thought, that it looks cool, but it didn't feel right... it felt very very much wrong to be fair...

SO HERE'S THE NEW OC-DESIGN WE WON FROM THIS CEV-DRAWING-SESSION!!!! YAYY :D

So... yeah.... me being my stupid self then went ahead and... well:

Yeah. Yeeaaaahhhh... I went ahead and did absolutely nothing with the new ideas. I literally drew him the same as I always do and I literally could've just done none of the hair-designs...

Anyways in the end I could do one of these though, and I think that always looks cool ^-^

Wow! I wasted a shitload of time to get the exact same result, that I always do ^-^

Other than that, I do indeed still hope that you like the drawing, or at least some of the hair... I had a ton of fun, even if it feels kinda pointless in the end.
